Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Fantasia

I decided to write a review for our MCS Fantasia cruise because I found there to be a lack of information out there on some basic questions and hope this will help fill in gaps for the next family that tries to partake on a cruise like this. Some of this will be review of the MSC cruise itself, and some other information that might help with planning and execution. Background: We took a ...

MSC Fantasia - 7N Norway cruise review

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Fantasia

We just got off a 7N Norway cruise on board the MSC Fantasia from Kiel, Germany. Having cruised multiple times with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess, we were unsure about how we would like MSC, especially an older ship of theirs. We travelled as part of a pretty big group. We had 5 balcony cabins between the 10 adults and 1 infant and fortunately we were all close to one another. We ...

Chaos. Poor communication.

It seems I’ve sailed on two cruises with MSC: my first and my last. Problems: 1. Poor communication. Boarding tenders was not announced. No warning of 7:30 lineup. It resulted in a huge missed prepaid reservation. By the time we were shuttles to the harbor, there were only a few hours available. Worst cruise experience ever. 2. Cancelled Olden port. Clearly, MSC had no plans to visit ...

Best MSC Cruise So Far

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Fantasia

This was my 2nd cruise with MSC and my first in Europe. It was a nice experience. The MSC Fantasia is a nice ship and the crew couldn't have been nicer. We had a better service experience than we did on our first cruise in the Bahamas. The food was decent in the main dining room and the buffet food was quite good. We had a drinks package included with our cruise fare, which included ...

Brazil being on our travel bucket list and cruising being our favourite type of holiday we thought this holiday would be perfect. It was the complete opposite. Food- Disgusting. Raw chicken, tiny portions, horrible selection, half the buffet shut, need I go on? I think MSC are keeping the cuttlefish afloat as for some strange reason that was on every night. The food was so bad there was times ...

We found a good deal and brought the extended family. The good: the ship is good enough, lots of cafes mostly closed when you need them. Staff overall good and helpful, some exceptions. Cabins are small and older looking. TV like a postage stamp with white noise. The bad: The buffet is like a crocodile feeding ground. Food mainly carbs and mostly poor in taste. Although the manager was very ...

Discriminating Cruise Line with No Customer Service

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

1. Unprofessional crews are undertrained, ruled, and disrespectful. One crew even threaten to call the police when I asked him questions about my passport status. (They send someone very unprofessional to collect customers' passports). 2. Don't get on the cruise in the first place. And don't purchase any excursions with them!! I booked a shore excursion with the MSC excursion desk. I was ...

Good cabin, tacky show, bored

The cabin are very nice. So big pluss for that. Also check in was smoothe. The crew try to push a lot on you, even waiter (they get extra from it) like drinking package or spa or what ever. Its not any fun activity as NCL or RC. Like learning fun stuff, or like quiz in pub, bingo, chess, or nice gatherings like gin tasting or something. Just like try 5 most famous cheap gin for 20 euro. And the ...

Msc Fantasia is the greatest ship in the Msc fleet. It is so much better than the new floating shopping malls. Both experienced passengers and crew members love this ship, as it has a unique, wonderful atmosphere. There is not much to say about this cruise. It was perfect. The entire crew was great, the food excellent, the ship beautiful and well-kept. The original Yacht Club on Fantasia is ...

This was my first cruise and it has put me off them. The attitude of the staff was disgusting and rude. The cruise was a rip of with alot of hidden extras and then when we complained about being charged extra we were told we were lying and they believed their staff. The kids club didn't have much entertainment or set activities and our children found it boring. We upgraded to the easy plus drink ...
