The dining room experience was amazing Alejandro Jefferson Blando and his companion were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the shows which were so professional. We will definitely be sailing with MSC again The embarkation procedure was slick and stress free The food portions and quality was amvic The reception staff were efficient and professional We were booked on the second sitting for dinner which was 9.30pm which was a little to late but we still enjoyed it. The buffet was too crowded and the staff were not very efficient so we choose to dine at lunch times in the Black Crab restaurant and have the a la carte which was superd and beyond our expectations as last year we cruised with Princess cruises and there was no such option to do this MSC go all out to make you trip a great experience Read Less

From the moment we arrived to the port we were taken care of. It was hands down the best vacation and cruise we have been on.The ship was just the right size, the cabin was great even with 4 people. The food was wonderful in the Yacht Club restaurant. The kids had a blast in the kids club and the Spa was great. There was one downside, I could not get my family off the ship. If I had not prepaid for a few of the excursions we would have never left the ship. Luckily we had already been to most of these ports. All they wanted to do was hang out at the Top Sail Lounge or up top by the pool. The concierges went above and beyond to make our trip perfect. It was a great experience. So much so we canceled our Disney cruise for next year and rebooked on the Seaview. And yes we have been on Disney cruises before :) The Yacht club is amazing and worth the money. Read Less

This was our 7th MSC Cruise, 6 travelling in Yacht Club. We embarked on MSC Divina in Rome. As part of the Yacht Club experience we were taken to an area and offered drinks and snacks whilst we were checked in. Before we could finish our drinks check in was complete. We were taken aboard the ship to our room, which was immaculate. House keeping come twice a day and should you need anything additional you just call the butler and he will bring it to you. We dined in the main restaurant every evening and the service was excellent. I can be a fussy eater but they never made me feel awkward and were always happy to bring me something that wasn’t on the menu. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. We went to a couple of shows and the casino and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As we were tired we decided we would stay on board and didn’t get off all week! The ship was fantastic, service was amazing, we loved every minute, so much so we have 4 more booked with MSC. I see the negative reviews and can’t understand how our experience is so different, possibly the Yacht Club makes a difference. We both work in customer service and have high expectations, we have never been disappointed. Read Less

We choice this cruise because it departed from Valencia and we could easily drive there from our home in Alicante province. As first time cruisers we were a little apprehensive about everything. There was no need to be!! Everything was so simple. The parking was easy to find. We handed our luggage in, showed all our documents and we where away. A bus took us through the port and the first sight of MSC Davina was WOW!! She looked amazing. We boarded the ship and got a very warm welcome from the crew. We went to deck 14, the buffet deck, had a spot of lunch (had to try the amazing pizza). After lunch we had a wander round the ship, and found our cabin. It was a balcony cabin, which was an adequate size, with good storage and was spotlessly clean. Our luggage arrived quite quickly at our cabin, we unpacked and our first cruise began. We found our way to The Black Crab Restaurant for our evening meal. The food was lovely and the waiters very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend MSC to first time cruisers, it gives you a chance to sample cruising at a lower price than other cruise lines. But don't let the fact that it is cheap put you off, there is nothing cheap about the ship or the standards. Read Less

We love cruising, are seasoned travelers and active seniors from California. We chose this cruise on the Divina for the itinerary -- some places we haven't been, the relaxing sea days crossing the Atlantic, a great ride to Italy. As expected, the ship was stunning, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had a variation of venues inside. We'd sailed once before with MSC, and of course we'd read all the warnings -- but we recognize that crabby people don't like anything, always complain. In all but one area (embarkation) this was a fabulous experience! Our balcony cabin, Aurea experience, was clean and stylish and efficient, with a cabin steward who didn't bug us all the time, but was always available and amenable. The dining room was a highlight -- from the seating hostess who greeted us with a smile every day, to the waiter who was fun and helpful and knowledgeable, to the bus boy who always smiled and kept our table spotless. The menus were varied, there were some "interesting" dishes, but plenty of choices, including comfort food. The food was hot, the servings were not huge but we were always satisfied -- just right. The buffet was pretty standard, though seating areas are larger, which helps. The pizza place was special (about $7 per pizza), cooked to order, with wines/beers well-chosen. The large central snack area had an ever-changing mix of small sandwiches and pastries (complimentary), gelato, coffees and fun drinks. We all four bought the "drink package" so we tried everything/everywhere -- coffees, smoothies, cocktails, wines and beers; we met for pre-dinner drinks in a different bar/lounge every night, always greeted courteously -- smiles, little conversations about the ship or the port, tasty drinks served quickly and cleanly. All the dining and drinking venues were gorgeous -- beautifully decorated, thoughtfully furnished, unusual but not weird. We loved that there were a lot of places to visit after dinner with music, some for dancing and some for listening, all comfortable and friendly. (We wished for more rock-n-roll, but the disco didn't start up until almost 11:00. This is a good place to say that Europeans seem to have dinner and parties later than we're used to, it's just a difference.) The big theater shows varied widely, from opera to Sinatra to costume productions, so sometimes we said, "no way" and sometimes we said, "can't miss," all seemed pretty well attended, and the variety was key. Another big plus on MSC is that they're not in your face all the time selling stuff. As mentioned, the only negative part of this cruise with MSC was embarkation -- it was a mess! We joined in Miami and it was awful -- they need to get their staff out front, communicate with them and through them. The other thing that gets complaints for MSC is the many languages spoken, every message in five languages, queueing with all those people who don't speak your language -- Americans are not tolerant of this, but it is a European experience, and a silly thing to complain about. We had a great cruise on a great ship with great service, great food, great ports! We'll sail with MSC again. Read Less

