Fascinosa not quite a Farse-inosa

Review for a Greece Cruise on Costa Fascinosa

We decided to fly to Venice a day before our flight because we had heard that Marco Polo airport is sometimes fogged in and we did not want to miss embarkation of the Costa Fascinosa. The following day we did the usual trips around the canals on the Vaporettos or water taxis before heading to the cruise port with our cases to check in. Embarkation It had been foggy that morning but was clearing ...

We sailed on the Costa Fascinocia Greek Isle Cruise in Nov 2014. The good things: ship very clean and cabin attendant was wonderful and happy all the time! Pizza in the specialty / pay xtra for was really good.. had taste and variety, espresso and cappuchino's good. lots of cold cuts/ meat if you are in to that. Now for the bad.... Very few restaurant choices...Food was absolutely horrible.. ...

I had cabin 7395 on the Costa Fascinosa (Venice to Venice - November, 2014 ) which was nice size, comfortable and had a balcony with two chairs and a small table. There were three closets -- two clothes closets and one with shelves and a safe. The room had twin beds, made up as one king size bed, and there was a sofa that could be made up into another bed for three people in the room. I was by ...

Wonderful Family Cruise!

It was a wondeful family cruise visiting Corfu, Mykonos, Santorini and Dubrovnik. Our kids had the chance to participate in many activities on board and really enjoyed playing and the karaoke. My wife spent a lot of time in the spa and fitness classes and I did a lot of wine tasting. Our parents loved the casino though. The service was very good and the food was great. The cabins were always ...

This was our third cruise with Costa. We have been on the Serena and Favolosa before this cruise and standards have certainly dropped. The Serena was amazing,so we decided to book for the following year on the Favolosa. Before I review the Fascinosa I will just let you know why Venice doesn't like us.We arrived in Venice a day early and stayed in a great hotel next to Piazzale Roma.At 6am we were ...

We have just returned from a great week on the Fascinosa. We booked this holiday at a cruise show in March, quite on impulse. However, once I started to read the reviews on Cruise Critic I was beginning to wonder what I had done. We have cruised before with P&O. Embarkation at Venice was no different to Southampton. We gave in our bags, took a number and waited for the number to be called. We ...

This was the first time my husband and I had taken a cruise. The good points first! We spent a couple of days in Venice which is amazing! The Costa Fascinosa takes your breath away - its size and it's immaculate inside and out. We booked an inside cabin and it was a lot bigger than we expected. Our cabin steward Ivan cleaned the cabin twice daily and was always close by. Nothing was too much ...

We just got off the Costa Fascinosa on August 25th, after spending a great week with a Kosherica tour. The Boat The Fascinosa is a large cruise ship, very new and it shows. There are no signs of wear or tear, and everything is very well taken care of. I think it was designed to evoque the Italian Golden Age, the Dolce Vita. Paintings, rugs, wallpapers, even the marble in the bathrooms, resembles ...

I booked a cruise on the Costa Fascinosa for my wife and I, and our 12 year old son. This was our first cruise as a family. I made the booking late in 2013 for a departure in August 2014. My travel agent in South Africa recommended the cruise especially as it met our requirements in terms of dates, duration and destination. The prices were competitive, and we received a significant discount for ...

Think Twice About this Cruise

My family and I have been on over 20 cruises and consider ourselves experienced cruise veterans. This was the first and last time we will cruise with Costa. First of all, the first and primary language spoken by the staff and cruise director is Italian. This made us feel left out of many activities, even though there weren't many to begin with. The casino was empty most of the time with only two ...
