AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

Terrible service

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Jade

Plan on standing in line for half your time to get a drink. This includes simple stuff, like a coke or Pepsi. Sure you can get water. Or ice tea. The staff is so limited and over worked. Absolutely do not bring kids there’s nothing for them other than the splash zone. I mean no kids channel either. Ok ya the shouldn’t watch tv but then WhT is there one? Every cafeteria serves exactly ...

We chose this cruise as we wanted to be on the ship to bring on the new year, the ports were all new to us so an opportunity to try new places. We boarded the cruise at Tampa, we were Haven guests so had a priority check in area, so we didn’t need to wait and we’re on the ship by 11.30am and taken for lunch in Cagney which was designated for Haven guests. However overall we were really ...

Great Experience

I chose this cruise to celebrate New Year’s Eve and for the itinerary including Roatán because we wanted to experience the sloth and monkey sanctuary. The ship was clean and beautiful and easy to get around. Service in all areas could not have been better. Several areas smelled of cigarettes, including outside the theater and the game room, which was undesirable. The pool did not have a slide, ...

Food not so hot. Our last Norwegian cruise in 2019 had better food. Moderno was a major disappointment. Staff was over worked and underpaid. The NCL hired less employees making it a strain on the ones working. Felt sorry for the staff. Major long lines to embarkation. Why have a boarding time when it was a free for all to get on. We will need to explore other cruise line options. Staff was ...

Being sick on vacation sucks...but, not so much on NCL Jade!

My wife became ill on the cruise and had to see the medical facility. She was diagnosed with COVID and a bacterial infection. The medical staff were incredible. Guest services, medical, housekeeping, concierge and butler were all incredible attentive afterwards and appeared to be genuinely concerned about her wellbeing. In general, all staff were professional, hardworking, and provided some ...

Blatant Lack of Concern about the Customer Experience

We have cruised loyally with NCL for 13yrs; over 78 nights on cruises; 7 different cruises. Each year, the guest experience has been slashed while the price has gone up. Yet, we still think the next cruise will be better. But I think we are done with NCL. Our recent sailing on the Jade was just a blatant lack of concern about the guest experience. EACH INDIVIDUAL staff member was incredible ...

My husband and I have cruised twice before with NCL, first time 10 years ago and 2nd time was 5 years ago. This trip was planned as a 40th wedding anniversary celebration and it met or exceeded all my expectations. We wanted a 14 day or more cruise, off-season works great for us and the pricing was very attractive. We initially booked a 2-bedroom (non-Haven) almost a year in advance but prior to ...

Solo traveler...I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Partially blocked oceanview cabin was a delight...larger than cabins on newer ships. Stewards were awesome as were all staff. I was on Deck 8 midship...perfect location. Spent an overnight in Lisbon before embarkation...loved it. Lisbon is a beautiful hilly city that requires some stamina...but worth the effort. Embarkation was a breeze. Food was ...

An Average, Enjoyable Transatlantic Cruise

We chose this cruise as we wanted to experience a transatlantic crossing. This itinerary suited us as Portugal is a country we had not been to, and we wanted to visit New York again. We are Platinum Latitude members and after sailing on a few other cruise lines we prefer the NCL Freestyle experience and Speciality Dining options. We do not like the bigger ships and mainly choose a cruise based ...

1 -At the pier, we were directed to the wrong line to begin check-in (not a good omen). There were 6 stations, where each NCL person had a paper printout of 2,000 people to flip through to find our names (oh,boy). 2 - Room sounds as if the storm is inside. Steward explained, in a somewhat miffed tone, that we did not push the handle hard enough. DL cannot do this, Ken will need to help. We ...