What a great experience!! The ship was absolutely beautiful in its décor and Venues were plentiful! The food was phenomenal in the dinning room and the best we have had in the buffet! We always managed to find seating in the buffet and in venues after searching a bit. The staff were absolutely pleasant and attentive to our needs, except for face clothes. We only ever got 1 a day, even though we asked for 4, Seems like they are a hot commodity! We ended up "borrowing" more when we saw a maid cart in the halls. The shows on this ship were absolutely wonderful as well and the seats in the auditorium were very comfortable. Our balcony room was well appointed and roomy enough for 2 with ample closet and drawers for all our belongings. The bathroom as well was very nice. The outdoor spaces were always kept clean and well maintained and I loved that we didn't always get asked by bar staff if we wanted something (we are not drinkers) Our wait staff in the dinning room (Oscar & Ana) were fantastic as well, always remembering our drink preferences and make wonderful suggestions. We loved the diversity of the guests on board, many Europeans and Canadians. It was the first time on a ship where you heard such a variety of languages! Was wonderful! The entertainment staff were wonderful at getting people having a great time. Overall, I think Divina will be a re-do for us! Read Less

We have enjoyed our cruise! We were in the Yatch club section who is oustanding! The quality of the service was wonderful and the food was at the same level! Show in the theater: not good at all! 30-40 minutes max per show and after 3 shows, I gave up and spend more time at the lougne! Boat in General: nice boat with all you are expecting from a major cruise line . Yatch club: much better than NCL Heaven. Yatch club cabin: OK. Could be larger for a delure room. We were three in the cabin (my 22 years old son was wiith us). Thre sofa-bed is not a good bed and not a good sofa. The staff at restaurants and bars speaks often English, French,m Spanish, Italian... I was surprised to receive service in my mother tongue. The majority of travellers on this cruise were from Europe and the service / food was targetting and corresponding to this market. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary. I traveled with my partner, mother and aunt, sister and brother in law. We all booked Bella Interiors last August, linked our bookings. In December, we were thrilled when we received free upgrades to balcony staterooms! However, like so many have mentioned, their website/customer service needs some work. Nothing we couldn't figure out and find solutions, but it seems more complicated than necessary. Once booked, I started researching and reading, and was quite surprised by the number of negative reviews related to MSC. We're pretty laid back, so I wasn't too worried. Well, turns out I could not disagree more with the negative reviews. The ship is stunningly beautiful, with great care given in ensuring she is well maintained. The staff were attentive and friendly. Cruise Director, Miguel Angel leads a group of talented and endearing people who made sure our cruise experience was second to none, with a particular shout out to International host, Wesley, French host, Zahir and the ever joyful Sasha. We found the international vibe on this cruise greatly contributed to our experience. It was so refreshing to be cruising with people from such a wide variety of nationalities and cultures. It would be a shame if MSC were to change their approach to look too much like the other cruiselines and try to cater to one specific nationality. Food was delicious. We had 6pm dinner in the Black Crab dining room. Dinner was always a highlight of the day; our wait staff, Oscar and Ana, provided friendly and attentive service. Dinner would generally take between 90 and 105 minutes, which we felt was perfect. We never felt rushed nor did we feel that we were waiting too long for the next course. I had read about issues related to water glasses being refilled or coffee not being served with dessert - never an issue during our cruise. The food was delicious and the variety provided options for even the most fussy of eaters. We ate lunch at the buffet a few times. The food was good and although the buffet area was quite busy, finding seating was not an issue - plenty towards the back of the ship. However, the hallways throughout the buffet are quite tight, especially in the beverage areas. Entertainment was great. MSC provided nightly entertainment in the theatre. Their singers and dancers are the best we've seen at sea. They also have entertainment staff working the crowd before showtime - this was a nice (and mostly comedic) touch ... kudos to Juan Carlos! There was always things to do throughout the ship during the evenings, much to the delight of the majority of passengers - most venues were full with happy people! The venues themselves, especially the Black and White lounge and the Golden Jazz club could benefit from being bigger with better seating. Outdoor spaces were great. Garden pool was delightful, as was the Aqua park and Lido deck. One word of caution - do not walk barefoot near the Garden pool. The beautiful ceramic tiles get fire hot! We were always able to find loungers, although we had to search on a couple of occasions. Nothing we haven't had to do on each cruise we enjoy! Another major plus - smoke free casino! Although we don't indulge in the casino experience, walking through it was always pleasant, unlike other cruiselines. All in all, this was among our best cruise experiences. I would not hesitate to sail with MSC again, and am actually looking at a few itineraries! Looking forward to sailing with MSC again soon! Read Less

