Enjoyable experience with great ports of call

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

This is our third Celebrity cruise. After travelling conciege class previously we chose verandah this time and noticed little difference. Our cabin was on deck 9 and very quiet. Cabin service was, as before, faultless. We chose Friends of a Dave Tours for our German stopover. Tour group was small and leader was excellent. We used Alla Tours for the remaining excursions. The St Petersburg 2 day ...

Not As Good As Two Years Ago

We are on the ship now. We chose this ship because of previous good experience. We are wondering if they are cutting back on staff. The service in Blu is definitely different this time. They always seem to be understaffed. All of the staff are friendly but constantly on the run. We only have one person assigned to our stateroom now. Two years ago there were two people. We have the premium ...

Silhoutte needs refurbishment

Crew needs an attitude adjustment. Most of them appeared tired and did not want to be bothered. The Main Restaurant service just OK. Most of the time we had to ask for water or bread. The Captain was wonderful. His talks were the best part of the cruise. Ports of call could use a rethinking. You should try to add More stops. Shows from what I heard were not great, we tried one and gave up. ...

We took the repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Amsterdam because on our honeymoon ( over fifty years ago) we visited Amsterdam, Paris, and Brussels. All three of those countries were visited on this cruise with Lisbon added on as the first place we stopped after crossing the Atlantic. Although we have cruised on Silhouette before we had never crossed the Atlantic on it. I had ...

We have taken a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity for the past 4 years on the Celebrity Reflection. We chose the Celebrity Silhouette because of the ports and that it ended in Amsterdam. The ship is beautiful and was very clean. The cruise director was very involved and interacted with the passengers. The lectures could have been more stimulating. However, the speaker on water and whales was ...

I did the Ft. Lauderdale to Amsterdam transatlantic in a concierge cabin 9380 in April of 2017. This was my first solo cruise and it was very good. The cabin was aft and the cabin steward made it very comfortable and went above and beyond what is expected to make me feel well cared for. The crossing was on slightly rocky on one or two days and we had rain for some of the days. This was my third ...

We had done one previous trans-Atlantic crossing on Cunard and two other European cruises with Oceania. We had a great time using Celebrity. Our travel agent found us a fantastic deal, using software that tracks cruise sales which usually occur sometime between January and March. "I just saved you $1600," she emailed us. What a great start to a cruise! there were so many things to do each ...

We like Celebrity and we wanted to visit Europe. The time at sea was never boring and Celebrity does a nice job of providing continual interesting events. The staff were amazing and never exhibited having a bad day. The staff really made the trip a pleasure. The restaurants were different and delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed different foods throughout the trip and gained a few pounds. The ...

We really enjoyed the cruise. Room steward was excellent, food in the main dining room was good each night, entertainment each evening was good to great. In all we were very pleased with this trip. A few of the rooms do need some work on the upholstery but considering the number of people who pass thru the ships, the crew works extra hard to make sure everything is clean and they can't do enough ...
