We spent 3 days in NYC beforehand exploring the city before boarding the Bahamas bound ship. As a father-daughter trip (11 yrs old) we had a great time!

Gem has a good reputation for food, I had a 12 yr old and the kids club dropped the ball huge.
They even rescheduled a time I left an activity to go to the outdoor court only to find out there had been a schedule adjustment.
Leaving the ship was totally unacceptable and not the impression you want a paying customer to as the last impression.
