We sailed on the Carnival Sunshine out of Charleston, SC on a 5-day cruise that started on 04/24/23.
This was our 11th Carnival Cruise and 31st cruise overall (19 with NCL and 1 with RCCL). We have Platinum status with Carnival.
We had flown into Charleston the day before and had reservations at the Embassy Suites in the historic district on Meeting Street. It is located inside the former ...
Just returned home April 22 2023 I have been cruising with carnival for at least 20 years have gone on many many cruise all with groups of peoples. This last one was a horrible experience no rest noise everywhere young adults were out of control partying in their cabins racing down the hall, fighting, cursing, arguing it was horrible. Excursion were a waste of money Fun Shop was disappointing ...
I chose this cruise based on my daughters spring break and the local saving us flight tickets. They over booked the cruise creating hell for the staff to be able to keep up. Food was NOTHING like we’ve had on our 8 previous carnival cruises. Rooms were minimally cleaned and definitely was not worth what we spent. They turned out two person cabin into a three person by placing a cot in the only ...
Chose this cruise as we could drive to Charleston instead of having to take a cruise out of Florida where we would have to fly to. Every meal we had either buffet, restaurant, steak house was all fantastic. All the staff worked hard and were very pleasant. There were long lines at the pool bars but staff were working hard to get us our drinks. Guy's hamburgers were a big hit with my grandson ...
Carnival has seriously went down hill. The food was awful at the buffet. Dining room food is practically what used to be available at the buffet. The portions are so small in the dining room it’s almost like a kids meal. Imagine paying 100s of dollars to eat fried chicken or a small piece of chicken for dinner.
You best eat your hamburgers and pizza because gone are the days of having a nice ...
So... We chose this cruise based on availability for spring break. upon booking, we knew it would be crowded. the crowds were the least of our concerns. the check in and disembarkation process was very efficient and moved quickly - no issues with either. carnival has it down to a science for sure. so 10 out of 10 !
Food: thank goodness for guys burgers - that's what we survived on the ...
We chose this cruise for the length, and port, as we were trying out a cruise with 4 grandchidren ( 1-6 years) and their parents. The itinerary was fine for our group. This is our 7th Carnival cruise, the last being in 2005.
Our cabin was amazing. ( 7198) So much storage...the tub was great for the grandkids but might be difficult for some adults to get in and out of. Nice balcony, sofas. ...
We just returned from a cruise on the Carnival Sunshine out of Charleston. We had 14 in our group and we had a blast. We were on the Lido deck with a balcony. Nice clean room and our Stateroom attendant was Elna. She was so caring, kind, and attentive. Anything we needed she was able to provide. We ate Breakfast and Dinner in the Sunrise. The servers were excellent. We had Putra as our main server ...
My birthday was the 19th and Charleston is a 6 hr drive from our home. We were 3 couples and we had Spa Cabins. The location was great because we just walked out the "back door "to everything...movies, bars and restaurants.
We are all normally on Princess or Celebrity cruises and this Carnival was our 3rd Carnival and the 3rd cruise we took since the Covid lockdown was over. . Last ...
I chose this cruise as experience with a group of friends. It was close for all of us and the itineray was a plus for the group.
Embarkation was easy and as good as any i have done. It was quick and efficient from parking to getting on board the Sunshine After boarding we dropped our bags in our rooms and went to the Lido for lunch. First mistake of the cruise. Went to the Deli for the first ...
