My daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren took me on this marvelous cruise! From the moment I stepped onto the ship, the experience of a life-time began! The ship was spectacular in every way! The cruise director (Eddy) was always entertaining the passengers with wonderful shows in the 'Reflections Theater', Trivia Quizzes throughout the voyage, the Ocean View Cafe was amazing, with delicious choices of food, not only American, but from other countries as well! It was a wonderful Buffet experience for breakfast, lunch, dinner, as well as snacking throughout the day! The Opus Dining Room was a lovely experience with a courteous staff and not only delicious food, but the presentation of the food was done eloquently! In fact, the entire staff aboard this ship went above and beyond to make sure each and every guest was completely satisfied! The activities were plentiful and the 'Fun Factory' and Kids (Camp at Sea) kept my grand kids occupied and having a blast, as well as safe when not accompanied by their parents and yours truly (Grandma). The Lawn Club Grill featured a 'cook-out' experience with many BBQ favorites, delicious as well. The kids got a 'hands-on' lesson on Pizza Making. The Coffee Bar offered, not only the best coffee/tea drinks, but pastries that were beautifully created and so delicious as well! There were displays of Art, beautiful decks and pools, gift shops, activities, jogging track on the 15th deck, a library, 'hideaway' places for privacy and many more features, And, I had the pleasure of watching the Cruise Chefs put together the most amazing Christmas display I have ever seen! I really had a hard time disembarking! I WILL BE BACK!!! Read Less

5th time on Celebrity and again we had a great time. We used all the fitness facilities and the Persian Garden- highly recommend. We ate mostly in the Opus dining room for bfast and dinner and absolutely have no complaints. We ate in the Spa Cafe for a light lunch and it was perfect. We tried the Petit Chef (specialty-$110 a couple) experience and found it to be the worst of our dinners on ship. The animation was cute but the quality of food fell below average. We loved the silent disco and danced for 2 hrs each time they had it! What a great workout that was! Disclaimer: we are not your average cruiser, we cruise once a year only in Nov and Dec to check out the ports so that if we like them we can come back properly by air. Ports: St. Martin- did a 6 hr excursion with Sualiga Destinations- would not recommend. Stuck up- rude Captain- Anthony, ride from hell, nothing to see. Lied to a friend of ours who is 65 years old with bad back. Her back was absolutely bruised!!! Dishonest and most overpriced boat ride I have ever been on and that is coming from someone who visited 60 countries and owns a boat! San Juan- absolutely beautiful, vibrant old town. Walked to the La Factoria- where Despasito was filmed and then to Taberna De Lupulo. Joined a street salsa party- no tourists only Latin people. Had a blast and will definately come back via air and rent a car for 2 weeks. Antigua- took a snorkeling excursion through the ship with Wadadli Cats (3 hrs)- this was just awesome! Fun crew, friendly, hospitable and just normal people!!! Paradise reef was great for snorkeling- just go away from the crowd and follow the reef, if you are a strong swimmer you will be able to see a lot! Stopped by a pristine beach, too. Drinks and sandwiches were provided. I highly recommend this one!!! Read Less

This trip gives you the best ports of southern carribean which can only be seen on more than a week. The food was excellent every night and the seafood in the specialty restaurant Porch was outstanding.Martini Bar was a happening every night. It is apparent that more guests are staying on the ship in many ports which means there are many repeat cruises on Celebrity. The perks for repeat cruisers are the best of the main line cruise lines. The action in the main foyer brings the largest crowds and most participation.Anytime dining appears to be the most popular and needs to be addressed by the ship to speed up the prime times. The cabin stewards are outstanding and will do everything to make your cruise enjoyable. All officers are most friendly and greet you at every encounter .The food in the buffet line excellent and the variety covers every desire.Would like them to bring back the newspaper in the morning and heard this complaint from several cruisers.Embarcation has certainly improved over the last year.Celebrity is on the right track to being number one once again. The ship was beautiful and the Reflection has become our favorite ship. The feautures we specially liked were: the walking track is not on the pool deck, the rear outdoor seating area was larger than other Solstice Class ships, the Sunset Bar area had lots of seating, the Martini Bar was a lot of fun, the staff was very friendly and the ship was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our dining experience was wonderful. The Oceanview was crowded at times but we always found a table with little difficulty. We did the Tuscan Grill, Qsine and the Lawn Grille. The Tuscan had very good food and the service was good. The Qsine was great fun. We shared a table with another couple which made it even more fun. Great food in good portions. The Lawn Grille was great...wonderful service with amazing food. It did seem as though most of the entertainment was good but we have seen better. I'm sure the time of year had something to do with that. We didn't particpate in many activities. The service couldn't have been better in our opinion. The staff was all friendly and smiling, always willing to help. We have been to all the ports before so there were no surprises there. We took 3 ship excursions and they were handled well. Embarkation was the best we ever had. For disembarkation, we did express walk off and were among the first off so it went well for us. The internet was frustrating. It would frequently not be available or would disconnect our session in the middle of the session. The Internet Cafe staff did their best to help us and it did work better in the cafe. Read Less

