The staff overall are fantastic, as usual not all can be great. The Martini bar staff were an amazing group. The Mast bar staff of men were by far the worst, so just avoid that bar and have a great vacation. The pools are small but we were rarely in them. Most bars were nice, yet we did not hit them all. Food in main dining area was top shelf, were the main buffet area had lots of good food with some average mixed in. There was definitely plenty to choose from. The indian food in the buffet was great. The entertainment crew put on a great dance routine near the end of the trip, my wife being a former dancer was thrilled and moved to tears. Being our first cruise we did not spend much time in the theatre. The casino was a hit with our group, a number of us came home winners. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the time of year and because we had never been to the ABC islands before or on the Silhouette before either. She’s a beautiful ship with a wonderful crew. Very friendly and gracious. Wonderful experience in the MDR, with very good food and service from Randy and Khorizan. Murano was excellent as always and the Lawnclub Grill was great also. We were disappointed in the service at Tuscan Grill, the waiter was fine but the sommelier was invisible till the end of the night when we were already finished. Our cabin being aft, way aft, was a hike to get to and helped burn some of the extra calories consumed on the cruise ;/ It was kept immaculate by our attendant Damellia, who also greeted us with a friendly greeting and big smile both morning and evening. We didn’t go to the ship run shows at night, but the ones brought on were very good to great! Loved Billy McGuiggan! Would definitely love to go again! Read Less

We had a great cruise from embarkation tto disembarkation. We were in a veranda room on Deck 6 that was close to the iLounge & the elevators on the Starboard side. We are early risers and early to bed people and were able to sleep well without outside noise. Our room attendant was excellent. When we returned to the room each day, it had been made up. Even though we rehung our towels on the racks, he switched them out with new ones. He even provided a few flowers in a bud vase early in the cruise. Our dining room staff was great, although the assistant waiter was not very visible. It seemed thatt the main server did all the work. Even in that case, her service was great. The food in the main dining room was good for every meal. We especially enjoyed the bread each evening. We tried the Lawn Club & Sushi on 5 for lunch. We really enjoyed the sushi, but the Lawn Club Grill was just okay. I doubt that we'd try them again. We had breakfast in the main dining room everyday. We had lunch in the main dining room once and we did not really enjoy it at all. We took advantage of our Elite status & went to the Persian Garden on Sunday while the shp was in port in Grand Cayman. It was very relaxing. If we ever book in a suite, I'll definately take advantage of it more often. Overall, it was a great cruise & I can't wait to go again! Read Less

We are fans of Celebrity and this was our first time on the Silhouette. It is a lovely ship, with a very competent and involved crew. Our room was clean, and well-maintained by our cabin steward Enrico. We were with four other couples, and were seated at a table for 10 in the middle of the gorgeous dining room. We had great waiters: Alfi and Robert. The assistant Maitre D', Olga, was especially attentive to our particular needs, and dietary requirements. She made sure that we had plenty to eat and choices that were varied. She even got the chef to prepare some exclusive foods from recipes that we supplied. The ports of call were mostly ones that we've been to on previous cruises. It would be nice if there was more variety in that department. The entertainment was mostly good and varied. But overall, we complained that the volume of music (some might call it noise) during the shows is terribly excessive. I often walked out of the theatre after a 45 minute musical barrage with my ears hurting. Although we complained to the cruise director about it, it didn't do any good. In fact, it is hard to find a bit of peace and quiet on this ship, anywhere. There is music constantly, and usually at very high volume. But, there is so much to do, from games of trivia, to lectures, and demonstrations, internal tours of the ship, and of course, eating. The cafeteria serves a tremendous variety of food, and it's open almost 18 hours a day. On the subject of food: Since we observe the Jewish dietary rules, we were able to prearrange for kosher meat (not the prepared airline dinners) through our travel agent. And we had dinners that included a choice of chicken, lamb, and turkey. Our Maitre d' was especially cognizant of the details of this, and was most helpful. She would help us choose the next evening's dinner in advance, each night. She even arranged for our group to have a supply of custom-made cheese blintzes every morning in the cafeteria. The entire experience was a very good one. The ship was full to capacity, yet one never felt crowded-out. We stayed on-board for the next cruise, in the same cabin. See the next report. Read Less

