Really Disappointed

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Allure of the Seas

Chose this cruise for the family and were really disappointed by the big ship! Activities and entertainment was so much better on smaller ships! Quality of food and service was sub par! Have really enjoyed the smaller ships but with young adults we thought the bigger ship would provide more things to do. Really for littler kids and entertainers was so much better on the Serenade of the Sea!!! ...

Big ship, lots to do

We have been wanting to try a mega-ship, and had a great opportunity when went to Miami for a wedding. There was so much to do on the ship, and the crew was great. We have mostly sailed on smaller ships, and we have decided we prefer the smaller ones. Nothing against the Allure, just a personal preference. They do a great job making it seem like smaller than it is. The only times we ...

Food Was Disappointing

This was our third cruise on RCI. It was a rescheduled cruise from May 2018, due to my sister-in-law's illness. We were so excited to take a cruise over a holiday. Embarkation was challenging. A RCI employee directed us to a line to obtain our sea passes that turned out to be for disabled or those needing assistance. The counter clerk was very upset that we were in that line. We originally ...

A bit of a disappointment

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

We had a family wedding to attend on this cruise. The original itinerary was altered after all of the devastating hurricanes we experienced this year. I was very much so looking forward to visiting the original islands and was somewhat upset that there were not as many ports, and the replacement ports were not what I wanted to experience. I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely Labadee Haiti ...

It's a billion dollar wonder

With the recent hurricanes, the itinerary changed quite a bit on this trip. Fortunately, the cruise staff worked extremely hard to make up for the change in the ports. The food was some of the best which we have enjoyed in our 13 Royal cruises. I am not sure if we were assigned our outstanding wait staff because we are now Diamond members, but we like to think so! Mother Nature gave us ...

Wow, it's huge!

I simply wanted to experience the largest ship in the world and the experience was just great. From the moment that we departed the hotel and arrived at the port, it was apparent that this was a class A operation. Cars and buses were in and out with extreme precision considering the amount of passengers boarding. Past the port and sail pass in hand in, the process took an amazingly small amount ...

Large ship with tons to do

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

The ship itself had tons to do and was very nice. I can't say the same for the people cruising on it. I never saw so many rude and nasty people in one place in my life. Maybe it was the large numbers that concentrated more rude people in one place. I was knocked down stairs in cattle stampedes to get seats for a show. I heard more judgmental negative and nasty comments about gay and ...

Huge ship with lots to do

Of course it's huge - Central Park, the Royal Promenade, the Boardwalk, and all the outside activities are truly amazing. Spectacular is too mild a descripiton! The ship is immaculate and there are always staff cleaning, scraping, painting and repairing. The room was a little tight, but the king size bed was very comfortable and the sheets were luxurious. Our cabin 8-266 , port side, aft, was ...

It started poorly from the time before of boarding until the last morning, 1. They dont honor referral credits to all they owe them too 2. one word misleading 3. ports terribly unsafe had knife pulled on me in jamaica. Keep in mind I never signed up for this port but bought excursion for that port once RC changed ports to green grotto and water fall climbing turned out to be locals ...

Terrible kids programming

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

Every kids activity was scheduled during meal times. Family science 12:15. Family movie at noon daily. Meet and greet with famous character 6 or 6:30 pm. Family art 5:15. Teen rock climbing 5:30 pm. Ice skating 6 pm. If you plan on a 5:30 dinner time you will miss out on most kids activities. Our waiter was so slow he was never able to get my kids out early for the my family dining option ...
