We just got off a 7N Norway cruise on board the MSC Fantasia from Kiel, Germany. Having cruised multiple times with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess, we were unsure about how we would like MSC, especially an older ship of theirs.

It seems I’ve sailed on two cruises with MSC: my first and my last.
Problems:
1. Poor communication. Boarding tenders was not announced. No warning of 7:30 lineup. It resulted in a huge missed prepaid reservation. By the time we were shuttles to the harbor, there were only a few hours available. Worst cruise experience ever.

This was my 2nd cruise with MSC and my first in Europe. It was a nice experience. The MSC Fantasia is a nice ship and the crew couldn't have been nicer. We had a better service experience than we did on our first cruise in the Bahamas.

We found a good deal and brought the extended family.
The good: the ship is good enough, lots of cafes mostly closed when you need them. Staff overall good and helpful, some exceptions. Cabins are small and older looking. TV like a postage stamp with white noise.

1. Unprofessional crews are undertrained, ruled, and disrespectful. One crew even threaten to call the police when I asked him questions about my passport status. (They send someone very unprofessional to collect customers' passports).

The cabin are very nice. So big pluss for that. Also check in was smoothe. The crew try to push a lot on you, even waiter (they get extra from it) like drinking package or spa or what ever.
