We chose this cruise as a 25th anniversary present. When we got on board we had to wait 3 hours for our cabin. The cabin was lovely ,clean spacious with a/c. The buffet was good at off peak times no order or system at peak times. We were meant to have evening meal in Red Velvet restaurant we tried it once very limited menu , small portions and no coffee at end of meal. We then found the text me ...

This 7 night MSC cruise on Fantasia was part of an Imagine package including two days at the Dubai rugby 7's and four nights at the Dubai Marriott Marquis hotel.. The latter two were quite excellent but, sadly, the Fantasia cruise turned out to be a major disappointment.. My wife and I have cruised something like 15 times previously, but this was our first with MSC and was by far the worst cruise ...

Nice cabins, which were kept clean a few times during the day. But: * poor food (most of the times is was not warm) * poor space around the swimmingpool; it meant that on a sunny day we were forced to stay inside as there was simply no space left outside or we could just sit on the edge of the swimmingpool itself for the whole day. * very poor customer service. Especially because they ...

Yacht Club Experience

Just got back from an amazing experience on MSC Fantasia in a Yacht Club deluxe suite. The Yacht Club is described as a ship within a ship and it certainly is. Couldn't fault anything, the service was exceptional from start to finsh. Embarkation was absolutely painless we were escorted through the terminal by a Yacht Club butler who took care of the paperwork whilst we relaxed with a drink, ...

We booked this cruise so that we could go to the Dubai 7's, As we sailed on the Saturday we missed the final but that was fine as we had a great week to follow it up. My review is for Yacht club as we spent most of our time in this area of the ship so it would be wrong to try and cover the rest of the ship in too much detail. The service we recieved was exceptional, nothing was too much ...

Fantasia by title; Disappointing by nature

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

Joined the ship in Rome which was smooth and effortless. Ship is lovely and clean, balcony cabin was par for the course albeit cupboard space a bit tight for 17 days, shame our maid lacked the little touches, like ensuring we had the correct number of towels. One rather annoying feature of our balcony was the regular cleaning of the ship outside which washed all the flakes of paint and dirt onto ...

We joined the cruise at Barcelona, as did many others. There was one girl directing people and one desk open. It was a shambles. The staff of Fantasia have no concept of queueing. They brought a party in front and signed them in in front of everyone. By 8am all the sunbeds were taken or should I say covered with towels. Some of the people who had taken them never turned up at all. The ...

A most wonderful break on MSC Yacht Club

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

I spent 3 nights on MSC Fantasia, sailing from Genoa to Barcelona, Marseille and then back to Genoa. It was short but absolutely wonderful, mediterranean winter sailing at his best on the finest of all ships. I stayed in the Yacht Club, which is to say MSC cruises luxurz experience: larger cabins, a dedicated lounge, restaurant, a personal buttler to accomodate any of my needs right there and ...

This is our third cruise. Every year my friend and I taking short cruise to get away from kids, husbands, relax and spend a few days to do what we want to do. I can't fault MSC Fantasia. Embarkation very quick, no waiting or pushing. You have to stay in line for some time for a security check, but in this times nobody can complain that they take security of the ship seriously. Ship is very clean, ...

Everything, but everything has to be paid for.

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

I chose this cruise because I had previously sailed on the OPERA on her maiden voyage, that was wonderful. I had expected this cruise to match that one. I was wrong. Everything, but everything had to be paid for, right down to water on the table for dinner. Every other cruise I have done (19 up to now) had supplied iced water in a jug at dinner. I am not a wine drinker and so opted for water ...