I picked this ship for the itinerary and after reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous about going. Boarding was a breeze, the best one ever, just walked the line and disembarkation was smooth. The ship was beautiful and clean. The staff was great and super friendly. The shows were good some were more enjoyable that others but that is the way it is on all cruise ships. The same with dining some days better than others but again that is the norm just a preference of what you like more. I can’t say enough about the entertainment people, they were the best I experienced so far. They enjoy their jobs and it showed! The interaction with the passengers was amazing. They had people dancing, participating in games and laughing everyday and always with a smile. They seemed to care about how they could make your experience better. The captain even made himself available on different occasions and wanted to know how they could improve and asked for suggestions. There may be a few minor things I could comment on but not worth the mention. There were some rude people on board but that is not a fault of the ship and they are everywhere. I would recommend this ship and I would certainly travel with MSC in the future. Read Less

The cruise is an island. If on one side there is the sun, on the other hand you will find a shadow, if you wind on the open deck, in the bow: calm flat, if they make a mess in the upper pool, you can relax on the three floors below, if the buffet does not offer you the right alternatives, at the restaurant you need a la carte. A perfect island. With the horizon always different. If you want to be involved, you will not have breath. If you wish quiet, nobody will break it. Also because the various planned excursions (from the rainforests to the suburban favelas, from the Mayan temples to the dazzling houses of the most fashionable actors, from ultramodern cities to gravel roads in the middle of banana and coffee trees), fill eyes, heart and spirit, somatize from any presumed claustrophobic principle, and indeed, make the return on board even more pleasant, between comfort and attention. So much so that we are already organizing another for the next year, because even the fairy tale of high costs, must be debunked. Of course if you pay, you can have the royal suite, the 24-hour butler and champagne for breakfast. But they are negligible excesses, because the concerns dedicated to all the guests are incredible, the extreme cleanliness, almost maniacal, the air of joyous carefree constantly palpable, the services of the first order. Then there is that everyone lives a different cruise ... there are also people who kill themselves in a row at the buffet, waiting for the elevator to the floors a lifetime (while we have done at least two thousand steps up and down between the various bridges) , or who gets up at dawn to reserve a bed on which to remain lying until evening, regardless of anything that happens around ... We have never even unleash group dances, nor 'the small hours at the disco; defected as a rule DIY courses, tastings in wine shop (we were already looking bad at the restaurant), the usual photos with the Commander and the pools in the pool. We preferred bridge tours in the evening before the aperitif, burst photos, rejuvenating post-dinner theater, tanning in the solarium of our exclusive relevance, happy trekking of the eighteen explorable bridges to discover every visit of the ship, cocktails and whirlpools (also in contemporary), without denying us a distracted shopping and nice gala evenings to do the fleas on how he manages to dress (!) the average American ... But also reading Grisham in silence and in the sun on the balcony of our twelfth floor, with only the sea whispering murmurs, off the coast of Belize ... ... I assure you that it is absolutely not negligible. Read Less
