This was the worst Carnival cruise I have been on. The embarkation process was a little long, but I think that is the same for most cruises. Once on board, everything seemed to be perfect. We put our belongings away and headed to the muster station for the safety drill. We then changed into swimsuits and headed to the pool, ready for a cocktail and some R&R. When we ordered our drinks, we were ...
This was a test cruise for Covid-19 cruising.
Masks were definitely worn by everyone, they really check your physical vaccine card, and the Covid test verification for your name to match your passport, vaccine card, and test.
We knew they weren’t going to have priority boarding, but they easily could have, at least for Diamond level, there were only 23 of us and some were already on board. ...
All of the important parts of this cruise were great: embarkation and debarkation were fast and easy, weather was hot and mostly sunny, all the ports were open, the food was nice as always, and the service was excellent. We had an aft balcony cabin (#7465 - worth the small added cost for the extra space) and our steward was attentive and genuinely friendly. The new shows are wonderful, the double ...
We sailed Back-2-Back on the Carnival Breeze from Galveston on 26 Aug to 4 Sept. We had a balcony (12042) on the 12th Deck, a great location close to the pool, Serenity area and Cloud 9 Spa, and the Dive-In movies. The balcony is not covered. Your cabin is serviced only once a day, ice is filled twice a day. The virtual muster drill is very easy, and the ship is beautiful.

This is our opinion, we don't ask anybody to agree with us, and we will not engage in any debate.
From a completely chaotic check in to poor food and bar service, this cruise was a letdown from start to finish. Carnival has a reputation as a "party" cruise line and that reputation is well deserved. If you aren't into drinking and gambling there was nothing to do after dinner. Entertainment?? ...
Background Information:
My wife and I are avid cruisers having been on 40+ cruises. Typically we sail on RCL but have cruised with Carnival several times in the past. Living in Texas, we love to cruise from Galveston as it is easy for us to get to the ship. With all that has been going on in the world, we had not planned to take this cruise. July 29th is my birthday and we had originally ...
We chose this cruise because it fit our window of opportunity. We had never sailed with Carnival so we did not know what to expect. But we were quite impressed with our experiences. I also need to point out that according to the crew the ship was 70% capacity.
Pros:
Embarkation was painless! If everyone arrives at their designated time, it goes quickly and smoothly.
The ship was ...
Booked a mere 6 weeks prior to sail date, which is a very short lead up time for us. We had sailed on the Panorama in February 2020, returning 4 weeks before the shutdown, and had no plans to book anything else until things got back to "normal" (whatever normal is going to be now).
We drove down to Galveston the day before embarkation (we live 20 miles south of Dallas, not far from I-45, so the ...
We booked one of the initial trips out of Galveston being that we were in desperate need of a getaway as was most everyone else. I have to day that Carnival made a good effort.
Embarkation - as might be expected, this was not a highlight. However, there were some unforced errors. The process of screening vaccination cards reminded me of a bad day with Russian customs. In particular, there ...
We are a family of four from Montreal, Canada, who cruise extensively. We have 9 previous cruises with Carnival, 22 overall. This trip was supposed to be husband, wife, and son only, but my daughter’s school trip to Europe was cancelled at the very last minute due to “the virus that shall not be named”, so we had to scramble to book her to travel with us. We got absolutely killed on airfare, but ...