This is our annual escape from Winter in upstate New York. Empbarkation was smooth & quick. This was our second cruise in Suites . We are hooked, embarkation, Luminae, Michaels Club, and 20 min disembarkation are all worth the extra $$’s to us. Our first “Suites” experience was on Summit last September. Quite frankly that experience was better than what we experienced on Silhouette. Perhaps the ship size?! The evening “cast “ shows continue to disappoint. The highlight was the tenor and a terrific rock group. The ship was hopping to the music so energetically , I was worried we might capsize (just kidding) We were disappointed with the Taste of San Martin excursion, they completely skipped the scheduled cheese event . Our Dominica tour of the waterfalls and Emerald pool was excellent; a chance to experience the rainforest. The St Nevis tour provided an excellent lunch, one of the best seafood meals on our trip. Overall the cruise gave us the respite from snow & cold, otherwise very much like our past Celebrity Cruises. Read Less

Two weeks away with friends, wanted sunshine and being looked after. Celebrity are top notch when it comes to cruising. If i have one criticism it is with their menus, they never change. There were three Chic nights and the first two were just normal menus, mthe final one the big hitters come out, Lobster, Beef Wellington, Duck ala Orange and aleg of Lamb, you cannot eat them all, why oh why can they not be split across the three formal evenings. Entertainment was excellent, just disappointed that the Tenors of Rock could not be brought on, lol. Dont like Jugglers, Magicians butbitherwise a great rick band, comedian and two vicalists Staff superb Ports of call good, some great some we got straight back on board. Dominica still not fullt recovered from Hurricanes. The ship ran out of Red Stripe and Miller after four days, or so I was told. We choose this cruise because we hadn't been to 2 of the islands. The shore excursions were very good. We also enjoyed the food in the buffet more than many ships. Only went to the main dining room once, the service there was not very good. Also, the cabin stewarts were not the best. We could be gone for 6 hours at time, and the room would still not be done. We had to constantly walk back upstairs to wait. I enjoy playing bingo while on a cruise and they have an antiquated system on that ship. Also the projector was not working properly in the room where it was held, so you couldn't review all the numbers. Also, the activities staff always seemed to be rushing through all the activities. Perhaps not enough staff? One good point is that there was many areas to smoke. Overall, a good cruise. Read Less

As Celebrity Elite Plus, we have experienced a transition in Celebrity cruises from peaceful and relaxing to LOUD at a point that it is difficult to find a quiet place to relax and read a book. Every event has the volume so loud we found it necessary to wear ear plugs. The ship itself was great, the food was superior, the staff very helpful and friendly....our only point of dissatisfaction was the noise level. In the evening in our stateroom and also in walking the passageway to our stateroom, we would constantly hear the boom, boom, boom of heavy bass. If we visited a lounge we found it impossible to carry on a conversation due to the high volume. If this is what we were seeking in a cruise, we would have gone to a competitor who is known for their loud music etc., and we could have done it at a much less expensive fare. Read Less

Have been on the Silhouette only once before, and this was our second cruise. We were a little apprehensive as we were really impressed the first time out. This time out did not fail to deliver. We were impressed again. The ship was clean and well oiled by the Captain and his crew. The cabins were impeccable once again and our attendant Jannis was top notch. She greeted us every time with a smile - morning, noon, and night. Felt like we were part of her family. Dining in Oceanview was over packed at times, but the quality of food - unbelievable. The Grand Cuvee staff made us feel at home. Ramburn was a top notch attendant and had great presence of mind towards our needs only after the first time. Sue had entertainment nailed down to a science, and not without her own wit and charm. All acts were great. All presentations were full of info and knowledge. Really enjoyed the Titanic lectures. This was a 9 night tour around the ABC's and Grand Cayman. The beaches were great and locations really tourists invested. We really enjoyed Curacao for the history, and Bonaire for the Snorkelling adventure with Woodwind Adventures. Dee was great with us as beginners. Would definitely go again. Read Less

