Loved our Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

My wife and I took a cruise to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We chose the cruise for the itinerary: Genoa-Barcelona-Morocco-Canary Islands-Madiera-Malaga-Rome. We read the reviews prior to taking the cruise and it seemed the majority of complaints were from Americans stating the cruise was too European. The cruise consisted of approximately 85% Europeans and 15% North American/English ...

We thought the price was exceptional and we were very interested in all the ports that we got to stop at. I had read a lot of negative reviews before our cruise and if I had read them before booking I definitely would not have chosen to sail on the MSC Fantasia. I am happy to report though, that I loved the cruise and feel that staff did their best to accomodate our needs and at all times we found ...

Our 10th cruise in c 20 years. Cruise Points- MSC Fantasia, Eastern Mediterranean Fly-Cruise. March 16. If you like P&O you probably will not like MSC. MSC is much more International/European though English is spoken everywhere, except for some of the deckhands. Many staff are from Indonesia, so have English as their first “foreign language”. Most passengers were, in order, Italian, French, ...

Booked our trip to begin three days before boarding ship, wanted enough time to get over jet lag. Our trip was to be done in three legs as we started in Az. a long way from Genoa, our final destination to board ship. Arriving early was a great thought as we had plenty of time to rest up and get our first taste of Italian cuisine and hospitality. Embarkation was probably our worst time as it ...

This was our second MSC cruise and value for money you can't beat it. We really enjoy our cruise with MSC small little things to be aware off but don't let it put you off. Meal time in the buffet were very busy with no order for queuing for food lots of people walking around with trays looking for tables so avoid the busy times. . Food in the buffet was excellent with plenty of choice great ...

What an Awful Cruise

The cruise problems started with the checkin where 2500 people were held in the check in area for up to 3 hours with the staff being totally incapable. They had signs that said "information" as you walked into the hall which most people bypassed as the sign on the escalators said check in with an arrow! I have photos but nowhere to post them. The only toilet in the checkin area was overflowing ...

It was for my friends and me the second cruise with MSC ships and as we had high expectations, somehow were afraid that something or anything might went wrong. But it was again very pleasant experience, in spite of the early winter time. The weather was great and sunny, time on the ship passed by quickly and with many opportunities for entertainment, bars and restaurants very efficient and ...

A Perfectly Lovely Ship, a Perfectly Average Cruise

With 5 cruises under our belts (3 in the last 9 months) we believe we are experienced cruisers. Admittedly, the first 4 cruises were all with Royal Caribbean (variety of size of ships) and this last 5th cruise was with MSC Fantasia – where it all went downhill. Nothing was substantially wrong, but it all adds up. A few examples: · GENERALLY UNHELPFUL STAFF. Whilst there are some staff ...

We have sailed MSC before- they are not Princess but for the money a great deal. We love Rome so we make use of these cruises. Food was ok--we do not have great expectations for food--we are easy in that regard. Room service every morning to kick start the day then the buffet for breakfast. Service was good but of course not like Princess. Cabin balcony was great. Shows were so so again ...

MSC cruise to Abu Dhabi and Dubai the destinations were wonderfull But I'm afraid the cruise entertainment in the theatre was acrobats and jugglers 5 of the 7 nights one night was good. The cabin was great very clean and spacious.and cleaned twice a day The Dining in the Buffet was acceptable (JUST) but was just like feeding time at the zoo. The Restaurant were clean and the seating good ...
