This cruise was chosen by a relative who desired an extended family cruise together, and was chosen largely based on the lower cost. I have worked for both Carnival and Princess Cruise Lines, and have cruised with Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Disney. MSC was by far the strangest and less comfortable than of any of my other wonderful experiences. We would not cruise with MSC again.

My family and I had an awesome experience on the MSC Divina! What did I love...everything from the dining experience to the shows to the rooms.
We traveled to Ocho Rios, Jamaica (not the best port but not MSC's fault), to Georgetown, Cayman Islands (really enjoyed the snorkeling and Stingray City), to Cozemel (Deluxe Beach was perfect) and then on to Nassau where we took a bus tour.

We chose this cruise because it was a good price point and my family in general enjoys travel and being around other cultures. I will say the food was great, service was fantastic (especially George from Romania in the Black Crab!) and the ship was beautiful and clean. The shows were well done and a good length - not too long or short. We went every evening and really felt the entertainment crew ...
We took this cruise as a family adventure to celebrate our son and daughter in law's 10th anniversary. The main draw was that kids sail free which was a major factor for our sons with small children.
We have sailed extensively primarily on Celebrity and RCCL so this cruise was a bit of an unknown for us. In comparison the MSC held up well but is definitiely a small notch below RCCL and a ...
The ship is beautiful and super clean, staff was very friendly and balcony cabin very spacious. We have been on 15 cruises with other cruise lines but this was by far the nicest ship when it came to ambiance. With all that being said I have to say this cruise line does need a little tweaking to get the American cruiser back onboard. Starting with the embarking, they take your picture, then send ...
with the exception of a few staff encounters with my toddler everything on this cruise was at best average. the food was okay (better at the buffet than the dining room), room was in poor condition. staff could have been friendlier and more courteous. i think they are overworked and understaffed. all of the challenges we had I believe were due to poor management not necessarily the staff's ...
HITS: The ship itself; cabin size; stateroom service; overall food quality; Galaxy Restaurant
MISSES: Main dining room service; bar service (with one notable exception); buffet set-up; entertainment; onboard program; drink package deception; thermal area; crowds
THE BOTTOM LINE: a stunningly beautiful (and impeccably maintained) ship that would be better suited for a near-luxury cruise ...
We have sailed with the majority of the major lines - RCCL, Celebrity, Holland, NCL and Disney since 1997 and this was one of the nicest cruises we have experienced in years. The Divina staff, crew and officers exuded a quiet calm and created a relaxing, friendly atmosphere from the moment we embarked the ship. No BINGO announcements, inch of gold and T shirt sales or decks cluttered with tacky ...
We chose this cruise because of the price. We had never been on a cruise and were planning on being in Florida to visit family and decided to give it a shot. We flew down the day before and spent the night in Deerfield Beach to start off our vacation. We read and read all we could about MSC and Divina before the cruise and were excited about our cruise. Many thanks to all of the members of this ...
We cruised Memorial Day week on our first cruise. My husband, 2 young daughters and myself really enjoyed ourselves the ship is absolutely beautiful. The food was great in the main dining room as was the buffet but the buffet is chaotic. We never had a problem finding a seat at the buffet or finding a variety of food just so many people everywhere.
I loved that if you wanted to relax you could ...
