We were used to cruising on large cruise ships, so this was a delightful change. We enjoyed the camaraderie of fewer people, great service while dining and stateroom attention. The entertainment was great. The tours were very enjoyable with well informed tour guides. Music was everything from opera (one song) to bluegrass and of course, blues. We enjoyed the cruise enough to sign up for the ...

This was my first experience with American Cruise Lines. All aspects of the cruise was FUN! More training needed of the young service personnel for their sake. All personnel was courteous. Tours were interesting, food was top quality, kept up to date on a daily basis for tours, activities on and off the boat. Looking forward to another trip. Best part, you get to travel, see sights' meet new ...

My wife and I took the 7 night ACL Queen of the Mississippi cruise from Memphis to New Orleans departing on May 23 of 2015. Not only was this the most expensive vacation the two of us have taken in our 33 years together, it was also the most disappointing. I suppose we should have done more research before we booked on this boat but all of their literature led us to believe it would be a good ...

We stayed at a hotel near the port in Memphis. The check-in process was smooth. The boat was in good condition and traveled on the river very well. Spending time on our balcony while going down the river was pleasant. The shore excursions were very interesting and enjoyable The internet connection was slow, when available The meals were better on some days than others, but the one ...

Food, service, entertainment, cabin, excursions all excellent. Loading buses for excursions needs work in view of bad weather and elderly guests. More time spent at plantations and less at stores. River expert needs work on his lectures. ...

Lovely looking boat but that was all. Boarded with another 150 on tour - all from overseas - All English speaking - most if not all very disappointed. Meals were often served cold and tasteless. Took sometimes 1 hour before meal was served and sometimes the delay was because orders had got misplaced - chaos happening in kitchen. Often items very not available or substituted without ...

Since making our reservations in July 2014 for the Mississippi River Cruise aboard the Queen of the Mississippi our three generation family of six looked forward to May 5, 2015 when we would board the boat in Memphis. Although this was the sixth cruise for us we usually were on larger cruise ships sailing in Europe, Alaska, in the Hawaiian Islands or along the coasts is Canada, the Northeastern US ...

Although we had a very lovely time, the dining room staff was very new and inexperienced. If you are traveling with friends and relatives, check in advance to see if you can dine with them ....We were unable to secure a table on a regular basis for the six of us. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and efficient It was a very expensive trip and I don't think it warranted the ...

Overall we had a wonderful time. Accommodations were great, food was plentiful, flavorful, good choices and very good. Tours, for the most part were excellent. As with everything, a couple could have been better, but overall very good. Entertainment on board was adequate. Banjo player Dan Knowles was excellent! With seven days of tours and entertainment, you will always like some better then ...

This was a trip that we had planned for many years. We were a group of 6 and each of us were very excited. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. I wish we had seen some of the posted reviews prior to booking. This cruise is indeed pricey and not worth the cost. The staff were all very inexperienced however, their improvement during the course of the trip was really remarkable. However, We did not ...
