This was a round trip cruise to Hawaii. Great itinerary. PROS We have done 44 cruises and this was the first time I could understand the captain, he was excellent in his reports and explanations. The whole crew was very friendly and helpful. A great attitude by all of them.Probably the best service we ever had. The public areas are well maintained, traditional, and comfortable. Entertainment ...

My wife and I have both reached the Elite Level with Princess Cruise Lines, in addition to having taken maybe a half dozen cruises with other lines. This cruise was our 17th on Princess, over a period of about 7 or 8 years. We felt that the new Princess program would follow through and recognize their most frequent passengers in some meaningful way, and we enjoyed traveling on their ships. Our ...

Great cruise except for the embarkation and bad weather.

Would have been a really great Cruise if it wasn't for the weather. The rain in LA caused Princess to really fall down on the job as far as caring for it's customers during this storm. We were forced to line up outside in the rain to get through security before check-in while our luggage was left out in the rain for over an hour. Unpacking was a nightmare looking for places to hang up all the wet ...

We actually took this cruise because our good friends wanted to go to Hawaii and they like sea days. I'd read previous reviews , most of which were negative. Everyone was complaining about the condition of the Emerald Princess and how poor the staff were and bad food on board. WELL, I want to tell you they are all wrong!! The ship is due for a referb but it's by no means shabby. Everything was ...

This was an amazing trip. We enjoyed our time on the cruise start to finish. From the Captain to the pizza chef, we felt everyone was working to meet our expectations. Our cabin was laid out well and we had a super Stewart called Antonio. The meals were good and the service excellent. We had pizza a few times and it was very tastee. There was a varied schedule of events that were always well ...

Had a great time except for the weather

I always wanted to go to Hawaii and figured this would be a good taste. Really enjoyed the trip except for the pouring rain on embarkation and the storm that followed us all the way home. The temps were lower than expected. Temp in Ensenada Mexico was only 52 and was very windy on the ship with temps being only low 60,s most of the time. Most people packed for Caribbean weather and it was low ...

It was an easy cruise to get to since we live in Arizona. We just wanted to get away on a cruise where we could just relax so we looked forward to the sea days. Plus we love the Hawaiian Islands so we always look forward to going back there. The entertainment was outstanding. We felt the entertainers were the best combination we have ever had on a cruise. Our room steward (Enrico), dining ...

The way to see Hawaii

Ports and excursions. Great way to see 4 islands in Hawaii without the hassle of plane rides, car rental, accommodations, food, etc. Each island is unique. Maui had an unbelievable number of whales. There were about 10,000 in the area and we were there in peak whale watching season. Oahu was crowded but we did the hop on hop off experience. Saw and climbed Diamond Head, Boy for snorkeling as ...

Food and entertainment were disapointing

The destination was awecome. We loved Hawaii! But, the food on The Emerals Princess was very disappointing. It was never hot on the Horizon buffet. The omlets were jujst not good, somehow and the selection limited, at least for my taste. The quality of the beef in the dining room was inferior to previous cruises. Somehow, we just never cared for the offerings in the dining foom which is unusual ...

Fabulous Luxury Aboard the Emerald.

We selected this cruise because I wanted to have a string of at sea days to relax and enjoy the ship. Princess cruises have fabulous itineraries and our cruises have been dedicated to touring the ports on other cruises leaving scant time for enjoying the ship itself. Princess is a favorite because it is a cruise liner in the traditional sense. No mountain climbing or amusement park at sea. ...
