My husband and I have talked with my brother and sister-in-law about taking an Alaskan Cruise for 25 years and finally had the opportunity to take one on 8/19/18. Although my husband was a little sad he didn't get to see any bears, the cruise was everything I hoped it would be! We went on fun excursions and enjoyed relaxing on the cruise ship as well.
Our Cabin Steward, Eduardo, was so ...
TRIP REPORT
EMERALD PRINCESS
SEATTLE ALASKA RETURN
AUGUST 19-26-2018
This voyage is a long anticipated high school friend’s reunion, leaving our dear families at home. I ventured off to enjoy my 31st cruise (My Baskin Robbin’s Cruise - get it!?) and my friends, were on their very first cruise!
Although we live in Canadian cities, we chose a Seattle departure and an ...
We chose this cruise because my Girlfriend never sailed to Alaska. i have been three times before. i knew i made the right decision. i have never sailed Princess cruise lines and i was a little bit uneasy but i went with them.
The price was very competitive, We got a MINI SUITE fabulous accomodations. The view from the private balcony was outstanding. i can still see the whales frolicking ...
Embarkation and disembarkation on the Emerald was the quickest and smoothest we have ever had.
Ship was clean and enjoyable!
Our cabin steward, Winston, was a dream come true, If we needed anything, Winston was easy to find and if we needed anything, he would stop what he was doing to accommodate us.
Dining, perfect staff! Arkadvsz Przybyl (Archie), head waiter, along with Jayson and ...
We had personally looked into several cruise lines and found Princess to be competitive in price. Our travel agent booked our cruise for us on Princess because of their anniversary special. We have cruised with Princess in the past and were quite happy with our previous cruises. However, the Emerald Princess was dated and felt overcrowded wherever you went. There was not enough seating ...
This was our first cruise experience ever. I did quite a bit of research on the internet and on youtube before deciding on an Alaska Cruise.
We wanted something we could do in 1 week (short in case we discovered cruising is not our thing). We wanted it local so we wouldn't have to fuss with flight travel. We live in WA so it was an easy drive to Seattle to embark.
Since it was for our 10 ...
My retired parents decided to take a cruise to Alaska and took myself and my son (16 years old) and my daughter (8 years old) along with them. I have cruise on other cruise lines in the past, but this was my first time on Princess.
No matter where we went, we were always greeted with a smile. The staff are very eager to impress and ensure you have an amazing vacation.
My daughter and I ...
We chose the Emerald Princess because I read that they could feed me gluten free safely. We were told repeatedly that immediately upon embarking we should find the Matre D'. We dropped off our bags and went directly to our dining room where the person at the door told us we could not speak to the Matre D' wand would need to wait till dinner. I argued my point several times but they refused to ...
This cruise was chosen for my by family members, to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. I was excited to go to Alaska and Canada. This cruise exceeded my expectations and went beyond. Everyone in our 14 person party had a great time. We were never bored, in fact I wanted more time during my day so I could do more activities. I was often trying to decide which activity to participate in. The ...
We left out of Seattle and we had planned on having time to get some water and other items we wanted on the ship but did not want to take on the airplane. When we landed at the airport it was a crap show from the get go. The staff at baggage claim took about an hour to check confirm what we had purchased even though we all had confirmation numbers. They also check your passport and your id here. ...
