Overall this was a very good cruise, smooth sailing, good weather & well organised tours with great cruise staff. A few disappointing aspects. -Happy hour has gone. This was a great opportunity to meet people & socialise. -The coffee card has gone. Your coffee purchases are now credited to your ship card. If you don't use all your credits on the cruise they are gone. The unexpired portion of the old style coffee card could be used on future cruises. -Disembarkation at Hong Kong can be disastrous if you are waiting for a taxi. It took 4 hours to get one. Princess should have warned passengers about this. A prearranged transfer is highly recommended -A better system of arranging seating for the Princess Theatre sorely needs improvement. We did not get to one performance because it was packed out up to an hour before the show. Overall a clean ship with good hygiene standards. Very few sick people noticed on board. Read Less

The free room service was great, as was the burger bar. I also really loved the free food at the 24hr International Cafe and the Ginger Twist tea there is really nice. Matt Baxter, who sang and played the guitar, was great also. I would have preferred that the production show was an hour long rather than just 30 minutes, and the choreography was quite elementary. The dance and Zumba classes provided were good, but I would have enjoyed more. The sail-away party was a lot of fun and the music in the night club was great. The decor around the ship was very nice and since I was able to embark nice and early I had the pool to myself for a while, which was really nice. Stephanie, the entertainment director from France, was great! She was really friendly and a great dancer also. My Cabin Steward, Bong, was extremely friendly and kept my room immaculate. Read Less

My wife and I have cruised many times with Princess and have been on both the Dawn and The Sun several times so we knew what to expect. We were a little disappointed to see the rusty condition of the hull when it docked in Auckland prior to our cruise but were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the public areas once we got on board. The adults only area at the stern of the ship has been upgraded with new flooring and comfortable loungers and seating. Unfortunately this area became very popular and it was only possible to get a seat by getting there early. It was disappointing to see some passengers "claiming" their seats and then disappearing for long periods of time even though there are signs requesting people not to do this out of courtesy to others. We were on back to back cruises 6 days Sydney - Tasmania - Sydney and 10 days Sydney - North Queensland - Sydney. We enjoy this class of ship it is not too large, has a promenade deck you can walk right round, is easy to find your way around, and good areas for pools and hot tubs. We were disappointed to hear that this ship and I presume the Sea Princess are being retired and will be replaced by larger ships like the Majestic Princess. Although we do like the Golden and Diamond Princess, the Majestic class of ship appears to us to be a move in the wrong direction. While the cabins are small they are adequate for 2 people, there is plenty of storage and ours was kept very clean by our steward Ramon. The beds and pillows are so comfortable! There is a great app available on the TV showing live location and the other channels all worked well - not that we spent much time watching TV. The Captain and the cruise director were excellent - the best we have had and we have cruised a lot. They kept us informed about changes to our schedule made necessary by Cyclone Oma via a very detailed program in the ships TV channel. We found the food in the main dining room to be generally very good although there were occasions when the meat or fish was overdone and dry. We learned to ask for it less cooked than we would normally do in a restaurant and then it was about right. The selection and variety was excellent. We ate breakfast and dinner (traditional) in the main dining room and lunch in the buffet where we would put together our own salad. We went to lunch after 2:00 pm when it was easier to get a table. The variety available was huge and each day there was something different to choose from. We had vouchers to go to Share and Sterling Steak house. Share was different, interesting and tasty. We did not have a good experience in the Steak house. My wife's Steak was overcooked when it first came out, looked ok the second time but was tough and inedible. My Lobster was large but tough and needed a sauce, the Lobster in the main dining room was much better and free. We would not pay $35 a head to go to speciality restaurants when the food is fine in the main dining rooms. It was good to see hand washing being policed at the entrance to the buffet, with the majority of people complying. The Production shows were excellent. A guest soprano who joined for the Bravo show was a highlight - simply amazing and deserved the standing ovation she got at each show. The other guest performers were disappointing. Live music was very good in the bars and atrium areas. The only things we thought could be improved was the price and range of bottled wine, and the time taken to get off the ship in tender ports. Unless you were on a ship's tour it took 2 to 3 hours to get ashore. On our second cruise we did find a separate page inside the front of the drinks menu where there were a few bottles of wine at a more reasonable price. Overall we were pleasantly surprised with this cruise, and as always the majority of the fellow passengers we spoke to were interesting and helped to make the cruise a great one as were most of the crew we interacted with. It seemed to be a happy ship thanks I am sure to the Captain and his management team. Read Less

