We planned this trip last fall for my husband 70th birthday!!! There were 4 couples and this trip was very fun and enjoyable!!! But who knew we would not need jackets and we did not bring enough summer clothes.
The scenery was first rate, the ports all had something different to offer and my husbands all time favorite was the train in skagway. He is a train enthusiast and model train guy. He ...
Our grandson really wanted to see Alaska and we chose Pearl because we wanted him to see Glacier Bay. We also took his cousin along. She was equally excited. Because of the age difference we chose the two bedroom suite which was our first experience with a suite. We had been on the Pearl before long ago, through the Panama. The updates to the ship were good. The big surprise was the number ...
I really enjoyed my trip on the Norwegian Cruise line. We had a balcony but there are beautiful views everywhere on the ship. My favorite room was the Spinnaker Bar on the 13th floor. There are huge wrap- around windows with lots of comfy chairs and couches. They take care of you and the food is excellent. Be sure to do the excursions to experience Alaska on the land. I loved all the excursions ...
This was our first cruise. We had such a great time! We originally booked an inside room, but then put in a bid for a balcony upgrade. Two days before the cruise we were awarded an aft facing balcony room. We were so excited! The room (8134) was directly over the wake and directly above the Bliss Lounge. Although the wake was actually quite noisy, it was white noise and watching it was ...
This was the first cruise experience for my husband and I, so prior to scheduling it, our travel party of six polled friends and family on social media, Facebook, to get recommendations for a cruise line. Holland was ranked the favorite by everyone, with Norwegian coming in second, followed by the Princess cruise line. Even though the package price for Norwegian was much more than others, we ...
We had heard great things about Norwegian; however, unfortunately ended up a bit disappointed. Entertainment was just okay. Food was just okay and the same menu was served over and over again.
O'Sheehan's restaurant was outstanding!
Customer Service Department tended not to know what they were doing and their first response was always why they couldn't give you what you needed. Towards ...
embarkation and disembarkation were extremely well organized
beautiful ship easy to move around although the elevators were very crowded
missed a window and were unable to upgrade. if i booked another cruise it would have to be a cabin with a balcony
very disappointed that there was no provision made for vegan/vegetarians, this was disappointing as i did get fed up of easing ...
My husband and I chose the Pearl to go to Alaska. We usually cruise in suites which we initially did. We bid on a Haven Owners Suite and won the bid. I contacted pre-concierge for new luggage tags and while I was on the phone, the very nice NCL lady asked what we wanted to be in our room when we got there. From past experience, I know that doesn't always get done but I gave her my list anyway. ...
The most beautiful scenery! The mountains, glaciers, waterfalls and wildlife were outstanding. I would loved to have seen more whales but what I did see, was something I’ll never forget. Excellent food and service. We chose three special meals for the week and all three were a delightful treat. We choose the steak house, the Japanese steakhouse and an Italian night. Great bartenders. Our ...
I chose this particular cruise because our family wanted to experience Alaska. We had time to have lunch and watch fish throwing at Pike's Market before embarkation, which went smoothly. NCL had an area to store our bags for several hours while we toured Seattle. My husband and I traveled with my thirteen year old son and his 14 year old friend, all staying in one small interior room. During down ...
