Only good if you have a balcony

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Costa Favolosa

We enjoyed the most our cabin with balcony. On the beginning it is difficult to orientate, but finally we found everything rather quick. The food is ok in the restaurants, but is a little stressy. You see the personnel running all the time and therefore you are not relaxed by that. The wine is good and price is correct if there is not always 15 % of service at each time. But the ...

Very disappointed with overall cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Costa Favolosa

There was no tea or coffee available after breakfast for the remainder of the day accept on sea days when tea and coffee was available late afternoon. We had to purchase tea or coffee outside those times. When purchasing anything there was a 15% surcharge on top of the cost of the item. There was a 20 euro per person per day gratuity surcharge. No butter for bread freely available ...

Costa Favolosa for Easter

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Favolosa

I had in the past considered an Easter cruise but was always late with the booking so when I saw a good offer on Costa web site, I decided to book. I continue to sail with Costa mainly because tends to have nice offers for solo cruisers and because the nice privileges of being a Costa Club member used to be tempting. Travelled to Savona by Genoa airport this time (my traditional route is via ...

Fabulous on the Favolosa

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Favolosa

Our embarkation was in Guadeloupe which does not give you many options from Canada. But learning that it is a French island flights from Montreal are direct and worth going. Costa did not offer transfers from airport to ship but a taxi ride was 20. Euro and if you can share it's a good deal. I did not explore Guadeloupe as much as I wished, perhaps next time, the taxi ride from the airport ...

Overall: I really enjoyed and I’d do it again!

Overall a very good cruise with tending to excellence for me as a single passenger. Boarding was a bit delayed, because of some officials for boarder control hadn’t been in time, but however I was onboard within 35 minutes from official start of boarding. Costa succeeded to get me onboard within 20 min on an earlier cruise elsewhere, but for me the second fast boarding ever anyway. As I didn’t ...

VERY DECEIVING !

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Costa Favolosa

This was my first experience and will probably be my last due to Costa Favolosa. At first impression, this was a WOW. But the good impression lasted two days only. This ship is very poorly administered and lacks organization. 2,000 people eating at the same time is very hectic. The food was mediocre and not varied at the buffet, same food all week. We were charged for water. I can understand ...

Good but much room for improvement

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Costa Favolosa

My partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a romantic vacation with all the bells and whistles. Cost was not a significant factor in our decision but rather level of service. Our vacation started at an adults only resort in Punta Cana DR (Chic by Royalton - Diamond Club) which was an awesome experience. We chose Costa Favolosa for the second part of our vacation as it departed from DR ...

Just bad service, unhappy employees

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Costa Favolosa

Just came back from my first Costa cruise and comparing with Royal Caribbean, this is definitely way below...Just to summarize: *Bad service overall, worst attitude I've ever seen on a cruise ship. People unhappy, just walking around without a single hello. Had to clean a table many times to sit down, even though employees were close by, they didn't bother. Once, I asked them and they told me ...

This was our 24 th cruise and our second with Costa. The frist being many years ago and it was our second cruise ever. I've never written a review for the other cruises, but I felt compelled to do so this time , wishing to help inform other travelers about my expencience. Hard earned money and vacation time should not be wasted ,the selection of cruising with Costa , well I would advise people ...