We chose this cruise based on itinerary primarily, followed by our previous positive experience with a Princess. Embarkation at Sydney was smooth and our rooms were ready at check-in. Luggage arrived to the cabins before dinner. Staterooms were standard, storage adequate, bed was above average. Stateroom was reasonably clean, light fixtures dusty though. Entertainment options were above average (kept us busy and happy on those days at sea). The evening productions were very good, some excellent, and there were 2 options to see each night (timed so you could see both). We chose the “dine anytime” option which worked well for us....sometimes eating at 5pm....sometimes as late as 7:30. The food options were pretty good. They were able to accommodate our lactose intolerant friend as well as having gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegetarian options. We paid for the internet....turned out to be slow, spotty service but it eventually got the job done (I do not recommend a “—-“ minutes plan. That would be beyond frustrating!). We did not eat at the “specialty” restaurants. Not impressed by the menus or the extra charges. My observation was that they were wasted space on the ship as very few of the other passengers went to them either. Disembarkation process was also smooth and organized. Overall, I am very pleased with the cruise for the price (a good value for the $$ spent). We Read Less

First time Princess cruisers, a good trip on an old but reasonably good small ship. The ship was very clean and the crew were continually doing some sort of maintance every day. All the staff were very friendly and very efficient no request was too hard for them. They were happy and always smiling Cruise Director DuVaul Gamble was excellent best CD we have ever had and we have been on many many cruises. The production shower were outstanding especially Bravo but there was little pool side activities, the area was under utilised. Fine dining was the best we have ever had at sea could not fault any meal. All the meals were served hot which is a real surprise given the number of meals being served at once. The food in the Horizon Court was horrible always looked like left overs from a few days ago and there was very little variety.D Read Less

We, FIVE OF US, Nan 2 daughters and 2 gtranddaughtets, wanted to visit NZ also go on a Cruise, so both was ticked. We made our booking and off we sailed. Getting on ship to commence our Cruise was very smooth, no delays, actually very impressed how well organised it was. Our luggage was delivered to our Cabins, excellent. Both our Cabins were well furnished, the beds comfortable, very clean, lots of room to unpack and put our clothes etc away. Everything we needed was supplied. The dining in Horizon was great, lots of food to choose from, also no need to rush as food was on going quite late,we especially liked dining in The Regency, we had to book ahead however this was not a problem. The food and service was top class. Lots of entertainment going on all through the day for young and old, bingo, trivia, production shows, craft,Movies etc. Duty free shopping on board is quite good, but we were getting over it by day 3 especially with the continuous leaflets to try and get you to buy. The art much the same, however the paintings were beautiful. We enjoyed everything about New Zealand, such a beautiful place, very clean and no huddle and bustle in traffic. We did a bit of everything- The Hobbit tour was absolutely worth doing, even though we happened to get a lot of rain, we went canoeing so good, also we shopped as well as checked out some history in the Museums, visited some beautiful churches, went to some local markets and talked to the locals over all lots to do and enjoy. Each time getting on and off ship was very quick, the crew are very polite and helpful. When we returned to Sydney, we all agreed that we had fun and possibly in the near future we shall take another Cruise. Read Less

Sea Princess has only changed a little over the years and she still impresses. First time inside cabin was excellent for napping and sleeping, but I'd still prefer a source of daylight. Cabin was neat n tidy every time upon returning. Cabin Staff exceptional hardly ever seen but always available. Marquee Dinning was excellent, the service and food, Five Star. The lunch time Grill was a sensation, fantastic concept and an essential. Cafeteria, as usual neat clean always present with all foods for all times of the day, evening and night. Crab Shack and Steak House, are a must do. Curtis Stone's Share also an experience that should be done. Good Food, Good Wine, Good Family and New Friends. On n off the ship, not a problem, easy, quick and staff courteous and informative. On n off the ship via Tenders also trouble free and ran smoothly and effectively considering the numbers going ashore. Overall a great cruise. Staff from the ever informative Captain to the cabin attendant all helpful, courteous and able to answer all questions and all willing to provide suggestions and alternatives. First time away for myself and family over the Christmas / New Year period and found it totally enjoyable and a great experience, would love to do it again. Sun princess was an enjoyable experience with mostly good weather for most of the cruise. Was very disappointed with our cabin layout as we had a bunk bed & were expecting three single beds at floor level . This was difficult for my husband who is 70 & opted to take the top bunk . This could possibly have been my fault as I booked the cruise on line , however I feel that I should have been made aware of the bed arrangements from someone at princess lines due to our ages . I would have gladly upgraded to larger cabin had I been made aware of this when I booked the cruise . We did timed dining at 5pm daily & were very fortunate to have two wonderful gentlemen who waited our table . They were Patricio Castillo - waiter & Ranilo Torrance - assist waiter 10 . They made our dining experience so very enjoyable , always called us by our names with lots of warm smiles , a dash of humour & at all times very professional & prompt with servicing our table , a big well done from us . The entertainment on board was varied & enjoyable . The excursions we did were enjoyed by all . Overall a very enjoyable cruise . Read Less

