I chose this cruise to see Norway and experience the northern lights. I am so glad I chose Hurtigruten, what a lovely family!
So helpful for the booking stage, through Covid and cancellations, helpful information in preparation for the trip and great on board care.
There are lots of great trips on offer.
The excursions were varied. The expedition crew very helpful and knowledgeable when ...
We have traveled from Bergen to Trondheim on MS NORDKAPP Hurtigruten's ship. It has been a great experience. We'll repeat with Hurtigruten and if it is possible, with MS NORDKAPP, but this time from Bergen to Kirkenes.
After check in, a very good reception on board, and personal wellcome to all passengers.
Very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. A spectacular panoramic views in the bar at ...
The cruise was informal; great food; friendly, attentive & knowledgeable staff; variety of ports & excursions
With less passengers than the larger ships, people could get to know each other and the staff which led to a friendly atmosphere
The food was good quality, with something for everyone (although it did include a lot of fish - but I expect there were vegetarian / meat options if ...
This cruise was chosen because our previous cruises to Norway with P&O had not gone as far north.
Booking direct with Hurtigruten meant that we were covered by their travel arrangements eg charter flight to Bergen from the UK and transfer to the port.
The ship is a working fast ferry that carries goods and post. However, the public areas are furnished to a high quality. The ship stops at ...
We were very pleased we chose this trip, which did not disappoint and in the main was above expectations. The ship was in excellent condition and kept very clean. We were impressed by our accommodation (suite 502) which was large (two rooms), very comfortable and spotless.
We enjoyed some excellent and interesting excursions, although one of the highlights, a trip on a snowmobile, had to be ...
We have chosen this cruise in Winter to see the arctic and the northern lights. We did the Route Bergen - Kirkenes - Trondheim.
Embarkation in Bergen was easy and it had a luggage service.
The ship is not to big and for our opinion a good decision to travel. We had a cabin with a king size bed.
The crew is very friendly and helpful.
The dining is very good. At Breakfast and Lunch is ...
We haven't done a cruise before but have always wanted to do a "Small Ship" cruise as the thought of a 1,000+ ship fills us with horror!
My father did this cruise 3 years ago & he is so fussy , so when he recommended it we knew it was a safe choice.
The whole experience from booking to finish was professional & smooth.
We stayed in Bergen for a couple of days before embarking, this was ...
We mainly went to see the Northern Lights. We saw them on a number of occasions, which was great, but they were slightly underwhelming. They were mainly white light / only showing green on very slow exposure photographs.
The ship was comfortable, the crew and food were excellent. Drinks were expensive. £15 for a glass of wine, £10 for less than a pint of beer.
The excursion in Tromsø was ...
We got a Valentines offer on the website for the 2nd person to go for £199 and ended up with a room on floor 3 with 2 portholes and twin beds.
The cabin was cosy and a bit noisy at night when the ship stopped, but with earplugs in we got used to this quickly and it kind of added to the experience.
We were very lucky with weather and it was sunny and warm with calm seas almost the entire ...
We have done a lot of cruises. We were aware that the Nordkapp is a working vessel and that it was going to be a lot less comfortable than a lot of other ships that is why we booked a attic superior cabin. When we arrived at the check in we had been downgraded to a polar outside. Because I am claustrophobic I jumped up and down to at least get a window. The cabin was the size of a railway ...
