I didn't choose this cruise. Neighborhood wanted to take a cruise together, so we went along. Pools too small, Hot tubs not hot or not working at all. Food good, but definitely average. Very crowded. Wait most all the time for elevators. Work out room huge, well supplied and not busy at all. Best part of the at sea days. Not enough lounge chairs for the at sea days, especially NOT in the sun. ...

So I'll keep this short and sweet. Overall a good cruise. Lots of positives. Cagney's was outstanding; Teppenyaki was good; O'Shehhans was a great option for meals. Had perfect weather the whole trip which always makes even better. Embarkation and disembarkation were both really quick and painless. It was NCL 's first big ship but not as good as Getaway or Escape. You would think the food choice would be the same but not on the Epic. The buffet just repeats the same poor choice many times instead of different choice. We wanted to cruise a large ship with poets of call we could explore. The epic is a large ship and we were pleasantly surprised that we did not experience some of the issues we read about in reviews prior to our trip!! My husband and I did not find a problem with waiting for an elevator, other then when we were docked and everyone wanted to get off the ship at the same time...no big deal!! ...

We choose this cruise because we had friends that I taken it and loved it. Of course, they stayed in the Haven and we did not. First, you should know this is a LARGE ship....if you do not like crowds, you should look elsewhere. We choose 2 adjoining rooms hoping to miss college spring break and also Easter Break.