We read a lot of reviews after we booked this trip and there were many unflattering things said about the Sun. I wanted the opportunity to share both the good and needs improvements we experienced. The ship is small and dated, however the common area under went a recent refresh which erased some of her age. There was a constent odor in the halls and around deck 7, not sure if it was food waste or other but it was noticiable enough that it needs to be addressed. Due to her size space is at a premium which is why all of the specialty dining locations are carved out of common space. Of all 3 the Kai is so under utilized they really need to consider bringing back the pizzeria. If there were more than 5 people eating here it was crew, Princess needs to review the demographics of their passengers. Share was literally in the atrium on the 8th floor - not the place to go if you're looking for a quite romantic dinner. Sterling is literally a curtained off area in the Horizon Cafe - this was the only specialty restaurant we went to. The food was excellent the service hit or miss depending on your waiter but it was very cold up there. You definitely needed a jacket. We were in Club Class so that afforded us a separate sitting area in the MDR but we ate off of the same menu as the MDR. Overall the food was very good, the only disappointment was the seafood / fish -- frozen and lacking flavor but the Chief and his team tried to make up for it with flawless preparation (this issue with the seafood / fish is not unique to Princess, we experience the same in the Laminae restaurant on Celebrity). We did not eat in the Horizon cafe - we walked through a few times and it just did not look appetizing -- this is consistent with other reviewers. I think in this area Princess should execute the less is more strategy. Fewer options better quality. For the oenophiles out there the new wine list is great, they have really upped the game here. Great selection by the glass and bottle. What was really great was if you ordered a bottle they would hold it for you so that you could enjoy the next day. This allowed greater variety beyond the by the glass offerings. The entertain was great, there was a little something for everyone. The bar / spa / shops / photography team did not pester you to buy buy buy. If you said no they respected that and left you alone. This was a bright spot for us. The cabin was spacious, the furniture worn but the bed was beyond comfortable Overall we really enjoyed this cruise and would sail the Sun again in the future Read Less

We chose this cruise because we have heard so many good things about NZ. Also this was our 2nd time on the Sun Princess. NZ was great and we were blessed with good weather. The buffet is your average food on Princess, not much has changed. It really needs to improve. There are so many easy interesting dishes that can be added to the buffet without costing a fortune, and for appeal. Every breakfast you see is the same things, eggs, bacon and cereal. I was a bit shocked to see fruit loops for breakfast - this stuff is full of sugar and so unhealthy. Hot chips for breakfast; really. The Chinese congee was inconsistent on a daily basis. The condiments were always empty. In the additional, there should have been some kind of protein available, such as cooked chicken or meat to add to the congee. I think a yum cha station could be of some benefits- made to order. Fine dining was either a hit or a miss. The lobster and prawns, beef wellington and lamb rack was outstanding. There should have been a cuisine theme night showing other international dishes. Some Asian and Indian dishes were not of standards. The German Oktoberfest was terrible, and we were in the month of December. Hygiene and customer service was outstanding. The cooking demonstrations was terrible and it’s the same dishes as usual. The kitchen gallery tour was terrible too, did not see cooks working, just work stations. Entertainment was okay, but not great. Freddy Mercury impersonation was good, however I wanted him to play more piano. Okay he lost his voice after so many nights singing and this can happen. The piano player, Liam ? was okay, but he has to stop hitting the keys, just play smoothly. I e seen better pianist on Princess. Overall, the Sun Orincess was Ok, on this cruise there was a lot of elderly people, getting tender took forever, but you learn to find patience. Read Less

