My sister celebrated her 71st Birthday on the ship - the cabin team helped make her day extremely memorable! We were all "over the moon" surprised! Never been on a Cruise line that went to this extent before!!! Well done Oceania!

High Hopes, Low Reality

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Marina

We have been to London many times, but have not been around the British Isles very much. We read the reviews and looked at the brochures and felt we would have great time. The first issue was the WiFi, speed less than 1Mbps and often down, despite the recent "upgrades" A lot of people on the ship complained, but all we were give was excuses. The food was very good and decor nicely decorated. ...

Cruise was fine (our fifth) but transport from LHR to Southampton was poor.

Book your own transport. It took well over an hour AFTER we had gotten thru customs and immigration control before the bus arrived. Then the bus stopped at two other Terminals in Heathrow to pick up passengers. At $130 per person one-way, you can arrange a private van or limo that would be more comfortable, less expensive and reliable. Believe Oceania may want to seek another transport ...

Very nice cruise, but not sure it was worth the extra cost.

My wife and I are veteran cruisers, but this was our first cruise with Oceania. The ship was, at first glance, a bit underwhelming, especially as compared to the larger, and glitzier mass market megaships. But we quickly discovered that the Marina has a certain elegance that is not found on larger ships. And we appreciated this more with each passing day. We arrived at Southampton around 1 ...

Norway fjords

This was our first cruise on Oceania and we are officially spoiled. Marina is a beautiful ship and the service and cuisine were excellent. We were impressed with the spacious public areas as well. Even on sea days there was always a place to sit with friends. The staff were courteous and pleasant at all times and our cabin was always immaculate. We dined at all four specialty restaurants and ...

Corporate changes having negative impact on Oceania cruises

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

We have cruised with Oceania several times over the past several years and it is apparent that Oceania is in decline as an organization. We just competed two cruises on the Marina (Norway and British Isles), and though there are lots of good staff on the Marina, there seem to be corporate decisions that are having a strongly negative impact on the service we received lately. First, there were ...

Cuisine and entertainment

Cuisine: Exceptional -- particularly in the grand dining room. Used a mix of Canyon ranch and regular choices to keep the calorie count down, but the selection of pastry did me in. Having said that, gained only two pounds. Not bad! Speciality restaurants as expected but Red Ginger was truly over the top for me. Entertainment: Those playing violin, flute and piano were virtuoso quality. ...

Back-to-Back Cruise Segments...Wonderful on the Marina

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

My wife and I enjoyed back-to-back segments on the Marina. The first was in the Baltic; the second was primarily the fjords of Norway. Sometimes I just do not know if we were on the same cruise ship as others who found it less than an ideal cruise. We had plenty of hot water. The food was excellent in all the specialty restaurants. If not in a specialty restaurant, we either dined in our ...

Highly disappointed

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Marina

My husband and I have been on many cruises, but decided to try Oceania for the first time. We just returned from the Baltic cruise onboard the Marina. For the positives, the ship is very pretty, nice size and the food is good...I wouldn't say fabulous. Several of the meals in the "specialty dining" couldn't even prepare a steak to medium rare. It was either to done, or still bleeding. The ...

We picked this ship mostly for the ports of call. The passengers were older then we expected( we are mid 50's) however we met some great new friends and really enjoyed their company. The Ship was great and food and service better then expected. all the posts were better then expected as we thought Russia would be the highlight but really they were all special. We would recommend this trip for any ...

BALTIC CRUISE - BEAUTIFUL SHIP, MIXED SERVICE

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

We sailed Oceania Marina for 10 days from Copenhagen to Stockholm, doing the Baltic. Our ports included Warnemunde, Klaipeda, Riga, Helsinki, 3 days in St. Petersburg, Tallinn and one sea day. We have sailed the smaller Oceania ships before, but this was the first time on Marina. We booked a Concierge level balcony and a cruise-only package as we like to do our own excursion planning. ...
