Overall a superior experience to that of multiple other cruise lines (P&O Princess Pacific Celebrity). Excellent customer service. Free room service (food). Food generally of excellent quality. Steaks at The Verandah restaurant to die for. Pizza at Lido average. Older crowd. Very few children. Dress code but with casual dining options as well. Formal Gala nights. Bed and pillows are divine. ...

Having completed a 25 day cruise on Cunard Queen Victoria in 2017, the differences between now and then are stark, and that's not in a good way. The Food: 1. Duck is now chicken. 2. Buffet has country of origin theme nights, which means the chicken cooked in a slightly different way, or with a different spice. 3. Desert is a variation on moose, with flavours cycled through the ...

We wanted to celebrate our 30th in style so we chose Cunard. They did not disappoint. Great service , sparkly rooms ,lots of activities, fabulous food and free laundry. We loved our Balcony Room and we enjoyed the televised lectures and entertainment. Staff were great to chat to not robots. Spa was great . Internet - new Starlink was well worth the basic price. FB , emails and some videos ...

My wife and I just did a week long round trip from Barcelona. After our NCL cruise in August it was night and day. were all well organized. Embarkation was the easiest we ever did. From arrival top being in our cabin was 13 minutes. Staff very pleasant. Room was clean and organized. We had service twice a day( a lesson for some other cruise lines). Our attendant was tops and pro active without ...

know we have enough but Cunard is dropping there offer and standards! Cost saving - No chocolates in room on arrival or any nights inc gala night - have they stopped them - No Welcome drinks party from the captain! But was on the Victoria in July and they did the party- so why not now - No Bottle in room Princess grill only half bottle! - Same menus now for last 2 years - Has a chef ...

Cunard Has Really Gone Downhill Now That They’re Owned by Carnival

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

My friend had previously taken several transatlantic cruises with Cunard many years ago and was excited to try their Panama Canal cruise, so I decided to go with her. Cunard positions themselves as a premium cruising line and prices their cruises accordingly, with emphasis on dressing up for dinner, unfortunately the experience doesn’t justify the pricing. It was billed as a regular cruise ...

LA to Ft. Lauderdale via the Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

The itinerary seemed both exciting and romantic. Plus, there was no overseas travel involved for us (from Chicago). We were also looking to sail on the Queen Elizabeth. An unexpected bonus was successfully bidding on a Princess Grills cabin. Everything came together even better than we had hoped. We loved the QE and being in the Grills for 14 days was just amazing. The value is clearly there. The ...

LA to Barcelona

We lived in San Francisco 50 years ago and wanted to combine a nostalgic stay there with a leisurely cruise back to England via the Panama Canal and Atlantic crossing. Oddly we were unable to board in SF and had to fly to LA whilst we met passengers on board who had had to do the reverse! Cunard or Imagine Cruising to blame? Who knows. As regular Celebrity cruisers we were a little anxious ...

Cunard line, terrible

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Our first time on Cunard line, Queen Elizabeth, it will be our last, definitely no where near as good as what I expected. The staff on board, we’re amazing ( but let’s face it they are working for tips) the staff who wore the white uniforms, didn’t even acknowledge you, they would look the other way or chat with the other person they were with so they didn’t have to acknowledge you. The ...