We left Sydney in glorious sunshine at an early 3.30pm. Boarding was easy and efficient. The overall condition of the ship was good, older but perfectly acceptable and no way near the condition some reviews indicated. We stopped at 6 ports and cruised around Fiordland for a day which was brilliant. It rained at all ports except 2 and rained pretty much the rest of the time- no fault of the ship/cruiseline. This did not really affect our enjoyment of the cruise. We have tried 3 other cruise lines and this unfortunately was the worst for food we have tried so far. The choice of food in the Horizon buffet was very limited and the lunch and breakfast options changed little each day - this became monotonous very quickly. There was a buffet line each side of the ship but they served the same food. The main dining room was better, but personally I found the dish selection again uninspiring with a lot of seafood dishes and not many meat options on the menu. I like seafood but my wife does not and I could see her point of view. Ships aircon seemed to make the ship warm then cool then warm again all the time. The shows were of a good standard, with a variety of acts. Entertainment during the day was good but not as good a Royal Caribbean. I thought the drinks prices for cocktails was high and the amount of alcohol in each drink was not generous- I tried a few. The staff were great and hard working. All the passengers we met had a great time and we arrived back in Sydney to glorious sunshine. Read Less

Whilst we had an enjoyable time on the cruise, we met some great people and in general the crew were fabulous and hard working. There are always one or two who have not taken their customer service training to heart. The beds and pillows were amazing as always but we felt the cabins were a big let down. The brochure images do not prepare you for the tiny, enclosed metal balcony with barely enough room to put two chairs and a tiny side table. It would have been interesting if we had decided to take advantage of the balcony dining option! There was a lot of rust in evidence and generally the ship is showing its age. It had been a couple of years since our last Princess cruise and as many have mentioned drink prices have gone through the roof - we do not drink a lot but an average of Au $14 per drink is a might ambition. The restaurant food was generally good - but on a 17 day cruise it started to be a little repetitive. The usually much anticipated lobster night was a major let down, with the concensus being it was as tough as old boots! There was plenty to do, activities wise on sea days and the shore days were great with the exception of Alotau PNG - whilst I appreciate this is to enable tax free prices (I would hate to think they could be any more expensive). The Shoes were great and the singers fantastic- a guest singer was just fabulous. Embarkation and disembarkation were a dream, with the exception of Brisbane- the first Australia port after PNG, so everyone had to go through customs, which took forever and therefore significantly reduced an already short shore day where most people wanted to shop. All in all an enjoyable time but with reservations about a repeat cruise on Sun Princess, which I understand will be cruising in the Southern Hemisphere for at least another couple of years. Due to the inclement weather we were unable to stop at Busselton on the way back however the activities on board kept us entertained.. I have cruised many many times. The Sun Princess is not The QM2 and does not pretend to be ..nor is she the Oasis but she is a clean and comfortable..with wonderful staff.. My only request would be, better Coffee in the Horizon Buffet and not such long queues for a coffee at the Coffee shop. I do prefer a ship of the Sin Princess size. it is easy to get around. The Lounges and Atrium areas are lovely with lots of entertainment..There are also nice quiet areas such as The Library if you want some quiet time.Great Value. Princess do a great job - value for money is certainly a focus for us and Princess always deliver. Are things always perfect - well no of course not - but then we don't have an over inflated opinion of our own importance and as a result don't let little inconveniences dominate our lives as it appears some do. The trip was from Fremantle to Albany and then to Broome and back to Freo. Overall an excellent cruise with good food, great service and terrific entertainment. What wasn't perfect - well the wine available was limited - which meant either the ordering department didn't do it's job or the suppliers let Princess down. Was it a problem, well not really, just inconvenient - there were many options but not the wine style my wife liked - however this was not the end of the world. What was excellent was the transition we had to make from one cabin to another after four days as the trip to Broome was another cruise entirely. If we had wanted the excellent cabin staff would have moved us - we didn't need that support as we were more than capable of doing the move ourselves but it was instructive to know the service is available. We missed two ports due to bad weather - that's unfortunate but well explained by the Captain and certainly safety is a premium for the crew and passengers Overall and once again Princess proved that they go above and beyond. Recently completed a 4 day return cruise from Fremantle in cabin D604 and then the 8 day return heading north in cabin D709. This was our time on a Princess ship and were aware that it is an older ship. That being said we were happy with the condition of the ship, cabins were kept clean by our stewards as was the rest of the ship. Were aware our cabins would be on the smaller side, so had the rooms set up as twins instead of queen. This gave us more room. Beds were very comfortable and we had enough storage for the 2 of us, even with a suitcase in the cupboard as it was too high for under the bed! Personally would not choose an inside cabin again - prefer to have a bit more light in the room, happy with blocked ocean view. Not enough bar staff for sail away on Deck 12, drinks took a while to order and arrive. For the rest of the cruise we tended to settle in the Crooners Lounge for drinks and staff there were excellent! Remembered our preferences, even the nuts! Food in the Horizon needs to be improved both in quality and variety, as others have mentioned they need to update like P&O or Holland. We had anytime dining in the Regency and never had a long wait for a table as we were happy to share. Nor the few times when we just wanted a table for 2. Service by the staff in the dining room was excellent. Running out of wines thus reducing selections was not! Food was good but standard could be improved. Food at the terrace grill was OK for a light snack(burgers, chips) though pizza slices were not. Didn't go to any of the specialty dining options as none of them appealed to us. Loved the cakes/pastries at the international cafe, coffee was OK. Would like an adults only pool and area. Shore excursions were expensive. Usually we do our own thing or book independently but when these private operators are contracted to the ship there is no alternative. Mark up could be reduced ($100 each is a bit much!) Overall happy with the cruise, came back relaxed which was the main aim and booked our next cruise while on board. Read Less