First of all, I have taken at least a dozen cruises prior to this one with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, NCL, Azamara and Paul Gaugin. This was easily the least memorable of all. The cabin (concierge class) was very small and had no storage! There were a total of 3 drawers in the whole cabin, each about a foot wide.....that's it! One closet which was a fairly good size but no shelf to store anything. The cabin was so narrow that the mattresses on the beds were rounded off on the corners so you'd have room to walk around....ridiculous! Even the space under the bed was partially taken up with a basket containing the life jackets. Our luggage JUST fit under there, with the bags nested inside each other. We checked in at the pier in Fort Lauderdale and while the check-in was quick, we later found it was not accurate. We were traveling with friends who had a separate cabin, so we checked in spearately. At thecheck in for my cabin, the staff person asked for the credit cards we wanted to link to each account. We gave her separate cards and there was no problem. On the other hand, our friends were not asked about using spearate cards. They inquired about it and were told that all charges for the cabin had to go onto one account, but that it would be subtotaled by passenger and that they would have to work it out between them. Imagine how surprised they were when we later mentioned that we had been asked, unprompted, how we wanted the bill charged. xcept for this issue, both the check in and check out were unbelieveably smooth and quick. Celebrity really has a good handle on moving all those people through with a minimum of wasted time. We ate each night in the main dining room, late seating. Some nights the food was quite good, others we struggled to find something to order. Our waiter did his job, but definitely did not "go the extra mile" to be sure we enjoyed our meals. The evening that lobster tails were served, he returned to ask only the men at our table if they wanted an additional tail.....seriously?? On port days, the dining room was not open for lunch. So the only choices were the buffet or the ourdoor grill. The queue for the grill was usually very long and in the direct sun, as were the tables. The burgers and hot dogs were actually quite good, though. At the buffet, there were lots of choices and the food was what you'd expect. However, after serving yourself you'd walk around and around trying to find a seat. On multiple occasions, I simply gave up altogether! If you were able to find a place to sit, then came the ordeal of catching the eye of a beverage waiter. Good luck with that and when they were eventually flagged down, some were downright rude. The included drink package was the most confusing thing ever! If I had not researched it on Cruise Critic before we sailed, I would not have had any idea what to make of it. No one ever explained the ins and outs of the program, or what was included and what wasn't. Order a drink in one lounge, included. Order the same thing in another venue, extra charge! I enjoyed a wine at lunch in the dining room and requested it at dinner, only to be told there was an up-charge, even though there had been none at lunch. We heard many, many fellow travelers talking about the same issues with this program so it wasn't just our party. Entertainment was sparce, in my opinion. The cruise director had a staff of only 3. I only saw her when she introduced the evening shows. On past cruises on every cruise line, one of our favorite activities was trivia/ name that tune/ etc. While there were 3 trivia sessions offered each day, they were simply not fun. The people running them read the questions and the answers, and that was it! No back-and-forth with the players, no joking around....nothing. Boring. The production shows ran the gamut from quite good to get-me-out-of-here, but that's to be expected. Magician and singers were fine. So, to sum it all up, I believe there are much better ships to sail on than the Silhouette. I will not return to this ship and am questioning whether I'll travel with Celebrity again. Read Less

This was only our 2nd Celebrity experience out of 20 cruises, the most being 7 on Princess. Overall, the differences between the 2 are negligible.. only individual experiences will differ. When we booked, Aqua was only a few hundred dollars more than regular veranda, so we took advantage. With my spouse's food allergies, the Blu dining room seemed the logical choice...not so much. The 1st night a note in room requested we come between 6 and 630 to dine. We had a hard travel day, so I went to the maitre d' and asked if we could come later. "No problem, Susspeople4, you can come anytime, we have open seating. Your allergies are in the system and we will attend to them." We arrived at 7p and were greeted with a 45 minute wait. There was no dairy-free margarine as requested. At the 3rd port, maitre d' personally shopped for it successfullly after 2 failures. Menu in general seemed no different than a main dining room. Also, we like share dining, but Blu is all individual tables with sharing not encouraged...therefore we did not make lasting friends like usual. The Aqua cabins are identical to regular veranda in layout. The shower has body jets in addition to standard head and toiletries seemed slightly upgraded. Aqua's additional selling point is complimentary access to "Relaxation" rooms of Spa. Unless Heated Body Beds, sauna and steam room, private view room turn your fancy...no big deal. Aqua is on the top all cabin deck, just under the pool deck which extends some 20 feet outward, thus putting virtually all verandas in total shade all the time. Large diagonal support beams impede a full panoramic view. Built-in extra tipping seems unwarranted. With eyes closed, we could have been on Princess. Entertainment, ship activities, ship layout and condition, all comparable. It's all about what you are used to and comfortable with. Read Less