Departing from Canada, we always have to arrive a minimum of one day prior to embarkation. Therefore we don’t have much time to explore. Next time we will arrive a few days earlier in order to explore Florida. Embarkation is always easy for us. I am considered handicapped and am unable to stand for any length of time. Therefore we get assistance to board the ship. Everything’s goes smoothly as usual. Always enjoy my champagne welcome. Our cabin with Veranda was as expected but next time we won’t go so far aft. Made for a lot more walking (which isn’t all bad) and a little more noisier than usual but not enough to keep us awake or awaken us early. I always feel spoiled by the attention I receive from crew members. I have yet to meet an unhappy one. I find if you are cheerful with them and acknowledge them, then they cannot do enough for you. I’m always impressed by how clean the facilities are. From the public washrooms to the decks by the pool areas. Very clean. The food up in the Skyview is impressive. There is food there for even the most discerning palate. You would have to be extremely picky to not find anything to your taste. Except for a mix up in dining times, we requested early but were put in the late slot which didn’t suit and that was sorted after three nights. The meals were lovely. There was a nice variety of choice and if you didn’t care for anything on the menu, they were always happy to accommodate you with a reasonable request ie: margarita pasta. Service was always excellent. Our waiter even sang to us. They work their buns off and remain so upbeat. The only thing I would have to complain about is the cost of Spa Services and internet charges. Spa services for massages increased quite a bit over last year. There are no more great port day specials. As I used my spending money for massages only, it didn’t concern me too much but there were a lot of unhappy looking therapists hanging around. They have quotas to fill and if passengers find the services too expensive then the girls don’t meet their targets. So sad. I think the spa would be better reducing their prices and having more passengers use the service. Looks better for them As for the internet, well I waited for port days and just bought a roaming day from my provider to do all the things I needed to. All in all , I will be returning to Celebrity in the future. Read Less

We chose the cruise because we had never been to the Caribbean islands. We had cruised Celebrity in the Mediterranean and in the Adriatic and had been very satisfied with their level of service. The company continues to deliver to a high standard. We took a sky suite so we could enjoy the Luminae restaurant. This is a very comfortable space though I have to say that the level of the cuisine was not as good as on previous cruises. We also used the Spa which is great especially the Persian Garden facility. And my daughter used the gym almost daily. I thought Michaels Club a dark and dismal place so we didn't go often. The concierge service there was pretty inefficient. If we needed anything we asked the far smarter butler, Jo. The shore excursions were expensive and mostly disappointing. For example, Grenada promises the perfume of spices filling the air! Couldn't smell a thing. The visit to the nutmeg factory was depressing. A few scowling women sorting through nutmegs. And hordes of tourists gaping at them. The spectacular waterfalls we were taken to, were just a dribble of water that would never qualify as a waterfall anywhere else! And again a bunch of people wondering what on earth we were doing there...The chocolate experience in Santa Lucia was also really dreadful. A rip off. Having said this. The excursions are not Celebritys fault as they are a product of the island in question. All in all a great cruise. I wouldn't visit the Caribbean islands again on a cruise though. The weather was wonderful though which explains why so any people stayed on board. The shows were average with the exception of the comedians. The live music throughout the ship was exceptional. Top level. Read Less

