What happened to Royal Caribbean?

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

The ship is very nice a lot to see on deck 5 which is where all the activity is. The entertainment is very lacking I am still try to figure out the broadway show that we watched, it was just people hanging from the ceiling spinning around the entire time. The one movie they show on the poolside theatre for adults was good. The dining was just downright disgusting. This was talked about with other ...

Customer Service was Lacking

Embarkation was smooth and easy. The Ship itself was fun and I had plenty to do. My entire family enjoyed the Ice show and acrobatics show. The reason for my poor overall rating: I was not satisfied with the customer service attitude of several of the employees. First, our stateroom was not appropriate for our children. We had a guaranteed stateroom when we booked through a Royal Caribbean ...

The embarkation went smoothly but the debarkation took more than an hour and a half. The cabin was kept clean and dining in the dining hall was ok. Our waiters were great. We traveled with 2 teenagers and the entertainment and activities was adequate. I played a lot at the casino which they had no problem charging my debit card for. I was set up to the only charge from my debit card and ...

Not a MUST

I chose this cruise because of the boat's features and the ability to have my 19 month old son go to childcare....both were a joke on this boat!!! We were told that we could leave our son only if we made reservations for specific times and then they closed 2 hours earlier than the daycare for our 4yr old. It made absolutely no sense!! When we asked why it was set up like that, no one could provide ...

Bad food, sad staff

Pros: We had a great experience in Galveston. Embarkation was easy. We loved our ports in Roatan and Costa Maya -- two of the best ports/excursion experiences I've had in my six cruises. Cons: The food. I have never had bad cruise ship food. This was just bad. Things that looked good, tasted bland...or worse. This was the case in the buffet cafe (Windjammer) and also the Main Dining Room. We ...

It is our homeport so it was natural to choose RCCL. We were suppose to travel with family from New York, but an injury two days before sailing left them at home. But we went ahead and traveled and so glad we did! The ship is large and has a lot to do...or not...it's really up to the client. The kids' water park was unbelievable....they should schedule an adult time for this feature! We had ...

My daughter and I chose this cruise out of Galveston because we could drive to the port in under ten hours, stay one night in a hotel and then board the ship early on departure day. Also we have to work our travel trips around her daughter's school break schedule and her work vacation days. My husband and I have cruised with Royal Caribbean before and have always enjoyed the ship amenities and ...

Pros and Cons of our First RC cruise

We chose this cruise for our Anniversary celebration because we live in Texas and can easily board in Galveston. We are avid cruisers, but had never sailed on RC-so we gave it a try. This was also, our first cruise without additional family along. We drove to Galveston from DFW and spent the night at Moody Gardens. It is an easy 10 minute drive to the port . Pros :Embarkation was a breeze, ...

We choose this cruise because of friends going on it.Probably will not return to RC.Food substandard quality of food on buffet was not as good as food on Golden Corral. Entertainment was not up to standard of a luxury cruise line in my opinion .Only offer at one time per night.so missed out on couple of shows because of overlap with dinner time.Service staff was great. Captain made a good choice ...

this was not my first cruise so I know a little about how the trip is suppose to go. The ship was fantastic. It's clean, laid out well. The food is fantastic. It's definitely an upgrade from the lower costs cruise and well worth it. However. We got the drink package for sodas and coffee. Every time we went to the bar on our deck ( which was the only place to get drinks on our deck) the server ...
