I start by questioning some rather negative reviews of Celebrity Silhouette which reference guests' demographic, number of children onboard, busyness of ship, over crowding etc. I don't believe this to be different to any other cruise ship (of a comparable class or equivalent 'passengers to space ratio'), having sailed myself on Royal Caribbean, P&O, Princess as well.

Embarkation - Celebrity Silhouette embarkation was on a Saturday. We stayed overnight in a local hotel, very close to the terminal. A word of warning to anyone walking with their cases: the road down to the terminal is not a smooth journey, with broken pavements, rough surfaces and few lowered kerbs. However, once we arrived at the terminal the process could not have been more straightforward. ...
The experience was average. The food is good in the main dining room with good service. But the food in the buffet is average at best ( and for a medium high cruise line this is disappointing ).
The price of the additional packages are excessive. Imagine you are on a 8 day cruise ( 7 days effectively as the last day finished at 6 am ), paying GBP 72 for a classic drink package ( effectively ...
This was our 5th cruise with Celebrity.
The embarkation process was incredibly efficient and our best experience of it yet.
The ship was full (probably because of school half-term holidays - the children were very well behaved and no problem at all) and getting a table in the main cafe was always difficult for breakfast and lunch. The food at lunchtime and breakfast was excellent, although ...
Chose this cruise for the destination and believed Celebrity offered luxury cruises. We found this not to be the case. Ship was overcrowded, struggled to get a seat on several occasions and service was also slow at times. Ocean View Cafe at breakfast and lunch was so busy you could not find a seat, it felt like a factory canteen.
Cuvee dining, food was average, portion sizes small and ...
Hi I have done 10 cruises with other cruise lines but mainly MSC. I had to do this cruise to use up a deposit for a previous cruises cancelled due to COVID. So Celebrity is 5 star well I did not get that feeling at all and the shows by the entertainment crew were not really up to standard. I must add the acrobats and rope work we're good. Food was like any other cruise but the Buffet was ...
Our fourth cruise with Celebrity and on the whole very enjoyable. The ship was kept spotlessly clean as was our or balcony cabin, deck 8 midships. Embarcation was extremely quick from exiting our taxi we were on board in less than 30 minutes. Our first port of call Oslo was lovely, warm sunny weather and a lot of the sights were walkable as we were docked in the centre of the city. The second port ...
This was my 1st time with celebrity. Was expecting my experience to be a cut above the rest. If did not live up to expectations in virtually all departments. I'll start with a positive:- our balcony cabin was a good size, clean and comfortable. Only complaint was from my wife that when underway there was mechanical noise which disturbed her sleep, personally it did not bother me.

We chose this cruise specifically for the itinerary. We wanted a Scandinavian cruise that included both Oslo and Tallinn. Both were highlights. This was the only cruise we could find that included both ports.
Our first time on Celebrity. Previously, we've cruised with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Holland America. A bonus here was that we could transfer our Royal C. Crown and Anchor points ...
We have sailed on Celebrity several times, and this was our third TransAtlantic cruise. We selected this particular ship and sailing for the ports of call. We have wanted to see different parts of the British Isles, and wanted to finish the cruise in the U.K. so we could stay in London for the Coronation.
BOTTOM LINE: If you want to skip to the high-level overview, this was an EXCELLENT cruise. ...