On 2/1/19 we did a 9 day cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette. We do a lot of cruising so it is easy to make comparisons. We mostly cruise on Royal Caribbean but since Celebrity is owned by RC and we go on Celebrity as an Elite status so we do several cruises a year on Celebrity. Here are some of my notes that I jotted down while we were on the cruise, not in any specific order. They did not have the Elite club happy hour on first day. Our dining was linked together with friends per email but not actually linked once we got on board. It took a day to get that corrected. On the day we got on the ship we only got one of our two suitcases so I had to go looking for the second suitcase. It was being held on deck two because I had an outlet plug with four additional outlets so they confiscated outlet strip and I could not get until we got off ship. I got it back after I exited immigration's. On Royal Caribbean the Diamond Club is typically open from 5 to 8 PM but on this ship the Elite and Elite plus in the Sky Lounge is only from 5 to 7 PM per night. In Grand Cayman as an Elite you were supposed to have priority to get off but it was no faster as we waited about 25 minutes to get on the tender. On Aruba we took a taxi to Eagle beach, $15, rented two chairs for $20, the beach was ok, a public beach. On the way back we took the public bus, $2.60 per person, back to the bus terminal. We did not know it but the bus terminal is close to the port. Exit the port onto the Main St. and turn right go about 100 feet and there is a Diamond International store on the right and across the street is a Pizza Hut and the bus terminal is behind the Pizza Hut. In Curacao we walked to town. Docked at the newer dock, opened in Nov 2017, and it is a longer walk to town. Stopped and checked out the Renaissance Hotel on way into town. You can get a day pass and use there beach and infinity pool for $20 per person, including two beach chairs an umbrella. Super Bowl night there was nothing in the theater but the super bowl all night. The show, Cosmopolitan, had the great acrobatics but music was not appropriate for a 60 plus audience. Good comedian, Dan Wilson, the first night and also good, funny, adult show the following night. We went to see the production show Peril and did not like it. One of the headliner shows was Ashlie Amber, who did many of Whitney Houston’s songs. Nice voice and did a good job on Whitney’s songs. One night we saw a magician called Jay Mattoili and he was good, mixing magic with some comedy. All of his tricks were small, hand faster than the eye type of tricks. He interacted very well with the audience. We saw the third production show called Life which had singing and acrobatics. It was much better than the two previous production shows. The other comedian was Bill Garan and both his shows were very good. We have seen many comedy shows on cruises and most of the time I do not find them very funny but both of these comedians were really funny. On the last night of the cruise we went to see Savannah Smith in the theater. She sang songs made popular by female artist. She had a nice voice but I was only familiar with about half the songs she sang. Also on the last night on deck 3 they had a 60’s night, playing music from the 60’s after the theater performance at 10:15 PM. It was good. Food in the buffet was better than average and more room in buffet dining room than a lot of ships. Our cruise had very few kids. The average age looked like 60 plus years old. I joked that Celebrity is becoming the new Holland America. We had the non alcoholic drink package and I kept track of the drinks each day. The total for the 9 days was $325 dollars and we paid $423, not exactly a great deal but we had a lot of on board credit so it did not matter. We had coffee etc at the Cafe al Bacio on deck five many times. The pastries there are all free so you should try them, better than most ships. We ate on the outside covered area on deck 14 for lunch several times, nice. The lunch meals in the buffet were better than most buffets as they changed some of the selections each day. On the last two days in the buffet for lunch they had special deserts, one day was a special selection of truffles and on the last day they had a selection of great cakes in addition to the normal deserts. Ships common areas were cold for me. If you get cold easily make sure you take a sweater. Our room was 6224 on deck 6. It was what they called a bump out room, very close to the rear elevators. Most rooms on deck 6 have their view obstructed because of the lifeboats. This room was a veranda room and was fine, very convenient to the elevators and no obstructed views. It had a big safe in it, much bigger than the safes on Royal Caribbean. The shower was bigger than on Royal Caribbean which was good. Not as many draws for storage, only 3, but they had storage over the bed which is better than nothing but inconvenient. My wife and I both had internet service and it was much better than on most ships and price for an Elite status was reasonably priced. They were really pushing the specialty restaurants but we did not do any because we thought they were over priced at $45 or $55 per person for dinner. Getting off the ship went very smooth. We left our room at 8:10 AM, picked up our luggage around 8:30 AM and were at the airport at 9:30 AM. The Ft. Lauderdale airport is only about 4 miles or a 10 minute taxi ride from the port at a cost of $15 to $20. Read Less

