European River Cruise

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on River Queen

Overall experience was excellent from the moment we were met at the airport to the moment we disembarked by an arranged taxi. The ship by nature of its looks and style had character without being too ostentatious. Whilst on the cruise we didn't see any others with a funnel nor the same overall colour! The cabin despite being on the lowest deck was excellent(there are advantages to being next ...

My RACQ travel agent recommended this cruise. It was fantastic advice! The cruise was pure luxury all the way. Staterooms, staff, service and shore excursions all exceeded my expectations. Before this, I had only done ocean cruises - with mixed reactions. This cruise enabled me to relax, unwind and enjoy the passing scenery. The choice of shore excursions was extensive. I was particularly ...

I find it difficult to fault this cruise. On all levels the score would be nearly maximum. Staff, food, entertainment, excursions, organisation, flexibility were all excellent. When you take into account that nearly everything is pre-paid, you could literally leave your wallet at home and it compares favourably with some other cruises that appear cheaper untill you add on the the costs that are ...

We decided to take this cruise as we were interested in seeing the tulips in flower, learn more of the water management in The Netherlands, had experienced excellent tour management by Uniworld several times already and because friends we had met on a previous cruise suggested we join them. Expectations were met in all categories. We had visited Amsterdam briefly after a previous Uniworld ...

Choose Uniworld to go along with friends. What a great surprise; our expectations were far exceeded. Even after having lived in Germany for 3 years in the early 90s, it was great. Can't believe all the neat places we toured that we had not heard of while living there. It was very different seeing from along the rivers and very different from ocean cruising. We plan to take more river cruises ...

Cruise to Remember and One You Should Plan to Take

On the first day we were pampered from the dock to the ship by three very attentive crew members. Our room was clean and neat every day. Room supplies were replenished everyday x2. The excursions as we traveled were well planned and well guided by local residents. Each guide had a passion for the excursion and were very well informed about the history of the area and what was happening now. ...

We actually booked our first river cruise through Costco and trusted their judgement. It far exceeded our expectations! The food was truly wonderful as was the impeccable service....friendly and extremely helpful. The ship only had 94 passengers and we became friendly with most of them by the end of the 12 night cruise. Each day we had at least one tour and we were always greeted ...

This is our third cruise with Uniworld and the second time on the River Queen. This boat is elegant and reminds us of the good old sailing days past. The entire Staff is very knowledgeable about the cities we stopped at as well as the local food and wines that had been served during out stay on board. It was a home coming for us to meet old friends and make new ones among staff and guests. We ...

Sailing north to south on the Rhine with a side trip up the Moselle, starting in Amsterdam and ending in Basel, the trip was first class all the way. Accommodations were excellent, food was fantastic and the on shore tours were all top-notch. Very accommodating staff that catered to your every whim. Great lounge and over the top entertainment nearly every night. We would recommend to anyone ...
