This was our 2nd MSC cruise out of 60 cruises. We had such an unfavorable opinion of the 1st MSC cruise we went on a few years ago that I vowed we would never sail with them again. But, the price was so attractive that I wanted to give them an other shot and was hoping they had improved. They did not. We were seriously wanting to do their 30 day Cape Town to Venice next March 2023 but figured ...
I chose this ship and itinerary because it included an overnight stay at their private island Ocean Cay. The island was fantastic, walk right off the ship and about 200 yards and you were at beautiful white sand beaches. There were several food trucks and a buffet all included in your cruise fare, bars too if you had a drink package aboard ship. There were three very small souvenir shops and an ...
We assumed that everyone was vaccinated and had been tested prior to sailing. Boy were we wrong. As soon as we departed my husband, a cancer patient, was in the ER with COVID. We experienced several people on the ship coughing. Guess these folks did not get a true test or lied about being tested.
The entertainment on the ship was very poor. We thought it was going to be like our last MSC ...
The food was delicious and the service was the best I have ever had on a cruise. All the workers took great care of us. Our cabin steward John kept our room clean and brought me distilled water for my CPAP machine. The wait staff at the pool was the best. Ray, Jane, Justyn, Linnie, Mayur, and Michael made sure we always had cold drinks. The excellent service continued in the dining room as well. ...
Honest Review of MSC Divina
First let me say when I review the MSC Divina I do it based on the experiences I have at with NCL (1), Royal Caribbean (1), and Carnival (5). This is my first MSC cruise. Before I get started, I want to say the service was by far the best I have ever had. But there were some things that could be improved as well. I’ll break them down by category and then PRO’s ...
I had booked a handicap cabin, on the very back of the boat. I did the research and based on the pictures; it was large enough that there was enough room for all my assistance stuff. I checked cabin dimensions, I scoured the internet for photos, I choose cabin 8271 because it had more square footage than the other wheelchair accessible cabins, both in the cabin and the deck. It also, according to ...
Looking for a quick get-away and wanting to try a new cruise line (our 11th different line), we jumped on a deal for a Bahama cruise on the MSC Divina. Coming off a Cunard Transatlantic two weeks before, this would be interesting to compare the two. Spoiler Alert: Divina outshone Cunard in service and entertainment. We has their Aurea experience package which got us early embarkation and ...
My husband and I selected this cruise because of the port and itinerary. We have sailed on other cruise lines but not MSC. The reviews here as you know are very mixed so we went into the trip with an open mind and not very high expectations other than to get away.
When we got to port there wasn't another car in sight. Later we found out the ship only had just shy of 600 passengers for this ...
We chose this cruise for a several reasons . The cruise line ,the itinerary, the port of embarkation, and amenities offered.
We are new to MSC cruise line and wanted to try something different ,and also the loyalty points match was also very nice as we had some points with another cruise line.As far as the itinerary we have been to Costa Maya and Cozumel on prior cruises but our main ...
Was looking for a little vacation for my wife and I so we both thought Cruise. We used MSC before and it was ok but we thought it was because of all the excursions we did. Free Balcony with cruise so we booked. During booking process I picked a room that would fit our needs and close to where we wanted to be. During check in at the terminal they told us they switch our rooms and called it an ...
