My 5th cruise and second time on Azura for me. On the first cruise on her I found it very difficult to find my way around, but this time I managed to figure it all out very quickly. We had embarkation time of 3. 30 p.m and boarded accordingly... however, once on board it was utter chaos, with passengers trying to get down to muster and newly boarded passengers trying to find their cabins. I had my ...
I had chosen to go on our first cruise (GF is afraid of planes). We chose a week long cruise around the scenic Fjords of Norway on the Azura. Incredible scenes sadly did nothing to alleviate the boredom of this ship.
I did not know what to expect being our first cruise and was pleasant surpised by the service onboard, which I had expected to be lesser than the more expensive rivals like ...
By the time you actually get on board and have done safety briefs it's almost 5pm. The day is almost gone. We were delayed getting back on Sunday because a crew member was taken ill yet we were still off the boat and on our way home by 8.30am. You actually only have one full day and a few hours yet are charged for 2 days. Totally disagree with being billed £48 for tips. It's £6 per person per ...
This was a taster for my wife and I, especially me as not been known to be a good sailor, however the this was an absolute joy, the service and food was excellent and the entertainment was fabulous, the whole trip from start to finish is highly recommended the cabin steward (Roy) B Room B514 was well looked after and nothing was a problem for him. We have decided to go on a longer cruise to the ...
Only our third cruise and the second on Azura.
Embarkation; We left Mansfield early as we had been warned about the Southampton marathon and the resulting delays. We arrived at the Ocean terminal three hours before our allotted time but boarded almost immediately with our luggage in the cabin shortly afterwards. We were both impressed with the ease and efficiency of the whole process.
The ...
It all started so well. Just a short break to celebrate my retirement. The journey from our home in Somerset was one of the best we have ever had as it was Easter Sunday and there were no shops open!
We arrived at Southampton and joined the lengthy queue for CPS parking. After about 30 minutes we were processed and heading for embarkation in the Mayflower terminal. We had been given a ...
We arrived exactly at our check in time and were able to check in immediately. It was an efficient check in with minimal queuing. It seemed many people had arrived earlier than they were advised and had to wait a long time in the hot lounge. Overall a very good experience- we were able to go immediately to our cabins and our luggage arrived soon after.
The cabins are well appointed and ...
We usually travel on Princess cruises but we booked this cruise as friends of ours were already booked on it. The embarkation went very smoothly which is the only good point of this ship. The fridge was stocked with bottled water and a few cans of Coke Cola which they charged £1.50 for the water this having paid £7000 for the suite. On most cruise ships there is a lot of complaining about one ...
We were on board the ship within 30 mins after arriving at mayflower dock. Our cases and car taken and boarded with no problems. We went straight to our cabin and our cases were already inside! Brilliant service.
We had booked 4 cabins next to each other and each was clean and welcoming and our cabin steward Marana kept it that way thoughtout the 14 nights. The cabin was plenty big enough ...
We traveled as a group of 17 for the weekend from Southampton to Bruges to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday, while we had a great time this was rather in spite of the cruise experience than because of it.
At check in we were left to carry our own luggage to the room and also left to find the room ourselves with no directions, which is less straightforward than you might think. The only ...
