I have FCC left over from Covid cancelations so it is a use it or loose it deal. I wanted to try Galveston port which I understand Princess has recently returned to. Last time here was 2007 for me. So I booked everything rom airfare to hotel, transfers, cruise, Princess plus package, no insurance. Flew from Chicago Saturday, day before. Went to luggage, man with a Princess sign waiting for me also ...

Cruise was great billing a nightmare - so bad I will not cruise with them again

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Ruby Princess

Overall the cruise and destinations were lovely but the onboard billing and support after the fact were so bad that I will no longer cruise with them. Just took my last cruise with Princess - they charged me for a bottle of wine we never got, made FIVE attempts to get it taken off the bill while onboard and have emailed and called. It has been 6 weeks since I filed complaint with them with no ...

Quiet and Relaxing Winter Break

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Ruby Princess

We've previously cruised on HAL, NCL and Costa with Princess being our 12th cruise each. We chose this Ruby Princess cruise specifically because it departed from the Port of Galveston and visited ports we visited years ago and were curious how they'd changed. Booking I booked online directly about 90 days before cruise on Princess site, no agent. It was my first Princess Cruise, my husband’s ...

We had a great time. Almost everything was exceptional: the food, the service, the entertainment, the ships facilities. This was the first cruise that we splurged on a room with a balcony -- and it was fabulous. We lett the doors open at night and enjoyed the sounds of the waves. The balcony certainly helped make the room feel larger! We had exceptional service in the dining room and ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Ruby Princess

It's nice to be a virgin at 69, and this Caribbean cruise did it for me. It met my criteria beautifully:1) few children, 2) almost no lines, 3) 24/7 really fast room service, and 4) leisurely linen service dining with dishes I had no intention of preparing ever. As an added bonus, boarding from Galveston with the Medallion meant less than 15 minutes from being dropped off to sitting comfortably ...

Great Cruise

We were two adults in our 50s with our two adult children in their 20s. We had two interior cabins on different decks. Really nice trip. Embarkation was smooth. Get your medallion ahead of time; it saves you a lot of time at check in. The ship is classy and clean. The rooms are standard cruise cabins and have all you need. All Princess employees were pleasant and willing to help with any ...

Disappointing and uninspired...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Ruby Princess

We did the Western Caribbean out of Galveston on December 18 on the Ruby Princess, and after something in excess of two-and-one-half decades cruising, mostly on Princess but other lines as well, this was, by far, the least inspiring and most disappointing cruise we have ever done. As always on a Princess cruise, the front-line folks - our Cabin Steward, Waiters and Assistant Waiters, the ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

Took Alaskan Cruise in July 2022 on Ruby, had the worst experience. Embarkation was nightmare, had to wait for about 3 hours to board. With COVID epidemic in full swing, this was a traveler's nightmare. Firstly, peak summer, long lines and fellow passengers in close proximity. Took even more than an hour to get to the boat deck from Port. Due to this frustrating experience, promised never to use ...

The Motel 6 of Cruise Lines

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

Easily the worse cruise we've had with Princess. The many cutbacks by Princess made for a less enjoyable cruising experience. For example, enrichment presentations and guest speakers were completely devoid. It took 3 days to get the AC in our cabin repaired. Guest services was unresponsive and argumentative. Throughout the cruise, the sink drain leaked on the bathroom floor. The motion ...

First of all my cabin heating system was Broken so they moved us to a new room then the jeweler on cruise ship got my ring stock on my finger so I hade to go to the doctor onboard to see if he could remove it tried several things and could not so they cut it off and do not forget about the horrible food that they just added to and reserved over and over again and the entertainment needs to be ...
