AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

Jade - Relaxed and easly going

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We have been on most of the major cruise lines . Celebrity is our favorite with Norwegian a close 2nd . Celebrity is a little more upscale where Norwegian is more relaxed but still a solid cruise . Norwegian takes a chance with its design . The Jades main dining room is a knockout . Wood panel walls and artful lighting . Gauguin like paintings fill the dining room . You feel your eating in ...

First of all a transatlantic cruise is the way to go if you love cruising! The Jade was recently refurbished and it is lovely. The entertainment on the ship, especially the Element show was fantastic ! We really enjoyed eating at the specialty restaurants, especially Le BISTRO and La Cucinca. Don't miss the crepes on the Lido deck , they were outstanding. I'm not going to give details of the ship, ...

We took the Jade on a British Isle cruise on May 22. This was our first time on the Jade. However, we have cruised on her sister ships (Pearl and Jewel) multiple times. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: - The staff were all very nice and professional. - The meals and service in the main dining rooms were very good. - The layout of the ship is very easy to navigate. - We enjoyed ...

This was our sixth cruise and the third on the Jade. We have always enjoyed the Jade and really like the upgrades in appearence and facilities that have occurred on the Jade since we last sailed. We had always wanted to see Ireland and Scotland and given we were on the earlier Norwegian fyord cruise we saw a good opportunity to visit these locations with a back to back cruise around the ...

This cruise liner ruin my vacation

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Jade

The ship is fine by itself. However when we first boarded found our cabin bed(s) was not configured as we requested. The house keeping guy told us he did not receive any instruction from his supervisor. After the cabin was re-arranged, we found 2 holes in the sheet under one of the pillow, since we were rather tired so we did not pursuit the problem. After 3rd day on the trip, the sheet with the ...

The itinerary was amazing, which is why we picked this particular cruise. We had a mini suite and our steward was Armando who was excellent. Although the food included was not excellent, it was good and had many choices. Cagney was however, very good and highly recommended. The ship was clean and for the most part the staff was very nice and personable. However, there needs to be more ...

Interesting cruise around the British Isles

The ship was ok. We had sailed on the Jade seven years ago. There was some cosmetic changes but basically the same. They had made extra effort and privileges for the Haven guests and that was nice. The service was great. We understood most of the crew. We found it terrible that NCL charges for bottled water ! This is vital to your health and they DO NOT include bottled water or ...

Norwegian Jade refitted by Ikea?

This was our third cruise with NCL and the overall experience was slightly dissapointing. We were expecting great things from this ship having previously enjoyed cruising the Med on Norwegian Spirit and Alaska on the Jade's sister ship the Jewel but found the Jade to be a bit bland and lacklustre in comparison to it's sisters. The itinerary itself was fine. A leisurely trip around the UK ...

Nicely refurbished ship

This was my 30th cruise. About 20th on Norwegian and this was my 6th ship in the fleet after Escape, Breakaway, Getaway, Epic and Spirit. The refurbishment has been done very nice and introduced some great elements from the newer ships like O'Sheehans, however the ents are still the traditional format of a twice nightly show with the predictable format which seems to consist of a magic act, ...

The Circumnavigation Of The British Isles Tribute Cruise

I decided on this cruise because it was an itinerary I have been wanting to do for many years and my favourite ship with my favourite company was doing it. Being a solo cruiser this was not the cheapest cruise I have done but as it had sold out quite some time in advance of the departure date and was rather port intensive I suppose it should be expected. The first disappointment was the fact ...
