Not what MSC used to be
"Dirty spoons mixed with cleaned ones, this could easily happen due to high volume of certain type of guests.Dining room not much better in services, food generally ok, but knowledge of staffs very limited, no accompaniments offered, and when asked for certain items they arrived when you finished the dish already...."Read More

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

I booked this shorter Med cruise, to check if standards and general improvement where high on MSC wish list, to my dismay they were not. After a shambolic trip on the MSC Opera from Abu Dhabi to Genoa in may 2023, I tested the so called high calibre of service and quality which the company was aiming for, unfortunately all fallen by the wayside. The embarkation process was swift and very quick, ...

I will start by saying I do disagree with the comments about the staff from other reviews they were always friendly and smiled. We were in a balcony room on the 8th deck right above the manhatten club this place is so noisy at night, I know I should have probably checked this before I booked but it was worse than I expected. Food wise Buffet- just meh always busy Food was usually ...

I choose this cruise because it was affordable but the food wasn't impressive nor was the service at the Wave Restaurant. I did enjoy the entertainment which was great! However when you cruise the highlight is alway the quality of your food. I did book one of the specialty restaurants which was hibachi style that was quite tasty & entertaining as well. I booked a balcony cabin but it ...

We went on this as a family cruise. all adults It was the worst cruise that I have ever been on and I have been on a few. The people were not nice. The bartenders were not nice no one hardly ever smiled. The food was awful.., not a lot of entertainment, I will never cruise on MSC again , it’s not often that you can just go to Europe. We thought we were going to have a great time and no one on the ...

We (family of 3 adults) just disembarked from our MSC Fantasia cruise (a mediterranean cruise); it was our first time with this company. For more than 20 years, we have done several cruises throughout South and North America, as well as Mediterranean cruises. We have used different companies and ships, but none of them were so consistent in bringing 100% negative elements to the cruises’ ...

We sold our house in Canada so that we could travel the world by cruise ships. Our intention is that we could see the world, and report to our followers about the great itineraries, and different ships that are available to travel the world. This blog is about the MSC Fantasia. We boarded it in mid October, 2023 in Barcelona. We will briefly cover what we loved, and what we didn’t love, and ...

Charming Ship - Excellent Value

Fantasia Charming Ship - Great Price Firstly, let me get the money issue out of the way. Four days for a family of four for just £550. Including Marseille, Barcelona, Genoa and a sea day was excellent value. A charming ship, but not many things for kids to do, away from the kids club. The Ed Sheeran tribute show, was one of the best I've seen on msc. The theatre was spacious and ...

Enjoyable and affordable cruise with minor complaints

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Fantasia

We had booked a three-day Baltic sea cruise leg from Helsinki to Kiel. This was our first cruise ever (apart from Baltic ferries). Easy drinks package was included in the price and we upgraded it to Easy plus. We enjoyed the cruise experience immensely. All inclusive, including the basic drinks package, was great, cause we could stop counting expenses. We enjoyed trying the different options ...

Great Cruise Line - If you like to do it on the cheap!

MSC was chosen by a travel director thru family members. It was only a 4 day cruise. We had fun as a family, but there were too many negatives to go on this line again. We are not that experienced - 2 Norwegian and 1 Carnaval. The ship itself was ok, lots of mirrors for some reason, make it look bigger? Staff works hard to keep place clean and operational. Best part of the operation. ...

I decided to write a review for our MCS Fantasia cruise because I found there to be a lack of information out there on some basic questions and hope this will help fill in gaps for the next family that tries to partake on a cruise like this. Some of this will be review of the MSC cruise itself, and some other information that might help with planning and execution. Background: We took a ...
