Nice time on Poesia - good way to see ports on the Baltic!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Poesia

Background - We were first time big ship cruisers so we did not have anything to compare the experience to except a River Boat and they aren't even comparable! We are Americans living in Germany so are quite used to the "European" customs, trends, eating habits, etc. Embarkation - We were unable to do the online check in. For a Saturday departure, the latest one can check in is by midnight on ...

Spring Break on the MSC Poesia

I've read some harsh review of the MSC Poesia, and while this wasn't my favorite cruise, it certainly wasn't the worst. First up, embarkation was a breeze. We were on the ship in no time and got keys to our room immediately. The ship doesn't leave port until 7pm, but we arrived at the terminal around 1pm and had a leisurely afternoon and lunch on board. The ship is beautiful and very clean. ...

We booked this cruise over a year ago. Upon reading reviews, I was wondering what we booked and was looking forward to the worst. After reading the reviews and experiencing the ship, I think many people must be on crack and just like to complain about anything and everything.... Overall impression of the ship- Very beautiful and well decorated Embarkment- This was really quick and smooth. We ...

MSC Poesia is my worst cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on MSC Poesia

EMBARKMENT Embarkment was fast since we arrived in the early afternoon when departure was at 7PM. The MSC Port Everglades Terminal is rudimentary with portable wall partitions and a painted concrete floors. We had to fill out the physical condition form without enough room or tables. But Hey : who cares, we're going on a cruise. THE SHIP At first, we discovered a fabulous decor and gorgeous ...

Great Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on MSC Poesia

We had a Balcony Cabin on the 12th deck. This ship is really beautifully decorated, and is a pleasure to walk around and marvel. Our cabin again was very well decorated and very spacious and comfortable. We had a generous Balcony with a table and two chairs, and a wonderful view. The Buffet was excellent with a very wide choice. Our cruise was spoilt by the Waiter in the main Dining room, bad ...

BACKGROUND We are British, in our mid sixties with a dozen cruises to our name and have sailed with MSC on eight occasions, four in the last 4 years. This most recent experience was with two back-to-back cruises: a) West Caribbean; & b) TransAtlantic Repositioning via East Caribbean & West Mediterranean Whilst the line has its shortcomings, we are attracted to MSC because of its stylish ...

Horror onboard MSC Poesia

I'll be blunt, direct and the most honest I can on this review. Basicly, I'm not a complicated or demanding person. This is my 3rd cruise this winter. The MSC cruise was the worst cruise and overall the worst vacation in my life. I'm now 50. Be aware that this cruise was during spring break and there were lots (realy a lot) of kids and teens. So read this critic acordingly. I wanted to kiss ...

No hand holding on MSC

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

I wanted to be sure to give good advice for anyone else who is considering MSC. I have been on Carnival, RCL & NCL before and I wanted to try something new, I can tell you there is no hand holding on this cruise line. I missed a lot of important stuff because I didn't know enough about this cruise line and they aren't very forthcoming with the information. 80% of the rooms are balconies, so ...

Bravo MSC Poesia -- Great Way to See Caribbean

BACKGROUND I sailed on this cruise as a solo. This was my 10th cruise; I've been on all the mainstream cruise lines (except Costa) and about half the premium/luxury lines so inevitably I ended up comparing this ship and cruise line with others I've taken--it compared favorably, despite that it was less expensive than most (maybe all of them) and had mixed reviews. I am an American and speak ...
