Great but not Exceptional

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

Every thing service wise was great. Our only complaint was that the overall food experience was just not great. Very good, usually, but off the mark enough to notice. Entertainment was exceptional, and Maarten the cruise director did a great job. I'd go back to Celebrity in a heartbeat, especially in Concierge class with the ultimate beverage package. The morning cafe mocha's and afternoon ...

Enjoyable First Cruise

This was my first cruise; so be warned I don't have any prior cruising experience to fall back on. We are also a couple in our mid-40's, so this review may not be a useful resource for a family traveling with children. With that said... here is what I thought of the cruise. The highlight of the trip - the SHIP! The Celebrity Reflection is as good as, if not better than, advertised. While there ...

We did not explore our departure city (Miami) on this trip, however, on the next trip we will be staying at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel. We embarked around 11:30A.M., and were handed a glass of bubbly (I grabbed two). For disembarkation, we always do the early walk off which was 6:45 A.M. line up. We stepped off the boat, the US Customs Officer cracked a joke and sent us on our way. There were ...

The best vacation ever! Eastern Caribbean on the Celebrity Reflection

DH and I sailed away on the Reflection to the Eastern Caribbean from Dec. 10th to 17th. This is only our second cruise, but we both felt it was the best vacation we’ve ever had! We typically go to an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean, but I think we will be cruising from now one. Check-in was a breeze, with virtually no wait time. We had SAS Transportation pick us up at the Rodeway Inn ...

Very noisy rooms.

We had previously sailed on this ship in March and were satisfied with everything but this time we were assigned the rooms above the showroom, which makes them very noisy. We were a party of 8 and had rooms 6118,6120, 6122 and 6124, so avoid these rooms, if possible. We also had a very rude and grouchy bartender at the Casino Bar and also one at the Opus Restaurant. The beer was flat and so ...

Great cruise experience. Problem with the bad weather on way to San Juan from Miami that led to a 3 hour delay in arrival. Very short time in port, but unavoidable. Great food in Opus dining room, apps. could have been a little larger. Very good food at the buffet, and fine dining in Morano was without flaw. Plenty of entertainment throughout ship and a good number of bars to keep your glass ...

Wonderful Cruise - Fabulous People

I am an avid cruiser and was looking forward to travelling on a bigger ship. The itinerary and time frame suited me perfectly. I had been on Celebrity before so this was going to be a treat. My previous cruises had been on Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival. All smaller ships. Embarkation onto the ship was as smooth as it could get, besides me not finding my cr. card to be used on ...

There were four of us that traveled on this cruise together, in two separate Aqua Class rooms (S-1). From the moment we stepped aboard the ship, I noticed a difference in both the crew and staff. The employees were genuinely happy! Wow, so nice and refreshing to hear of the places around the world that the staff had been hired from. Their stories of their homelands were heart warming and ...

Great cruise and second time even better than the first!

Sailed on the Reflection last year and loved it. I must say this one was even more enjoyable (if that is possible). The ship? Immaculately clean as usual. We stayed in cabin 8231 and it was great. Our cabin attendant, Adi, did a wonderful job. For all of you who read this, please, please tip these hard-working, young men well (as we did). They deserve it and you can afford to be generous. We ...

Top cruise line

When I travel I choose itineraries that include ports I've not been to, but I do favor (exclusively really) the Celebrity Cruise line. I choose an Aqua class cabin mainly because of Blu restaurant and the Persian Garden. I like the fact that Blu is a small venue which affords me opportunity to interact with the same diners ... meaning that we get to know each other and conversations blossom and ...
