Our cruise was lovely. We have been on Independence of the Seas before. We are quite fond of this ship.
Our stops were the usual suspects...Coco Cay and Nassau. Good stops for a weekend cruise.
Food was great in Dining room and Windjammer.
Entertainment was good.
Cabin steward was amazing.
Key was worth every penny . We enjoyed our Key Lunch.
All in all the cruise was restful ...
I booked this cruise to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. We were a party of eight in two rooms on the 12th floor. The rooms were tight, but we only needed it to sleep. The rest of the ship was lovely. Michael in housekeeping and our wait staff were all wonderful. I received a bit of an attitude from individuals in the Spa and Bar (not sure which one since I don't drink, I was simply asking ...
I took my 6 and 9 year-olds on this trip while my dear wife stayed behind with our 6-week old. It was a great "dad trip" before school started. We did not even get off the ship in Nassau (as planned). I expected everyone to have the same idea in Nassau and stay on the ship, but no. The pool deck had plenty of space, the pools were nearly empty, and it was even easy to score a hot tub entirely to ...
My husband and I decided to take a cruise as a belated 25th wedding anniversary to ourselves. This meant no kids, dogs, no cooking or laundry. Just doing whatever we wanted with no time constraints or schedules. We took all the necessary pre-covid testing (2 days prior to sail date) and we were off. We were looking forward to the glorious dining choices that we cruisers have become accustomed ...
This was our second sailing on this ship. The first was May 2022. We had a good time the first time around and knew what to expect the second time.
Embarkation was a breeze. RC has it down to a science. Our port arrival time was 11am. We arrived and didn't wait in any lines. After checking in, we sat in the large area to await embarkation. While there, you can start on your muster drill. ...
I usually cruise with Disney and Celebrity but decided to give Royal a try. I did a 4 night cruise which I felt was a perfect amount of time for a first time Royal cruiser. This was very much so a booze cruise so be aware if you’re not a drinker…people can get pretty crazy onboard. We were past capacity (I asked a crew member and they said 4,590 guests were onboard)…the pools and lido deck were ...
This is our first cruise post pandemic. Our family of four managed to never get COVID these past couple of years…but the cruise did us in. Our throats felt sore during the car ride home, and 24 hours after that, the more severe symptoms kicked in. I did report it to the RCCL post cruise help desk just in case they’re keeping track.
Ship was very crowded…always lines in the promenade and buffet. ...
In full disclosure, this was my first cruise, so I have nothing to compare it to other than other land-based vacations. I quite literally cannot adequately express how amazing this experience and cruise was. From the room to the crew to the food to the activities it was an amazing trip.
PROS:
1. The crew was consistently amazing. Friendly, helpful, and always attentive.
2. I had an ...
Ok let me do this quick review of my cruise June 10-13 2022 on Independence of the Seas. This is my review of how I saw it and what you have seen may be totally different. I will give an A, B C, D, F grade.
This is my first cruise since October 2019 pre pandemic. I have been cruising since 2008 all on Royal. Not putting my C&A status as that will not give anything extra to the review. Had a ...
We did this with family and friends. Was just enough days. The shows were good, food good, service was excellent. Boarding on and off the ship was great. Crew was very good all around the ship. Our head waiter was excellent. We had a 6 year old with our group and he helped with swift food delivery as he was always so hungry by dinner.
Clothing was Very casual in dining room for dinner. Saw ...