We went with a large group and knew from the start that things would not be going well. First, they didn't have enough seating in the dining room for all of us. Second, the food was of such a low grade that we could not cut up the steak, no steak knives...safety reasons! So no more meat that needed to be sliced up. The baked goods appear to be frozen and then heated up...the biscuits were like hockey pucks! We had a guy who ordered the Kosher packaged meals and shared with the rest of us...one of the guys at the table remarked that this was the best meal he had on the whole trip! The entertainment was at fifth grade level...we had seen better performances at school theater! The acrobat couple were amazing! The comedians were fabulous but that was only 2 shows. The staff was wonderful and they did rise above all the miserable food and entertainment. I would go with a different line in the future...this one is done as far as I am concerned! Read Less

We have been on many cruises but this was only on 5th cruise with Celebrity and we had cruised on the Silhouette one other time. We drove to the port and dropped our bags at terminal 25 and then parked at mid port parking garage. Was a bit of a walk back to terminal with carry ons but was a nice day. Terminal 25 is new having been built for Edge class ships. It was very nice and after going through security went to check in which went very fast and they told us we could go right on board. ( It was around 11:30 AM) We went directly to the Aqua Spa cafe and fortunately got a table. Had lunch and enjoyed talking to follow passengers at the tables next to us. Probably one of the healthiest meals we had on the cruise! Around 1 or so we thought the cabins might be ready to so we went to our cabin on deck 11 (Aqua Class cabin) and luggage arrived shortly thereafter so off to pretty good start. This was a 9 day cruise and overall we really enjoyed it! Cabin was relatively quiet and had no issues. Our cabin steward, Bilal, did a good job and was often checking in with us to see if we needed something. We ate all of our dinners in Blu restaurant and enjoyed all of our meals. We were fortunate to have the service team of Michael (waiter), Jai (assistant waiter), and Aneesh (wine steward that we had known from a previous Silhouette cruise). Service was great with good recommendations on food and wine. We would arrive early for dinner and say that we wanted to go to 7 pm show if possible and each night we made it to show around 7 and did not feel rushed in our meals. Aneesh would exchange our glasses so we could do a "takeaway" glass of wine or port to the show. One of us also went to breakfast at Blu on several days and enjoyed food and service. We thought the entertainment was very good except for one show (Pearl). Really enjoyed the two comedians. Now to some issues that are not so positive.......The muster drill was a mess!!!!! We were crowded shoulder to shoulder in Michael's lounge and could not even see or hear the person who was speaking and and the video was childish. Hate to see what might happen in a true emergency given this drill. The deck chair hogs continue to be the worse on Celebrity than any cruise line we have cruised with. No attempt to do anything about it. Once the pool games begin it is hard to have a conversation given the loud volume from the speakers. We left Port Everglades from terminal 25 and returned to terminal 29 which was the first time we had not come back to the same terminal we had left from. We knew Edge would be in port upon our return so we asked Guest Relations, on three separate occasions, which terminal we were coming back to.......at first we were always told terminal 25, and upon further questioning they would say they did not know yet. Finally on the last day of the cruise, after being told this again, I asked a couple more questions, so the person went off for a few minutes, returning to tell us that we were returning to terminal 29. We did an early self assist disembarkation and there was no issue getting a shuttle to the parking garage, which was great since it was too long a distance from terminal 29 to walk. Overall an enjoyable cruise ! Read Less

I chose this cruise because of the date, itinerary and reputation of cruise line. While some aspects were good, my husband and I were very disappointed in some ways. Good: Food and service - friendly helpful staff (except in Guest Services). Disembarkation and retrieving luggage, comfortable bedding, chairs with foot rests on balcony, disembarkation and embarkation in ports, room was clean Wishing for more: Room keys given at Embarkation did not work which meant spending time in long line to have them rekeyed, lack of quality talks/lectures, lack of good music (Jazz in Ensemble Lounge was good but classical duo used synthesizer, as did other single musicians), less emphasis on selling "things" (everything!), probably the hardest most uncomfortable sofa I ever sat on in stateroom, library and selections of reading material, selections of free movies in stateroom (even selections of pay to view were not good), plumbing problems twice on 9 day cruise through no fault of ours (bathroom flooded at one point) An unexpected situation was that when dining in the specialty restaurants, in addition to paying the surcharge, one was expected to pay an additional tip on the surcharge. We enjoyed the ports but probably would not chose to cruise on Celebrity again. Read Less

