We always cruise the last week of February since Feb 28 is our Anniversary. Since we live in Texas, Galveston seems logic for a departure Port.
We arrived around 2 PM at the port and dropped off the Luggage and then took the Car to the EZ Cruise Parking lot. We did not know that the street EZ Cruise is on was the staging Area for the Mardi Gras Parade. We nearly didn't make it there. I believe ...
This was our second time cruising on Liberty of the Seas and my 10th cruise with Royal Caribbean. It was my 50th Birthday cruise, as we enjoy getting away and spending time around people and sea lovers.
The ship is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to us. Our cabin was a aft corner balcony- number 1700. We did 1400 last year, which is the opposite ...
We chose this cruise because we can drive to Galveston and the price was right. Overall I had a great time. The food was good. We ate in all the restaurants on board and it was generally all good. The only slight disappointment was Giovanni's. The menu was a smaller version of what's posted online. We ate there twice and the food was cold the first time. Prawns were overcooked and under seasoned. ...
25th RCCL cruise and this ranked in the top five. Ship is beautiful and clean. Staff and food was back to "the old days". Disembarkation for self carry was a bit odd this time. Way too much printing of ART auction info. Have already done Freedom and Independence as sister ships. Loyal To Royal!
There were no problems or stresses last week.
Bar staff at pool and in ...
We picked this cruise mainly due to the destinations. It was our intent to scuba dive and we wanted the particular ports that this cruise offered. We also wanted to use RCCL from feedback from other cruisers and because my wife sailed on the Freedom Of The Seas a couple of years ago and loved it. We used the RCCL excursions for scuba diving in Roatan and Cozumel. Both dive outfits were great ...
I talked my sister and brother-in-law into coming on a cruise with us because I was hoping that we could reconnect after living far apart for many years. After this cruise, I'm surprised she is even talking to me.
This was our third cruise on Liberty of the Seas in less than a year. The first cruise was great, the second not quite as great, but this one was a disaster from Day Two.
Day One - ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We'd never been to Roatan, and we've never been to Belize. We loved the idea of cruising out of Galveston, and would have really enjoyed being able to spend more time in Galveston. There were two areas of concern, however. Finding transportation from Houston Hobby Airprort was a chore. We were arriving a day early so ship transportation was not a ...
We loved this cruise, the ship was great all of the venues were wonderful and my cabin was perfect. We ate breakfast in the main dining room each morning which works out so well, if you get there before 8:30, no line. Sabot was great, we ate there for lunch one day and everything was wonderful great food and exceptional service. Sorrentos pizza was really good, much better than on Anthem. ...
The Liberty of the seas is a beautiful, well appointed ship with every amenity one could want! We used the spa and had top notch treatments. The massage therapists were as good if not better than those we have had on other lines. My wife said the facial and wraps she received were as good or better than she has experienced on any other cruise line.
We paid for three excursions and all three ...
Embarkation was a cluster due to fog delay. The Galveston Port was not ready for the amount of guests arriving all at once.
I stayed in an inside cabin on the 8th floor which I had never done before and it was great.
Wonderful housekeeping services. Our server in the dining room was horrible. We had an 8am seating and he had a trainee following him who was lovely. I believe his name was ...
