Amazing ship

I chose this trip due to the itinerary and the dates. Embarkation was a breeze, I was scheduled to arrive around 12:30, but we arrive around 11 and we breezed right thru the embarkation procedure; the woman that checked us in was amazing and very engaging! our room was not ready since we were early, but the cleaning crew allowed us to bring our luggage into the room and change; we left the ...

We were with a very large group (65 people!) and chose this cruise because our Travel agent got us an amazing deal. I talked my family into all going. It was my husband and I's first big trip as we went very close to home on our honeymoon. My parents had taken my little sister and I out of the country to the Bahamas when we were about 15 and 13 but our significant others had never seen the ocean ...

I am a huge Carnival supporter. I think you get your money’s worth on Carnival and they usually treat their returning clients (platinum) like royalty. This was not the case for the Carnival Magic. We boarded the ship on 2/10 in 11 minutes, yes 11 minutes. VERY organized line for their platinum and diamond guests. Our room should have been ready early but it wasn’t; probably should have ...

Carnival Magic Feb 10-17 departing Port Canaveral (room 8392) Within 20 minutes of being on the Carnival Magic my husband and I wished we could get off the ship and this persisted for most of the week despite the amazing staff that we had the pleasure of encountering. This was our first cruise and will unfortunately will likely be our last. I would also like to preface this by saying this is ...

This was me and my husbands first cruise. We decided to take a cruise because one of his co-workers retired and wanted to take a cruise to celebrate with family and friends. We were suppose to pull in to Amber Cove, Dominican Republic on Monday, but we did not as we were told the weather was to bad for the ship to pull in (I do not believe this). In my opinion, we did not pull in because the ...

We go often with a group of friends (18) yearly. Two os us travel on other lines when it’s just the to of us. We know what to expect from Carnival but can’t begin to describe our complete disappointment. On arrival the ship was very dirty, even the deck bathrooms. Our steward and the Master of Ceremonies were a nice breath of fresh air. The food was fair at best. (meat in lasagna was not ...

We choice this cruise for price and ports. There was plenty to do and enjoy. The shows were all very good. The food was what I expected on Lido and we enjoyed it, The food in MDR was not always enjoyable. Our room steward Anna and her helper Ida were great. Anna would ask each day if we had any needs. We took an excursion in Belize to the Mayan Ruins and I think I would have preferred to ...

Chose this cruise specifically because the excursions included trips to Mayan ruins. My wife has had a special interest in the Mayan culture so we picked this cruise for her birthday to go see the Mayan sights. When we walked onbaord, which was a very smooth process, I connected to the Carnival Hub App. I immediately noticed 1 of my excursions didn't show up. I went to guest services to see if ...

I was very disappointed that while we had a big list of guests signed up for the Cruise Critic Meet/Mingle, I never got an invite to the party and I was the one who pushed everyone on the roll call to sign up for the event. So I do not even know what date or location the meeting was held. That was very disappointing. Love the Magic. Been on it several times and will be on it again in June. ...

First time opinion of Carnival

We chose this cruise because we had a group of 16 cruising together, and some had a great experience with Carnival in the past. I’ve cruised with NCL and Holland America previously, on ships with around 2,000 passengers. Cruising with 4,000 passengers on Carnival was a completely different experience. DEPARTURE CITY: We flew into Orlando on Friday night, stayed overnight, and took a shuttle ...