I chose this cruise because of the ports that were listed. Also, I love Aqua on the Solstice class ships. I enjoyed the entertainment in the smaller venues more than the big production shows. Service was excellent, but I would want the pool staff to enforce moving stuff from chairs reserved for hours at a time with nobody on the lounge chairs. There were days it was hard to find a spot to sit. I loved Blu, and the personalized service in the restaurant is fantastic. I like the balcony, an would do the cruise again. My favorite excursion was in Bonaire - I enjoyed learning about the history of the island, as well as going to the beautiful beach. Curacao's visit to the oldest synagogue in the Western hemisphere was fascinating. All of the beaches visited were beautiful. Coffees at Cafe al Bacio are always one of the great appeals of the trip. So nice to get out of the cold and settle in to another Celebrity cruise. 12 days in the sun, lots of islands to visit, and a wonderful ship all the while. Silhouette is still a great ship and the service on board has not slipped. We ate in Blu each night for dinner where the staff were once again amazing. We did think the food quality has gone down a bit from past cruises, but actually chalked that up to the chef who seemed to blunder at times with some of the standard menu items. Others were as good or better than we have had in the past. Our cabin in Aqua was fine, clean, spacious and centrally located. Quiet too. The ports in the Caribbean are typically the same. We did not go to any of the evening shows, finding the listings cheesy and amateurish enough to avoid. All of the bands performing around the ship were pretty bad too, although the solo guitar player was more than enjoyable. Bars were packed early but no so much late at night. All in all we had a fine time and plan on booking a similar cruise next January. Read Less

Every staff member deserves a mention and should be commended on their great service. The staterooms were spotless and a very good size. The entertainment was fabulous with such a variety to suit everybody's taste. The food was so good and we can honestly say we never had a single thing to eat that was not lovely. We travelled as a couple and would recommend this company and have done to family and friends. The shore excursions that we did do were very well organised informative and we thoroughly enjoyed them. I could not fault any part of the cruise and we look forward to sailing with the company again. Read Less

This is an excellent ship, in excellent condition. The ship's crew are very helpful. Main dining restaurant food was so good that we didn't even want to try the speciality restaurants. The only draw back was that the Sky Lounge was closed everyday about 4.30 at a time when we wanted to stay for a drink as it was such a lovely lounge. We attended one Art auction but unfortunately it was the same old banter from the auctioner using the same old spiel that Park West tells them to use. Not bery many works were sold at the first auction. We avoided all the rest of them. It is time that Park West changed the way they do things. The ports of call were very good and varied and showed the Caribbean off incredibly well. We had an excellent time and were extremely well looked after. We would certainly use this ship again. I chose this cruise because it was going to Grenada. Food was not up to Celebrity standards. The Ocean Café however was outstanding! Service was great. I pre-paid 4 bar activities and only received an invite for 1 which conflicted with the Behind the ship scenes excursion. Several cruisers came down with a viral infection. The lawn club and the upper decks were for rent and I never saw anyone, just wasted space. The pool area could use some actual table and chairs and now all lounge chairs. Could not play cards or scrabble outside by the pool. I think my next cruise will be on Princess. I was in a balcony cabin on Veranda deck #7202 and it was very nice. Our stewardess Janiss was excellent! Over all a decent cruise. Did not go to any shows. Did not go to any specialty dining. The sunset bar was nice but the same peoples to up most of the seats every night leaving tables with no seats. I just hope I can get my money back from the prepaid activities I didn't get to use. This was my first cruise on aboard a Celebrity ship. And I love it. The quality of the instalations, decoration, services and food on Silhouette is excellent. Many islands of this itinerary are very poor so I recommend a celebrity excursion to enjoy the trip. There are good excursion offered aboard. We stayed at a corner aft suite on deck 12. It was fantastic. The suite is very large, comfortable and the varanda looking backwards great. The suite class has services, like Michaels Club and Luminae restaurant that worth the extra money. suite class can also go to Blue, the Acqua Class restaurant. Suite class also provide priority embarkation and debarkation. Everything you need abroad you can use the Michaels Club Concierge. The specialty restaurants are great - worth a visit to all of them. We went to Murano - super elegant, Qsine - amazing Petit Chef show before each course, Porch was delicious - I recommend to go for lunch to enjoy the view. Sushi on Five we loved it and is a very good option for lunch as it stays open longer than the Main Restaurant. The Lawn Club Grill is an experience, specially if you are invited to cook your own food with the chefs. The entertainment is very good also - many options all the time. Read Less

