My husband and I went on the Norwegian Gem to Canada several years ago. We had such a nice experience that when we came across what we perceived as a great deal for a week to the Bahamas on the Breakaway, we jumped at the chance. The deal included the Unlimited Beverage Package and 3 specialty dining options in an mid ship balcony stateroom. The embarkation process was delayed for over ...

This was my first cruise, I didn't have much to compare it to. The embarkation was horrible I can't blame Norweign as they had a yearly drill, so we were stuck in line standing for at least an hour and half (not fun). The shore excursions in Florida and Nassau were great, we booked one for Great Stir-UP Cay but didn't know we were suppose to meeting someone other than the theatre for ...

Breakaway misses the mark

Our second cruise on the Breakaway, and this cruise was a significant decline over our July 2016 cruise. The cruise line cannot control some things, like weather and delays, but they can control their reactions to events and control communication. Both of these were very disappointing. Service was average at best. One guest suggested much of the crew seemed new/inexperienced. Another ...

We chose the Norwegian Breakaway Out of NYC for convenience to connect for our family from New Jersey and PA to meet easily! The ship seemed to offer the best in on board entertainment restaurant /dining options and many other amenities including excursions. The staff were attentive especially to our one handicapped family member making her comfortable in every way. We will surely be back! My ...

Children chose this cruise. They sure know how to pick a cruise line. Truly great ship. Simply the best all around. Food great. Ate mostly at Savor. Good choices- great food. The cabin was excellent and all service was the best. Anything we asked for was taken care of right away, no problem. Now for a tip to you cigar smokers. Visit the cigar bar. Went there with my son-in-law for an hour or ...

Booked a multi destination cruise and stay, Niagara Falls, New York City and a Bahamas cruise. Cannot fault anything, apart from the transfer from the port to JFK, as the taxi wasn't there. This was not the fault of the travel company, but the supplier!! The ship had great food, fantastic entertainment and all round excellent value. The shows were as good as any West End show in London, the food ...

GREAT TIME/HUGE SHIP

This is a HUGE ship so be prepared to walk a LOT. There are lots of things to do onboard but my favorite was the live entertainment.. There were the smooth Caribbean stylings of Soulful Pleasures who also did an awesome "band-aoke" session poolside. Watching amateurs sing along to the band was cool. There were also great performances featuring the vocal acrobatics of the very talented duo known as ...

I chose this cruise because it was inexpensive. Also since I have cruised many times on NCL I received many perks that were well worth the booking with them. I chose a balcony because I like to get up in the morning and see the sun. Also this ship has many activities that I wanted to try such as the obstacle course and the slides. By the way they were awesome. I also did the rock climbing wall ...

Norwegian Has It Right

This was our first cruise with Norwegian. We have 5 cruises with Carnival. This was the first time that we actually felt that time slowed down. Our vacation did not seem to be rushed. During our cruise, we did not feel like we had to be any specific place at any specific time. Embarkation The terminal at Manhattan is a bit small. Therefore, they run into an issue where there are too many ...

Awful, will never cruise again thanks to Norwegian

I went on the Norwegian Breakaway from 10/15-10/22 and I couldn't have been more disappointed in the experience. There certainly were excellent staff members (the staff at Shakers Martini bar were great) but the rude and obnoxious ones (of which there are many) stood out. I've never had so many people in the service industry act so rudely towards me. The Hostess at "the noodle bar" on the first ...