In the main the food offerings were fantastic, with regular menu changes The staff in the restaurants particularly the regency restaurant on deck 6 were absolutely wonderful and I would love to go on a cruise and experience this level of service and friendliness again. The only negative was that the excusions ashore are very expensive, however we made our own arrangements for this and it was really not that much trouble to find someone adshore that would take you where you wanted to go. The overall experience was enjoyable. The food was mostly good, sometimes very average but occasionally excellent. The shore excursions were partially spoiled by having to go to ‘shopping’ experiences such as gemstone factories that used extremely high pressure sales techniques. The coffee was terrible - both the free coffee and the paid coffee, I recommend you give up coffee during your cruise and drink tea. The staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. It was disappointing that all the extras were expensive such as $30 to play bingo. The deck chairs were comfortable. The bed and pillows were luxurious. Some of the onboard games and entertainment was fun. The cruise band, dancers and singers were excellent. Overall it seemed as though they were always trying to extract more money out of you by encouraging you to but gimmicky artwork, jewellery, expensive shore excursions or buying alcohol, ice cream or coffee. The beer menu was average and even some beers not available. Princess needs to get with the times and expand their beer list into proper craft beer from other countries. I realize it is difficult to appease all patrons but as they have 6 American beers on board Im pretty sure that they could make space for 2 craft beers from Australia or America or even some European beers. Apart from that cruise was fine and everything that I expected occurred. Chose this cruise for a couple of reasons, 1 left from Fremantle, 2 Sun Princess, love it. Embarkation, no complaints at all getting better compared to other cruises we have done from Fremantle. Love taking my bottles of Prosecco on board too! Cabin interior, small but we knew that, comfortable bed and pillows, NO smells and spotlessly clean thanks to our wonderful steward. Food was amazing in the buffet or dining room. We cruised with friends who had only cruised Cunard Queen Mary before and they said that the food and ambience on board SP was better. The shows were good, played Trivia most days, loved the Crossing of the Equator ceremony which is probably my only muse that P&O do their theme nights and parties better, Princess could have at least one per cruise. Never had a problem getting a sun bed and Movies Under the Stars with popcorn was great. The seas were calm and the weather warm. Monsoon came in on time this year with us getting very wet in Phuket at Patong, which you could get to and most people did go ashore. It was a long ride to Patong and the weather did spoil it but not Princess's fault. We were on a local ferry for the tender and that was a bit dodgy. Tendering process when used was very efficient hardly any waiting. Captain made nice announcements and speeches but gave off a clear message not to make contact with him when he walked around ! Great staff behind the counter who had to deal with some horrible, nasty guests complaining about things they should have known about eg turning up on the last night with wads of cash to pay their account which had already had holds put on their credit card everyday and going nuts that they couldn't be taken off...if you have the cash put it on up front and the credit card does not get touched. And some complaining about the end of Ramadan holiday and the monsoon season, maybe research next time. Apart from that we loved that there were not a lot a whingers around the ship as we have had on other cruises, again just them nothing really to complain about! Would love to go on her again especially after the refurb she is currently undergoing, just loved every minute of every day. Some people are just hard to please and I can be as well but no complaints here on this cruise. Getting off in Singapore a breeze compared to previous cruises, new terminal straight out and into maxi cab no waiting. Stayed at Furama as part of the Princess deal, loved it again with Executive Club room and extras. Love Singapore. Only gripe was the Qantas flight home, again as part of Princess package, very small plane, hot cramped, non reclining seats, 2 loos for all economy class, tiny hard seats, miserable crew. All passengers complaining about this plane, much too small for this length of flight. Will book on larger plane myself next time as have done for previous cruise very cheap flights on large airbus with Scoot. After going back to back on two cruises first on Carnival Spirit to Singapore then the Sun Princess to Fremantle, we found the Sun, public area decor relaxing, entertainment fantastic and much more superior, movies for free on TV as well. Cleanliness was taken much more seriously. The state room was in need of an update. The Sun was returning to Singapore for a refurbished, so hopefully state rooms will be fresher next time. We felt at home and comfortable when we came aboard the Sun. The shore tour speaker, Lindsay, was very informative, having experienced every port herself, with wonderful tips about where to go and what to expect. The shore tours were excellent, and we were well looked after. Comparing the previous ship (Carnival Spirit) lectures, the Princess line is far more superior. In fairness, Carnival did have free ice cream and their pools were salt water, drawn in from the sea, and we were given the opportunity to upgrade from an inside cabin to an extended balcony for a small sum, and the cabin was modern. Their decor was over the top, and their entertainment was almost non existing. Read Less

