This was the second time we had been on this ship and I loved it even more this time around. We had a suite and a premium drinks package and I felt very looked after and spoilt. The staff are generally very friendly and helpful and our cabin was clean comfortable. They take great pains to keep the ship clean and keep people healthy. The food is great and the various restaurants are terrific. They ...
I read many reviews about Celebrity Solstice and many reviews leave me wondering what on earth people do on their cruise, maybe all day finding fault very anything they can?
Our second cruise on Solstice was as memorable and wonderful as the first, just over a year prior. Embarkation in Sydney was busy but efficient, it did not take long to board, the traffic jam at Circular Quay took far ...
We boarderd in Sydney , and thanks to the Concierge class , we had a shorter line to embark.
Found the ship to be luxurious , beds super comfortable and the staff most attentive. The stateroom with a balcony was a great assett.
Food on the ship was of an excellent quality and the specialty restaurants Murano,Silk Harvets and Tuscan were well worth paying the additional $us 99.00 per person ...
CRUISE REVIEW: Celebrity Solstice 22 March 2015 12 Night South Pacific Cruise
Just to start off with a bit of background on ourselves. My partner and I are in our late 20’s / early 30’s and have previously cruised together with Royal Caribbean. I have also previously cruised with P&O Australia & Carnival. We knew the general age demographic on Celebrity would be different to Royal Caribbean ...
Our second cruise (first was with Carnival ex Los Angeles) was on the beautiful Solstice. We travelled with 2 friends who had also not cruised with Celebrity before (but had with RCL).
Embarkation was seamless and we were onboard before lunch, greeted with champagne and set off up to Deck 15 to have a drink (lovely space with the fresh grass, great views), good bar service ....and eventually ...
Sailed on her (Celebrity Solstice) on the 22nd March 2015, it was our first cruise, we had the best time on board, all the staff were very friendly, the ship was spotless, food was great. We didn't buy a drinks package as we aren't drinkers but coffee and 1Litre bottled water was very reasonably priced $6 for each. Entertainment on board was varied, something for everyone. Our cabin 6217 was ...
Don't go unless you're a senior! This is not a cruise ship for a younger crowd and families. The ship itself was lovely enough with all standard cruise ship stuff. The entertainment was all aimed at the golden oldies crowd, only 2 shows out of 12 we liked. Fine dining restaurant we didn't enjoy, quality and service lacking. Creperie was nice for $7 a couple of nights. The buffet was almost always ...
We sailed on Celebrity Solstice March 22nd to the South Pacific, we are 3rd time cruisers (late 40’s early 50’s) this is our second cruise on the Beautiful Solstice having sailed almost 12 months to the day to New Zealand in 2014.
Our trip for us started a few days earlier travelling from rural Victoria to West Wyalong then on to Katoomba for a couple of days to see the beautiful Blue Mountains ...
My wife and I have just completed our second cruise with Celebrity, which was a 12 night cruise to New Caledonia and Fiji on the Celebrity Solstice.
We arrived at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at 10.00am, initially to drop off our luggage and were pleasantly surprised when advised that we could embark immediately. The embarkation process was very efficient and we were on board by 11.00am, ...
When you begin planning your cruise all f the brochures would have you almost believing that todays cruise ships are almost as Aussie as you are, but once onboard you quickly discover that they are the American equivalent of Macca's on the ocean. They are always trying to upsell you to something outrageously expensive given the fact that you have already paid in excess of AUD$400 per couple per ...
