Had a great time the service was great the ship was very clean the ship was full. Loved the excursions, had a wonderful time on each one, however the last four days on board we noticed a lot of people sneezing and coughing really thought nothing of it, until we started sneezing and coughing when we got home and self tested we discovered we had COVID we are fully vaccinated so our symptoms are not ...

This was as described. Mostly Americans from the south on board. Very casual. Despite dining room dress code, people in shorts, bathing suits, and baseball hats. Lots of drinking and people complaining about being cut off after 15 drinks per day. People standing in the pools all day drinking. Hardly a mask in sight except the staff. I was not one of the smart few wearing one and I brought ...

My Carnival Dream Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Do not get me wrong, I ENJOYED my 6 day cruise on the Carnival Dream. However, Carnival does compete with "land side" vacations that I perfer to enjoy simply on 1 ISSUE. I want choices ALL DAY LONG on where to eat. At dinner time, If I want Guys Pig and Anchor.....I want Guys Pig and Anchor and if I want a sit down lunch in the main dining hall....thats what I want and can get "Land ...

Understaffed!!!

This was one of our worst cruises, of our 26 cruises on Carnival. Embarkation was a Zoo! As Platinum, we were in group “A01” for boarding (first after Diamond and Suites). However, the staff called A01, followed by the next FIVE groups within a minute. This caused a mad rush for the entry stations. When we got onboard, we went directly to our Muster Station, as request by staff. However, no ...

Last minute cruise

We typically cruise on Princess (10 times) and Royal (4 times) but saw a very cheap last minute cruise so we drove to Galveston to check out Carnival since it has been over 10 years since we tried Carnival. For sure the best thing about this cruise were the food options. I tried all the free options. The Buffet is NOT the main feature on this ship and lunch has more options than dinner. -Pasta ...

We decided to take a cruise for our Honeymoon and I am so glad we did. This was my 1st cruise and my husbands 2nd cruise. We had a great time dressing up for formal dining and the 80's rock & glow party. We went to see 3 of the 4 comedians on board and only laughed at one of them. One was so bad that us and several others walked out after about 10 minutes. Most of the food was good, but the buffet ...

Covid Protocols did not hurt cruising!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

I've had so many cruises cancelled since 2020...I really wanted to be on a ship for Halloween so this one got me. We had a balcony cabin (8447). Note that this one connects to another cabin; I think that's why I could hear my neighbor's television (ugh). I know this ship did not sail full; too many deck chairs available on sea days and too many empty tables in the dining room. I heard ...

We chose this cruise due to timing and price. The cruise was really nice except for the rain (which I can't blame on Carnival) and we were always able to find seating for shows and a chaise by the pool, probably because it was 60% full! Our biggest surprise was the entertainment in the Scarlet Dining Room. Besides the waiters singing for us, on both Elegant Nights we were treated to performances ...

Tale of two cruises, most was fantastically wonderful, some was fantastically disappointing.

This cruise was an anniversary gift from my wife, our fourth cruise together, all aboard Carnival Cruise Lines, and all leaving from Galveston, Texas. She chose this cruise because neither of us had ever been to Key West or the Bahamas so the destinations were high on our priority list. They cancelled the Key West stop a few weeks before we left. I know it wasn't Carnival's fault, but it wasn't ...

SOME PEOPLE JUST HAVE TO COMPLAIN...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Went on this ship out of New Orleans.........FANTASTIC time. I always feel bad for the people on this and other "review" boards that just HAVE to find something to complain about. I've been on 10 Carnival cruises and enjoyed every one of 'em. I've been blessed to have been able to go on many, many vacations, from Italy for a week to Disney to a weekend at the beach, and OF COURSE I could find ...
