A relaxing, good cruise – saw the fjords, ate good food and calm seas!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Azura

Service was excellent, with helpful and courteous staff throughout the ship. This was our second cruise to the Fjords with P&O having been last year on Britannia, but this time were were introducing the In-Laws to the delights of cruising and they wanted to see the Fjords.... Cabin was good – C753 – at the stern, with larger than usual balcony for a Balcony cabin. We took this as it was only ...

Surprisingly good cruise

We needed a last minute cruise and as we booked only 18 days in advance this was the only cruise we could find with a balcony. We had not travelled with P&O before, though had done a few ship visits at Southampton. We had no problem with embarkation-within 40 minutes of arriving at the Terminal we were at our cabin. Our luggage followed within two hours. To be honest, we were a bit ...

Gluten free dining

Had a great week on board the Azura last week to the Norwegian Fjords. I have Coeliac disease so require a gluten free diet. As instructed I'd called prior to the trip to register my special diet. On arrival in the cabin there was a letter waiting for me to confirm that they knew about my requirements and that each evening someone would take my order ready for the next evening. The menus are ...

Always been a bit negative toward the concept of cruising, particularly on larger ships but I really should have done it years ago. Talked to many passengers and crew on the Azura and got the impression it was one of the most loved in the P&O fleet. Embarkation was quick and easy and from there on, it only got better. Dining was amazing, from the many courses fine dining to pool side snacks, the ...

My daughter and I returned from a Norwegian fjords cruise last weekend (19 Aug, 2017), and while Norway is beautiful, and we loved the towns we visited, the same cannot be said for the ship. Embarkation went smoothly, the cabin was okay, nothing special, and the cabin steward was fine, BUT, the food selections weren't what I would have expected- I am dairy intolerant and allergic to shellfish, but ...

Our 5th P&O cruise and it was as expected, Excellent!

We chose P&O, and Azura in particular, because of our previous experiences. We have now sailed on Ventura twice, Brittania once and Azura twice. I am a very, very fussy person when it comes to standards of housekeeping, customer service and quality of food (40+ years of working at a senior level in a service industry made me that way!). The standard on each of the 4 cruises, before, had been ...

Norwegian Fjords - Amazing Scenery, good ship, really poor food!!

We had several interior cabins and these were well maintained and a reasonable size. Our room steward was efficient, welcoming and the rooms were well maintained. the main areas of the ship were pretty well maintained and the facilities where good overall. entertainment was varied and to a good standard keeping 3 generations going through the sea days. Drinks will be perceived as slightly more ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Azura

Mostly a good experience. Great crew, professional and friendly. Food was the only disappointment - like school dinners. A couple of good restaurants available for hefty supplements (dinner at Epicurean attracted an additional charge of £85 for two). Ended up buying dinner here and at the Glasshouse (nice selection, again at extra cost). Only a small selection of wines available on board. The ...

The journey through the Norwegian Fjords was stunning. The itinerary was excellent and the ports were easily accessible - important for my wife who is disabled. All the staff were helpful and friendly and we were very well served by our excellent cabin steward. The accessible cabin was roomy enough for my wife to easily turn her walker and the wet room was both essential and excellent. The balcony ...

Never been to Norway or fjords so really looked forward to it . Great itinerary , highlights Flam and Olden with land train tour . Bergen wet and Stavanger ok ( visit St Switching church , £3 entry) Booked to board at 1330 but due to having to vacate hotel room , we were on board at 1230 and in cabins by 1300 , very quick and efficient , so much better than airports having to sit around for ...
