My sister celebrated her 71st Birthday on the ship - the cabin team helped make her day extremely memorable! We were all "over the moon" surprised! Never been on a Cruise line that went to this extent before!!! Well done Oceania!

My Biggest Travel Disappointment!

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Marina

This cruise was to see islands in French Polynesia and travel to Lima via Easter Island. I had wanted to go to Easter Island since college- fifty plus years. This seemed to be a great way to visit. The ship was to be there two days. It was a beautiful sunny day but windy on arrival. The captain said the sea was too choppy for tenders. We circumnavigated the island with some things being pointed ...

First cruise on Oceania; not sure we will do another.

We were booked on a 3 week cruise of the Tahitian Islands and missed our trip to Peru the year before and since this one ended in Lima, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to do both. Plus, it was less costly than Celebrity's cruise of the Galapagos Islands and Peru. We had a penthouse suite which was beautiful and immaculate, food was excellent and I am a very picky eater. However, I do ...

Oceania disappoints on 8th cruise.

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Marina

I have just completed my eighth voyage with Oceania Cruises. The introduction at the beginning of the Cruise Document package wished me an “unforgettable cruise”. It was an “unforgettable cruise”, for all the wrong reasons. In fact for me it was a disappointment. I opted for this cruise against a variety of others available because it was going to Easter Island. As you must be aware by now ...

First Class Cruise Experience

We chose Oceania because of the itinerary. We have never been to the South Pacific or Easter Island before. With only about 800 passengers aboard, embarkation was swift. We were early so we didn't have access to our cabin but there was plenty of room for our carry on bags while we had lunch in the Terrace Café buffet. All of the food was served to us, no guests handled any of the serving ...

Food and Service the Best

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Marina

Sailed from Papeete, French Polynesia to Lima Peru. Cuisine on ship was unbelievable. Top quality food. No charge for specialty restaurant dining in the four specialty restaurants on board. Main dining room was excellent also. Specialty restaurants require reservations, but the main dining room did not and we never had to wait. For lunch the Dining Room featured different areas of the world ...

Our sailing from Papeete to Lima was our 5th cruise with Oceania but our 1st on a larger O class ship. The ship was beautiful and as usual Oceania met our top three criteria with their wonderful crew, excellent cuisine and a super comfortable bed. We also enjoyed having a greater choice of specialty restaurants and had a fantastic dinner at La Reserve. You have to pay extra for La Reserve, but it ...

My husband and I really enjoyed the Marina because they take such good care of their passengers. I wish we would have arrived in Papeete a day earlier to see that city but didn't want to pay the extra Air Deviation fee. Embarkation in Papeete and disembarkation in Lima, Peru was extremely well organized and went very smoothly. The cabins are quite comfortable and the bathroom is by far the ...

DID NOT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Marina

I chose this cruise lines because I thought they were above average and I was greatly disappointed. I paid a much higher price on this cruise line than others and it WAS NOT worth it. The food was average. The entertainment was not very good. The activities were very minimal unless you like trivia. The casino was the worst I have ever seen on a cruise ship. On the plus side, the crew ...

Oceania, not the same?

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

We had been to the Galápagos and Peru and wanted to go home by ship. We had been on the Nautica the previous year for a back to back that took us away from home for 2 months. My opinion is that even though the Marina is larger, the Nautica took care of passengers wants and needs better. For example, the games in the game room are kept in better condition than those on the Marina. Also, I felt ...

Our friends recommended we take this trip. We did the 10 day trip around the Tahitian Islands aboard the Marina. We upgraded to a Penthouse Room and we did fully enjoy the experience of our own butler and the executive lounge. The Penthouse experience includes daily appetizers delivered to your room between 5-6 p.m. It was a very pleasant way to ease into the evening. We really enjoyed our ...
