My husband and I were on the Liberty of the Seas for spring break (March 12-19). We had a wonderful week! The ship is beautiful, and the crew works hard to keep everything clean and bright. One thing we learned on this cruise was that we did not have to have a cabin with a balcony which would have cost us several hundred dollars more. (Prices for spring break week were higher than most weeks.) We ...
Galveston is a great place to take a cruise from because of its convenience and accessibility to Houston. The great people of Galveston work very hard to get everyone on the ship. Embarkation was relatively easy.
We are diamond RCCL members and maybe that made it easy this time. Until now, we were Emerald. One advantage of cruising with RCCL is that they acknowledge your loyalty, not to ...
the cruise ship is amazing, the staff are amazing, the destinations are fun. but all the fees were unexpected, that was hard to deal with. the ship maxed out my credit card ...i payed out 750.00 in tips that are automatic. and still owed another 200.00 on the last day. All the drink cards are expensive . i didn't do any excursions, we went on land and just explored, it was way cheaper . I didn't ...
Cruised with my husband and four children ages 14-6. We had a fabulous time. The ship has a lot to offer and is so much fun for the kids. There was a lot of active things to do. The staff we experienced were all excellent (with the exception of the cruise director).
Food was between average and good. It worked for us. Overall things were great but here are the few things that weren't so ...
We live in Texas and thought driving to and sailing from Galveston would be easy and fun. We usually sail with Celebrity and because of this thought Royal Caribbean who owns Celebrity couldn't be much different. We actually spent 15 days on a Celebrity ship in Nov. so I'm comparing ships from a time period of less than 4 months.
The one and only compliment I will give the ship is the ...
We chose Liberty of the Seas as an easy cruise from our home in Dallas. We arrived at the port about 10:30 which was a terrible time. Since we were excited to get onboard we had plenty of patience, but it took quite a long time to get to a porter with our luggage. It was a bit exasperating at moments and the rain didn't help anything, but it became clear that we were arriving at the worst ...
We choose this cruise because we could drive to Galveston - save on airfare. We didn't know it was spring break for many north Texas schools. There were lots of kids on board, but that was ok, because the ship has an adults only pool area. This ship handles crowds very well. We had early dining in Michelangelo and were able to go to all the shows after dinner. Dinner was fine in MDR. We did ...
I picked this cruise because I've sailed 5 times with Royal Caribbean and the last cruise we took out of Galveston on the Navigator was a blast. Our ports were Roatan Honduras, Belize City Belize, and Cozumel Mexico. The ports were great and we enjoyed to zip line in Roatan, Starfish Island in Belize, and swimming with the Dolphins in Cozumel. No problems there except the food at our Dolphin ...
We always cruise the last week of February since Feb 28 is our Anniversary. Since we live in Texas, Galveston seems logic for a departure Port.
We arrived around 2 PM at the port and dropped off the Luggage and then took the Car to the EZ Cruise Parking lot. We did not know that the street EZ Cruise is on was the staging Area for the Mardi Gras Parade. We nearly didn't make it there. I believe ...
This was our second time cruising on Liberty of the Seas and my 10th cruise with Royal Caribbean. It was my 50th Birthday cruise, as we enjoy getting away and spending time around people and sea lovers.
The ship is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to us. Our cabin was a aft corner balcony- number 1700. We did 1400 last year, which is the opposite ...
