AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

Beautiful boat, comfortable public areas, easy to get around, wonderful balcony cabin, great food in a variety of dining areas, fantastic shows with very talented performers, , interesting itinerary, plenty of scheduled and unscheduled activities, spectacular service from staff (cabin attendants, wait staff, cruise director staff, kitchen staff, even security. Extremely well-trained and attentive ...

My spouse and I sailed on the Jade from Oct. 6-16 from NYC to the Maritimes and back. We previously sailed on 3 different Princess cruises. Could not find one with them that was going exactly where we wanted to go, so decided to take a chance on Norwegian as it did. Sorry to say that I doubt we will ever sail on Norwegian again. No one explained to us that people would be booking their specialty ...

We chose this cruise because we like NCL, we wanted to travel this specific week, and did not want to go to the Caribbean due storms. Also, this one left from NYC, which was an easy drive for us. As it turned out, parking was $40 a day, so we could have flown to Miami for about the same price, had we left from there. The service on this ship is exceptional. The staff simply cannot do enough to ...

Some things need to be improved.

We selected this cruise for its destinations....all Canadian ports. First major disappointment was the cancellation of the overnight stay in Quebec. We were given late notice of change and not allowed to cancel our journey without losing our money. Disembarking on two of the four ports used only one exit without proper planning for lining up. It was annoying to be waiting on line and having ...

Great itinerary

WE choose this cruise because of the itinerary and the embarkation and disembarkation port N.Y.C. Cabin was very small and it was difficult for two people to pass each other in the space given. One of the main issues we had was the very inadequate safety drill. It was poorly planned and demonstrated. We wondered what a disaster it would be if evacuation of the ship was necessary!!! This is one ...

This was our second time on any NCL ship. The first was in Hawaii, and let's face it, it could have been a dump and you would still be happy to be there! After many more experiences on other cruise lines, mainly DCL, we decided to try NCL again for their Canadian cruise. We chose a balcony cabin which was nice. It's hard not to sail without one now. All of the specialty restaurants were ...

This was a trip of lifetime cruise for me. I saw places I always wanted to go to but never had a chance to get to before. We left from South Hampton and did the Transatlantic to New York. We stayed in London for a few days and then New York for a few days. The staff were so helpful and friendly always going out of their way to make your day as enjoyable as possible. The food and the ...

GREAT food and service; except for last, production shows were not good!

Restaurant service , choice, presentation was exceptional; however solo travelers when dining should be asked if they wish to share rather than just assigning them to a single table.. Except for final show, production shows had very talented performers BUT the theme and music ere questionable:eg Don't ride a horse,RIDE A COWBOY; and a juvenile themed: Talent Show Dis-embarkation was a ...

Great Ship, Great Stateroom, Poor Food Quality

We chose this cruise because of the unusual routing which allowed us to visit destinations we've never been to before, stopping in Lerwick Scotland, Iceland, St Johns and Portland. Each destination was unique in its own way and well worth the visit. The only excursion we did was the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. While expensive, it was well worth the time and money. It was a true high point of the ...

This was our 4th NCL cruise. I was a bit disappointed in the (free) food, and the crowds/lack of seating in Garden Cafe The specialty restaurants were great, though. I got tired of all the hype-trying to sell us stuff all the time. (Been doing more Viking cruises lately, so I got spoiled.) I was glad to see a few lectures, but would love more. (Not art lectures, where intent is to sell ...
