Embarkation was very efficient and swift, got to the port via Park N Go at 1:15 and on board by 1:40 p.m. Went to the Endless pool on deck 9 for a quick drink and slice of pizza. Very easy embarkation other than the longer than expected wait parking our car at the KSA remote lot. This makes our 4th Carnival cruise (Miracle, Victory, Dream, and Freedom). This was mine and my husbands third cruise, this was our second on Carnival. After searching the possible cruises back in January, we found this one to be the best for us. Disappointing to say the least. We have cruised every year for the past 21 years, mostly on Carnival. I realize the cruise fare is fairly low, but we did not get a bargain basement price. Just back from the Carnival Freedom on Sunday. It was fantastic!  Let me start by saying that this was my 8th cruise (5th on Carnival) and it was by far the best. This was a last minute decission for us to go because i was waiting on passports to get in mail. My husband couldn't go because of work so it was myself, daughter and sister-inlaw. Overall- a good time with family and friends on the Freedom. We were a group of 21. Embarkation was quick we were asked to not show up until 2pm but showed up around 11:30am. I had three ,carnival gift cards, presented them at check-in they weren't sure how to enter them so it slowed down the process slightly. Overall not much of a wait. This was our first cruise and we took our 5 girls, ages 13, 11, 10, 9 and 8 .. And had an absolute blast .. Stayed at the CAMBRIA SUITES in Dania Beach the night before (Feb.7th) .. It was great .. No complaints ... $5 pp shuttle to port .. I believe every hour .. SUBWAY and some Cuban Restaurant are within a 10 min. walk .. Oakwood Plaza is further and has more options .. $20 taxi R/T ...

Here is my overview of our recent trip on the Carnival Freedom – 6 Night Western Caribbean. We are a pretty laid-back couple (late 30’s) and this was our first cruise together (I sailed on RCL in 2005). Ft.
