We were on the Dream for the Mardi Gras cruise. It was also our first cruise. Overall, I would have to say that we enjoyed the cruise. Embarkation went very smoothly (no FTTF) , we had the 11:00-12:00 boarding time and I was in my lounge chair with drink in hand by Noon. The ship was in great shape. Our cabin stewardess was awesome. Next the food: The buffett was pretty good (especially for ...
The food on the lunch buffet was very limited mostly pasta and chicken & pan fried fish. The fried chicken was awful...... Past cruses were great i have been on over 30 cruses ., this was one of the worst (food wise) and experimenter all they want you to do is go into the casino and buy the ever priced drinks and stay drunk! the entertainment was a joke. The past cruses they had live shows ...
This was our ninth cruise, and it was the best one yet. Carnival never disappoints, and their service is second to none. Everyone is always happy, friendly, and ready to have a good time. I will be loyal to Carnival for life, and the reasons are more than I can list.
Excursions:
We did the Catamaran Sail and Snorkel in Jamaica, and it was breathtaking. The men working the ship were as ...
The balcony staterooms were nice I have nothing against that. However they had only one stage show with costumes, singing, and dancing the whole cruise. The food was awful except for the dining room. The desserts were the worst. They were beautiful, but once in your mouth they were disgusting. You could feel their texture, but they didn't have a taste. Everything at the dining room was delicious. ...
Overall, we had a wonderful trip!
That said, here is the good and the bad...
It was Mardi Gras in New Orleans, but we had no problem quickly and easily getting to the port by simply planning to leave the hotel (near the airport) early. There are plenty of things nearby to occupy anyone needing to waste a little time. Embarkation went smoothly and quickly.
Our cabin, despite being ...
This cruise is convenient for me because the Port of New Orleans is only a few hours from my home. The Dream was fun last year, but this year it was a totally different experience because of our cruise director, Chris, the Flying Scotsman, DJ Verso, and the Fun Team. They were so much fun and constantly had crazy, fun activities going on. My friends and I went to a nice, sophisticated cooking ...
About us:
This was my 9th cruise. Myself, my husband, and our 2 year old. My parents and my cousin went. We celebrated my birthday and hers aboard the ship.
The Good:
Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly for the most part. My husband accidentally left his wedding band in our safe and the room steward found it and turned it in. This happened while we were disembarking. ...
Choose this cruise so that my wife and I could spend a week with her sister and brother in law. This was the time that he could take vacation. Embarkation was a mess with no one knowing what was going on. The same with getting off the ship. Bussing of tables in the buffet was also very spotty. Waiters would walk by and leave a dirty table. Did not see the number of officers that usually walk ...
I had fun but not a great saiing experience this time as compared to prior cruises with Carnival. I thought the food was just okay. I did love the desserts they were awesome. The new dining area Pig and Anchor and Guy's burgers ....delicious. My dining room staff was not as interactive until the last night and then it seemed like it was more for the tip. I loved our crusie director the Flying ...
Went on this cruise for my wife's birthday, our anniversary and my birthday. We loved our balcony cabin on the back corner of the ship. The cruise director Chris the flying Scotsman was outstanding. Only question was why the food places were closed so early, pizza and sandwiches only thing you could get after about 9:00 pm. BBQ place was open from 12-2:30 on sea days only. We did enjoy the ...