we enjoy new places to see. Cruising is a good holiday for someone with limited mobility always someone to help you. We enjoyed the onboard lectures on ports and topic of interest, more so than active activities. We thought that hygiene update( directed to new wash basins at entrance to buffet) was very good as we have been on one cruise where a virus infected 1/3 of the passengers. Would enjoy more ports of around our country. Choose ports where there are no tenders as Phuket was booked out for an along side birth and the sea was very rough making passengers on the return trip very sick as we bobbed around in the sea waiting for 2 other tenders to board in such rough conditions. We were out there waiting for our tun to unload up to an hour. Beware of cost of port transport from ship to hotel, use local taxis rather than ship organized transport very much cheaper. Read Less

Chose this cruise with sister in law for her 60th birthday. Can't fault the staff they were brilliant and dining waiters made our experience a very fun and memorable one which we looked forward to each evening. The night before disembarking was disappointing as things went wrong e.g. drinks charged to our account which shouldn't have been as we had drinks package. Reception staff were very good at trying to fix problem however it required going back to them 3 times. Sister in laws door card had to be replaced 4 times as it wouldn't open door. One photo staffer was extremely rude on formal photo night which we witnessed again later towards his own staff members on raffle draw. Were refused a coffee at Cafe as staff argued we didn't have a drinks package when we did. Theatre is far too small and requires lots of sitting around early in order to get seats for second show. Captains Circle event was disappointing. Much prefer P & O's approach where you walk in get given canapes and a drink and then line up to get photo with Captain. This event was just sitting in the Theatre hearing a couple of songs from the Princess singers and getting given a free drinks coupon as we left. Over way too quickly. Found the age demographic too old for our age group however in saying this found lots of very friendly people who would strike up a lovely conversation. Just too many wheelie walkers and wheelchairs for our liking. Entertainment staff definitely generated lots of fun throughout the cruise. Shows didn't go long enough - each one only half an hour. Darwin disembarking was horrendous and our tour Jumping Crocodiles very disappointing. Tour included a 1 hour croc tour on the river and a visit to the Humpty Doo Pub. Spent 1 hr at pub and arrived at croc tour at 5 pm, on water at 6 pm and told we were turning around at 6.30 pm. Got lovely sunset photos but that's not what we were there for. Saw 2 crocs on the bank that looked really disinterested as sun had gone down and tour should have been cancelled by ship as we were late getting off ship to begin with and then there were 4 big coaches that headed out there far too late. When heaps of people complained they denied we weren't on the river for 1 hour and preferred to listen to the videographer who said we were, instead of the passengers however all our cameras had the times on the photos as proof but they didn't want to know about it. Our stateroom however was fantastic. Shower was generous and bed was the most comfortable I have slept in on a cruise ship. Position was good as there were no noise problems however because our doors faced each other on a V angle our doorway entrance was quite tight fitting. Food was fantastic and lots off different varieties of places to eat e.g. the restaurants, Horizons Buffet or Terrace Grill. Would have no problem choosing the Princess line again however probably not the Sun as it is a very old ship. Read Less
