We chose the cruise because of the addition of Cuba to the itinerary. The cruise, ship, crew, and service were exceptional. Our focus was on the itinerary, so we were out most of the time. Chose late dining to maximize tour opportunities. Specialty restaurants were exceptional. Happy hour offerings were inviting. Perhaps add more to accommodate both early and late diners. Drink package is ...
Itinerary - Cuba was fantastic!
The service was by far the worst I have ever experienced on any cruise. Too much to say, but a few points can summarize:
1 - when we entered our cabin & began to put our clothes away, the drawers still had the prior passengers' things in them. And their chocolates & a dirty napkin were on the nightstand. What an awful way to start - STILL waiting for some ...
The March 21st Marina sailing was overall very good. ! The cruise overall was as usual with Oceania very enjoyable with lots of great dining! I only have four negative comments.
First and most offensive was the Asst. Cruise Director who was rude and inappropriate in dealing with guests. He has a mistakenly very high opinion of self, but does not belong on Oceania, maybe a Carnival three day ...
We chose this cruise because we had previously cruised on Oceania last July to the Baltic countries and loved the service, food, accommodations, and ports of call. When Oceania announced this cruise out of Miami that included Cuba, we jumped at the chance to " get on board."
We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days with Marina. We had guests with us who had never cruised before so we wanted them to ...
We chose this cruise for a birthday celebration. It was mostly great, but food service at times wasn't. Oceania's Marina was making a stop in Havana, Cuba. We couldn't resist. The ship is beautiful. Our cabin, 9080, was kept clean and neat by the attendant. Never had to ask for ice. It just magically appeared. Embarkation went smoothly but disembarkation took a little longer.
There was an ...
Love Oceania cruises! We were looking for a relaxing low-stress cruise/vacation and picked this one because it fit with our schedule. No idea that we were going to Cuba but super excited that we did! Advice to those going to Cuba--research the Cuban history. We wished that we were more informed on their modern history to understand the context for where they are today. Other stops were good ...
The ship and amenities are gorgeous. The food is certainly on par with the level of excellence that Oceania offers, however, there were 2 items that drove me crazy which will be the deciding factor when booking my next cruise. First: Iron's and ironing boards are not allowed in the staterooms - for security reasons. I'm in my 50's and don't think that I'm at risk of a security breach or any ...
We chose this cruise for a return visit to Havana, having been there in 1980 on a Russian ship which sailed from Tampa. Many improvements to Cuba since then!
Everything went perfectly on the cruise. Food and service were stupendous and weather was terrific! I only wish Oceania did more than one show a night. 9:30 pm is just too late for me!!!
I ate my weight in crab claws, which were on ...
This cruise was chosen because of Cuba. Havana was quite interesting. I was told that the food was supposed to be exceptional. Not true. The hightlight of the cruise, besides Havana, was dining at La Reserve and also the cooking classes and the chef/teacher. The entertainment was below average with exception of Danny Abrams. The best speialty restaurant is the Red Dragon. The food at The Grille ...
We wanted to go to Cuba. This was the first Oceania cruise that stopped in Cuba. The Marina and Riviera are our favorite Oceania ships. The service is always impeccable. We enjoy playing trivia each afternoon and enjoy the Artist's Loft and Culinary Center. The evening entertainment is hit or miss. The shore excursions have not been good, I recommend booking private excursions.
This was our ...