We had a great cruise on the Celebrity Reflection in Nov-Dec 2018. Since we live in Tampa we drove to Ft. Lauderdale on Nov. 25 to board the ship on Nov 26. We always go the day before the cruise because you never know when an accident on I-75 will shut down the interstate for hours. We normally stay at a Rodeway Inn on Route 84, and they provide transportation to the ship and come get you when the ship returns. We boarded the ship from terminal 25, which was just remodeled for the Edge, and it was fantastic. They have a special elevator and lounge for suite guests, and it was very tastefully done. Unfortunately, this was the first time that the Reflection had docked there and no one at the dock seemed to know where we should go. After three 75 yard trips pulling our luggage to different places we finally found a porter who knew where we should go, and after that, it was fairly smooth. Once we got to the suite boarding lounge we had to wait about 15 minutes before we could go thru security although there were 6 security people there, seemingly not knowing what to do. However, we made it thru security, and the two Michael's Club hosts greeted us and escorted us to the ship and to Michael's club where we had a drink before we went to Luminae, which is a restaurant just for suite guests. About 1 pm, our cabins were ready, and we had our luggage delivered about 2:30, so we were able to do most of our unpacking before the lifeboat drill at 3:30. Our muster station was in Murano Restaurant and it was way overcrowded. They played a video showing you what you should do, but it was difficult to see the TV screens. You no longer have to go to your cabin, get your life jacket, and go the life boats. I cannot believe that the Coast Guard allows this, but evidently they do. This was our second cruise on the Reflection, but our 16th on Celebrity and about 40th cruises overall. There had been some major changes since we cruised on the Silhouette in February 2018; some changes we liked and others we did not. The Reflection has added 20 or so suites, so you had about 40 more passengers in Luminae and in Michael's Club, but the size of the restaurant and club was the same. As a result both places were always crowded. On the plus side, the breakfast for Elite, Elite plus, and Zenith passengers in the Tuscan Grill had returned to the way it was a couple of years ago. When we were on the Silhouette for our previous two cruises, you had a mini buffet, whereas now you got served like it used to be. Sure hope this change was on all the Celebrity ships. The crew was great as always, although the top officers did not seem to be as accessible as on previous cruises. Our suite butler, Allano, and our room steward, Enia, were great. We are going back on the Reflection in March 2019 and we learned that Allano would still be there. Since suite guests get the premium beverage package anyway, Celebrity has change their policy for the refrigerator in your cabin. Before, you were charged for the drinks in you frig or the water on you desk, but no longer. You no longer get the airline booze bottles, but the frig is stocked with some soft drinks and beer. You can ask your butler if you have a special request and he (or she) will do their best to get what you want. I like Blue Moon beer, and it was not available in most of the bars, including Michael's Club. I asked Allano if he could get me some, and after that, our frig was stocked with Blue Moon!! What a great butler!. The food in Luminae was great, just as it had been on the Silhouette, and the service was great. We had one of the same waiters, Josue, that we had on the Silhouette in February, and he took great care of us. Luminae is not open for lunch on port days, so we ate at the buffet, and it was very good, but of course it was very crowded. Our first port was Grand Cayman which we had been to many times before, so we did not get off the ship. The seas were rough, so the Captain took the ship to the other side of the island, and they had to ferry you to shore, then bus you to the other side where the stores were, and we thought that was too much of a hassle. You had no problem getting a deck chair by the pool, so that was great. Our next port was Cartagena, Columbia, and we had been there several times, so we opted to stay on the ship. On previous cruises we had taken some of the tours, and they were good, but we decided to forgo the ones they offered. After Cartagena, we docked at Aruba about 4 pm and we were there until 6 pm the next day. We took the Captain's Club tour, and it was excellent. This was just for Captain's Club members, but just about everyone on the ship that we met had sailed with Celebrity before. Our suggestion is that if there is a tour you really want to take, book it before you get on the ship. Celebrity changed its policy earlier that you can now use on board credit in advance to pay for a tour, and that is what we did. We talked to a lot of guests who were not able to book this tour because it was full. Our next port was Curacao, and we had been here once before but it was about 10 years ago. We took the Panoramic Curacao tour and it was great. Curacao has built a lot of shops in and around the fort, where you dock. We almost did not recognize the place because so many shops and restaurants had been built. We walked thru the fort area and went across the floating bridge. Unfortunately no boats wanted to go into the inland harbor, so we did not get to see the bridge open, but we did several years ago. Our next port was Bonaire, and we had never been there before. It is a small island with not much to do unless you want to go to the beach. The water is really blue and pretty, but since we live in Florida, and have access to great beaches, we do not take beach tours on cruises. We opted to take the Bonaire Highlights tour, and it was not good. Unlike the previous two tours, this was on a very small mini bus that took you over really bumpy roads, and the tour guide shouted all of her talk because she did not have a mike. Unfortunately I was sitting in the front of the little bus, and she was opposite me. I wished I had brought my earplugs because she was so loud. We were really happy to get back to the ship. We do not recommend this tour unless you like small buses and bumpy roads. Entertainment on the ship was fairly good, but there were no big names like Jane Curry or Claire. The show with a group that sings Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons had two shows and they were great. As always, the Celebrity singers and dancers were great. The comedy juggler Pete Matthews was very good; we had seen him before. Michael Paul and Raegar were also very good. We ate at three of the specialty restaurants, Murano, Tuscan Grill, and Quisine since we got the 3 restaurant package. We have eaten at Murano on various ships and always got the Dover Sole, just as we did this time. Previously the waiter cooked and boned the fish at our table; this time he just boned it, and the presentation was not nearly as good, and neither was the Dover Sole. The filet at Tuscan Grill is always good, but sometimes they overcook it. Our best experience was at Quisine—the presentation and the food were excellent, and we will certainly eat there again on our next cruise in March. You can now prepay for the specialty restaurants using on board credit, but we opted not to do that because we did not know what the entertainment schedule was going to be. We like to eat early and go to the early show and you cannot eat in a specialty restaurant and make the 7 pm show. Celebrity has a smartphone app that will let you access what the menus and the entertainment are, and you do not have to have the internet package to get it. We found that the menus were pretty accurate, but the entertainment schedule was not. This is only available on 4 ships currently, but the Reflection is one of them. Hopefully when we go back in March 2019 they will have the bugs worked out. We have been on many cruises on several cruise lines, but Celebrity is our favorite by far, and we look forward to our next 4 cruises that we have already booked. We discovered a few years ago that you generally get better prices and perks if you book while you are on board and have the reservation transferred to your local travel agent. Our agent normally gives us an on board credit that is the same that Celebrity gives us. Read Less

