Cruise to the Western Caribbean the first week of September 2013. Dream is a big ship but sorely lacking in some important areas. For the most part, the food in the dining rooms was good, not great but OK for a cruise. On the Dream there is no place to get a quick snack in the late afternoon. The only option is to go to the Gathering buffet and they do not have any chips, salsa, nacho's or ...
We drove to the pier, about a 2 hour drive. In the priority area by 10:30 and on ship by 11am. Went straight to our room, dropped off luggage and decorate our door. Went to lido deck for lunch and photo taking.. The dream is large, but the food area is congested. Noticed all the choices, but decided to wait it out. Nice serenity area, 2 pools, jumbotron tv.
Cruise director is James. He's okay, ...
My husband and I just returned from sailing on the Carnival Dream - our 4th Carnival cruise. Big beautiful ship! As usual; service in cabins and dining was amazing. We appreciate so much of what Carnival cruising offers. Loved the Brunch served in dining rooms on sea days; pizza on lido deck was worth going back for again and again! Anybody speaking negatively about the pizza doesn't know what ...
Recently sailed for the first time on the Dream. There was 4 adults together in a Deluxe Ocean View. This was the best room we ever had. We have cruised before with Carnival and always had an interior room. This room had so much room with the extra shower and sink. I don't know if we can go back to an interior now.
The food was great and always hot. Services was great. We only ate once in the ...
We have cruised many cruise lines. This was our third on Carnival.
The passengers ranged from young families to World War II veterans. A very good mix of ages.Embarkation was a breeze. Arrived at 10:45 am. Parking was easy, security very fast. On board by 11:5 am. Went to our cabin which was still being cleaned but we dropped off our carry on bags and made our way to Lido for lunch. We decided on ...
My husband and I sailed on the Carnival Dream September 7 to 14, 2013. A celebration for my husband's birthday. The Carnival Personal Vacation Planner Carlos was great to work with. We booked in May 2013, worked through a few quirks with the pricing and opted for the Faster to the Fun option for this cruise - our first time trying this option.
September 7th arrives, excitedly we depart from our ...
My wife and I took the Carnival Dream Eastern Caribbean Cruise from 7-14 September. Overall we had a good time but there were ups and down during the week.
Embarkation went very smoothly. It only took about 20-30 minutes from check-in to on-board. During lunch on the first day at the buffet, we ran into the theme of the cruise, many many people and lines. We had a hard time finding a place to sit ...
Wife & I have been loyal Carnival crusiers for more than 15 years. We have never experienced such a poor level of service from Carnival. Food was cold most of the time. Ship was crowded and finding quiet space was a chore.
We did not even meet our room stewart, Nova until the 2nd day of sailing. On our 4th night, they actually forgot to turn down our room. As this was our 32nd anniversary, we ...
I've been on many cruises, this was the worse. We arrived at our room 8493 on Saturday and immediately noticed a strong smell of sewer gas in the adjacent hall and our room, we waited until Tuesday to call the service desk thinking it would go away, nothing was done. after numerous complaints and a few staff members coming into our room confirming the odor all that was done was spraying some kind ...
Fifth cruise for us and first cruise for our son and his girlfriend. We drove down to Cocoa Beach on Friday and stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites. Nice place to stay. We ate at Fishlips down next to the port on Friday night. Parked at the hotel and rode shuttle to port Saturday morning. It was our 5th cruise but first time doing 'Faster To The Fun'. Priority boarding with the Platinum guest. We got ...
