Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

I didn't choose this cruise. Neighborhood wanted to take a cruise together, so we went along. Pools too small, Hot tubs not hot or not working at all. Food good, but definitely average. Very crowded. Wait most all the time for elevators. Work out room huge, well supplied and not busy at all. Best part of the at sea days. Not enough lounge chairs for the at sea days, especially NOT in the sun. ...

So I'll keep this short and sweet. Overall a good cruise. Lots of positives. Cagney's was outstanding; Teppenyaki was good; O'Shehhans was a great option for meals. Had perfect weather the whole trip which always makes even better. Embarkation and disembarkation were both really quick and painless. Had an awesome excursion in Jamaica climbing Dunn's river falls and then going on an off road tour. ...

The cruise was not bad - but it wasn't exceptional. I will start with the strengths: the entertainment options and quality were terrific, the choices and organization of dining meant no lines and lots of options, the non-smoking portion of the casino was great, there seemed to be more elevators and so there were few lines and waiting, the staff was very friendly. Now...the weaknesses: the ...

This was the first time we were ever on a cruise and I had my reservations about certain things. Once we were there I realized there was nothing for me to worry about. I have vertigo and was only doing this for everyone else lol. ( i got sick the first night... and that was it ) My children ( 10&15) both enjoyed everything that was available to them. The pools, water slides, activities and ...

Not the Super Ship Epic

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

It was NCL 's first big ship but not as good as Getaway or Escape. You would think the food choice would be the same but not on the Epic. The buffet just repeats the same poor choice many times instead of different choice. The upper decks have no way to walk around the ship like the sister ships and the pool area has too much wasted space instead of chair space or area to view whats going on on ...

Was recently widowed and wanted to get away from things for awhile to contemplate my future. Met two lovely people and we became fast friends and did things together. Although I had planned to be alone and just cruise by myself, it was a blessing to find these two and we had a lot of laughs and good times. We are from three different countries but we couldn't have gotten along better; USA, ...

Overall, the ship and staff were excellent, with just a few minor hiccups. We had a gentleman name Emmanuel looked after our room was one of the best members of the staff on the ship. The buffet was excellent. The variety of food was excellent. The ship was very smooth. You wouldn't even know you are on the sea loved my cabin and balcony did not enjoy the Bed little rough for my liking. At a small ...

We wanted to cruise a large ship with poets of call we could explore. The epic is a large ship and we were pleasantly surprised that we did not experience some of the issues we read about in reviews prior to our trip!! My husband and I did not find a problem with waiting for an elevator, other then when we were docked and everyone wanted to get off the ship at the same time...no big deal!! ...

We choose this cruise because we had friends that I taken it and loved it. Of course, they stayed in the Haven and we did not. First, you should know this is a LARGE ship....if you do not like crowds, you should look elsewhere. We choose 2 adjoining rooms hoping to miss college spring break and also Easter Break. Cabins were nice. Now the bathroom situation is a little different. Showers ...
