A friend of mine said that MSC offers good trips through Europa. So we booked a expensive cruise with almoust all the packages needed. We were surprised, that a lot of drinks are not included in our package. We consumed a nice bottle of wine every night for dinner - of course not included in the price. Every day the made a advertisment about percentages for shoping, best offers for massage, ...

Our cruise began in Copenhagen, Denmark. During the pre boarding process my wife and I were asked where we were from by one of the MSC cruise line staff holding a clip board. We responded, "we are from Texas, USA", the MSC employee then rolled her eyes, and replied "oh no, we already have too many Americans". It was an awkward moment, as we thought she was only kidding, and we were waiting for ...

Embarkation: As this was a repositioning cruise, passengers embarked at multiple locations during the cruise: Marseille, Genoa, Valencia and possibly other ports. We embarked at Genoa and, in part due to not being a full ship changeover, it was a quick process. Ship: MSC Poesia was a nice ship. Built in 2008, it does not have a Yacht Club section. Two main Dining Rooms and one ...

We booked our first cruise with MSC (a party of 4) in August as we were drawn to the fact that there were no sea days and most of the ports looked appealing and were places we wanted to visit However I can honestly say I don’t think we’ll be rushing back to book again anytime soon! First for the good bits:- Price - the price is very competitive when you look at other cruise ...

Overall a disappointment and nothing like what we were expecting. Embarkation at Venice was a nightmare, waiting almost 4 hours under blistering sun/heat. It was like a badly run cattle market. Cabin with balcony on deck 11 was clean and comfy, no complaints apart from a non-communicative cabin steward/cleaner (female) who grunted rather than spoke. In a week we probably exchanged 10 words ...

Travelling in group of 6. Embarkation at Venice went OK. Appearance of interior of ship was beautiful, plenty of marble and mirrors. Dining in the Restaurant was not enjoyable although the wait staff were good. Menu was average, serving portions small. If you wanted water with your meal, you had to pay for it!! What a joke!! No complimentary coffee or tea either. At times service was slow. Dining ...

Just completed a Mediterranean cruise on MSC Poesia. As mentioned by others, the buffet was limited selection, repetitive menu, and poor quality food at best. In general the guests were pushy and rude at the buffet. "Hog feeding," is the image that came to mind. Servers were unresponsive and detached. We were refused service in the deck five dining room and left after 30 minutes of waiting and ...

We chose this cruise due interesting itinerary, but foods, wines, front recepcion atention, were very low quality and manufacturing. For example, we complain about the wines, as others passangers did. About the food, poor quality of meat, fish, and others. A dish of lamb, were 8 small pieces sizes 1 cm x 1cm, 4 of them inedible. A course of " "cocido a española", was a stew , a steak was a ...

Cruise is not for Americans - Italian cruise line for Italians

Just wrote a review but didn't seem to get posted. This cruise is an Italian Cruise Line built and organized for Italians/Europeans. Not saying this is bad but from how the shows are organized (spoken in Italian) to how the food is prepared (for Italians) it is not a cruise that after several days suits an American palate. This is our 9th cruise. 3 on RCL, 3 NCL, 1 Carnival, 1 Holland ...