After not cruising earlier this year, we chose the time between USA Thanksgiving and Christmas. We like that time as prices are good and the cruises are not overloaded with small children. The children on this cruse were almost invisible. The visible ones were very well behaved and controlled. As the title states, the internet is really lousy. After pointing out that both crew and passenger internet were on the same channel, a change was made. It did not make a noticeable change in the quality of the connection. The staff members in the I lounge were very cooperative and understandably busy helping passengers who lacked internet skills. I am not one of those passengers. embarkation was flawless. Debarkation not so much. As departure and arrival terminals turned out to be different, those who parked in the garage near the embarkation terminal were a long way from their vehicles. When I first queried Guest Relations I was told there was a shuttle to the other terminal. I had to repeat my query and the representative had to ask about a shuttle to the garage. She got me a map and assured me that there would be a shuttle to the garage. There was and it was clearly marked. Success. Booked this cruise at the same time in 2019. Future cruise staff excellent. Did not like the continual advertising of the new Celebrity Edge. She is beautiful inside, I am sure, but ugly outside, especially the bow. It looks like an icebreaker. Worth mentioning is that cruise terminal parking fo Florida disabled Veterans with any of the three Florida disabled veteran plates is FREE at the port. They do confirm that the disabled veteran is in the vehicle. I was. A new and inexperienced cabin steward was quickly briefed by hotel manager and a supervisor. He went from lost and confused to found and on-the-ball. Fitness and recreation and shore excursions not rated. We almost never use the crowded and overpriced ship shore excursions. Read Less

Service was excellent, and except for the tilapia who which was not to our liking the food was very good. We had a wonderful dining room waiter. We had select dining and most nights arrived between 6:30 and 7:00 and never had to wait for a table. Buffet was plentiful and food good although we never had dinner there. You could always find a table. Entertainment was generally good but could have been a little more varied. Best show was probably the last night at sea. Would definitely sail on Reflection again. Would like to see better embarkation which took over one hour with long lines and while disembarkation started late we were off the ship, through immigrttion and at our hotel in under one hour Read Less

We were on the Reflection for her innaugural transatlantic several years go and just loved the ship and the overall experience. When the ship moved to Port Everglades we were thrilled she was there and booked her for three future cruises. The ship is in great ship and very clean and the staterooms are roomy and the bathrooms and shower dynamite. The staff on this ship are so great - friendly, helpful, happy and just fabulous. I look forward to seeing them all again in January. I was hugged many times, called by my first name from day two and made to feel really special. The food was the best I've had in a very long time and the desserts - oh my oh my - scrumptious doesn't cover it. The buffet for breakfast and lunch were phenomenal and there were so many choices it was hard to know what to narrow it down to. There was something for everyone. Dinner selection was also wonderful and we felt no need for a specialty restaurant visit as everything we were served in the main dining room was super as was the service. Their dinner salads are unlike anything I've eaten on other lines. The specialty acts - especially the singing acts were great and there was always plenty of fun things to do all day long on the ship. Their production numbers sadly not so great. They need to work on this. They didn't push merchandise so you didn't trip over tables of "stuff" which I appreciated. They had a big 50% sale the last sea day and that was held inside the shops. Their internet package prices are pretty pricey but the service really wasn't as slow as I've heard it was. I never had a problem with our free 180 minutes. We met lots of wonderful passengers on the cruise. Of course, there are always some people who have no manners, are simply rude and think they are the only people in the world. That's on every cruise line. Lots of people escaping the cold winters from Europe, Canada and up north and I can't blame them. The weather was lovely and the seas the entire trip were like glass. We had the classic beverage package and prepaid gratuities and lots of shipboard credit so once onboard we had no expenses. Having the beverage package was wonderful and so easy. We never abused it. Disembarking was a bit of a mess but that was t the fault of a celebrity. Customs was short handed and they had things backed up for almost two hours. Short handed doesn't help when a huge percentage of the passengers were no residents. Dumb planning. Overall a perfect cruise and Inlook forward to the next one in Reflection in January with five of my terrific gal pals. They are in for a treat! Read Less