My hysband and I have been cruising eith Celebrity for many years. We always enjoy the overall wxperience. I have mixed feelings about the entertainment quality since Celebrity is apparently unwilling to pay royalties for shows. The production singers and dancers are talented for sure but if the power peoplw would look around at thr audience they might realize that mamy of their guests are not that happy despite the talent of the folks on stage. Not pating royalties could prove short sited if the audience opted either out of the theater or out of Celebrty to a cruise line that cared about ehat their passengers enjoyed The food in the main dining room was pretty good at all times seldom top notch. The wait staff seemed concerned about their ratings as they reminded us daily that they need a “10” and the reminders got annoying Our cabin was very well kept as is usually the case. The public rest rooms are wellonitored as well These folks work extremely hard so that we have clean and tidy rooms. They have never heen less than a “10” in our experience Read Less

We were looking for a total get away to relax and refresh after a very long and tense year. This cruise was exactly the right medicine! Total relaxation, warm, and so much fun. What a great way to unwind...Came home so relaxed and rejuvenated. Already thinking about booking this exact cruise again for 2020 and adding the ABC islands on as well. Great time of year to get away from the cold and be treated to warmth and relaxation after the holidays. Only went on one shore excursion in St. Thomas which was a boat trip to St. John's with a tour. Great excursion. The rest of the cruise we just relaxed. Sadly most of the entertainment was mediocre. Hoping that Celebrity will do an upgrade to the entertainment budget to better entertainment can be offered in the future. However, the live bands were all great, so lots to do. Traveled in Aqua Class so we dined in Blu...always a great treat. Excellent food and staff. The Silhouette is laid out so well and all amenities are easily accessible. It is sadly showing its age but we're encouraged to learn that she will be getting a complete refurbishing early 2020. Can't wait to sail on the new and improved Silhouette! Read Less

My friend and I wanted a quick weekend trip of fun and sun - I am a professor and I had off the Friday and Monday of MLK weekend. I have family in Florida so I got to visit with them as well. We liked the comedian and the massages at the spa - the gym was fine but having no water fountain was not cool). My friend is a vegetarian and she appreciated different choices each day. This cruise was advertised as a 2 day cruise, but we had to disembark at 8 am, and I didn't get on until 1 pm, so it wasn't a full 2 days. Because of this, it was a bit pricey. Next time I will go to an all-inclusive hotel and pick when I get there and when I want to leave. The disembarking was crazy - we asked three different people and got three different answers. Guest Services always had a line. You know how hotels have a book that describes the amenities, etc? Well, with only two days to get familiar with the boat, it would be nice to have a book like that in a cabin. Read Less

This was an unusual itinerary, just two nights. Departure from Port Everglades and a slow overnight to Nassau, then overnight back to Port Everglades the following evening. My friend spotted this one-off type of itinerary and the reasonable price along with it, so we booked it for something to do other than sitting around at home this weekend. The Silhouette is a beautiful ship, I'm sure I didn't see all of it in the short time that we were aboard. We had a Concierge class balcony for our brief cruise, and aside from a bottle of sparkling wine and some hors d'oeuvres on the first night of the cruise I don't think the upcharge for "Concierge" carried with it anything extra. The cabin was perfectly fine for the two of us for two nights and the bathroom was a bit larger than some other standard balcony cabins I've been on, on Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Carnival. Our cabin attendant was excellent and made sure that our cabin was always neat and stocked, and he also quickly handled the few requests we gave to him. Dining was very good in the buffet area for breakfast and lunch, and we opted for some upcharge restaurants for dinner. I honestly found both of them to be overpriced as compared to the specialty restaurants I've experienced on NCL and Holland America. Also, in the case of QSine, I found the food there to be rather disappointing with a very limited menu. Tuscan Grille was much better, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there. We did do room service for breakfast one morning, which was just okay. The menu was not very large. I did get the opportunty to use the gym and I found it very well equipped, clean, and with a great view of the bow of the ship. I did find the duty free and general shopping area a bit disappointing for a ship this size. Prices were nothing special either. The staff onboard was excellent. Everywhere was friendly and nothing seemed forced. This was my first Celebrity experience and although brief, I would definitely try them for a longer voyage. It's hard to rate higher than the 3 stars I applied as this was such a brief cruise. Read Less
