Oasis is a great ship --- lots to do, great staff, wonderful dining opportunities. We loved our cruise, but feel we need to mention two negatives.
On Oasis, you can purchase a beverage package for soda. Their are seven soda machines on the ship, four in Windjammer Cafe. As any given time, several of them are broken; also, when the Windjammer is closed, 4 of the 7 are inaccessible. We paid ...
We chose this cruise because we were RCCL Loyalists. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. Service had declined in many areas from the number of dining room attendants per table to what is offered on the menu to even getting freshly ground pepper on your salad.
The shows although extravagant, were actually boring. for example the ice show had a child's theme.
When in a port of ...
Went on RC Oasis with a family group of ten out of Port Canaveral, Jan 28..........
Our embarkation went a smoothly as any ship we have ever been on. For some 6,000 passengers, RC has this down very well out of Port Canaveral. I think we were aboard it under 20 minutes. We carried our own bags off and this also went fairly fast.
We had three cabins for our group with balcony's over the ...
Embarkment was fast. We dropped our luggage and parking was a breeze. Once on ship we ate lunch in the windjammer. Never seemed liked their was 6450 people aboard our ship. This was my second cruise. I Loved IT!!!!! can't wait till my next one. The service was amazing. The food plentiful....something for everyone.....Ship is beautiful....my favorite hang out spot was the solarium....had dinner in ...
This was a group tour. The ship is nice, but the cruise is all about the ship. I prefer to see new ports and experience new sights. The Central Park in the Oasis class of ships is really great. Its nice to see plants when sailing for 3 days with nothing to look at but water. The food in the main dining room was very good. Service in the dining room was slow, but friendly, and they tried to ...
We travelled with kids so we were looking for activities and enterteinment for them. DreamWorks experience was a good option.
Good quality and variety of food. Waitress and all staff in dining and eating places great
confortable cabin for 4 (since we are a family of 5, I d like to know if there are cabins for 5, this time we travelled with my mother in law, so we used two cabins).
The ...
Cabins are not well maintained (sheets were torn, modeling coming off). Also, service in dining and activities suffers. Not the crew's fault, it's simply too large to provide a quality experience that you would expect if you've cruised on other lines/ships. On the first night in the main dining room they could not find our table so we were left standing there for 10 minutes. The food, while ...
We recently cruised on a B2B with another couple. We have been on a few Voyager class ships before as well as Oasis & Allure and enjoyed those cruises very much. The customer service on Oasis this time was terrible. We encountered numerous problems and spent hours at Guest Services trying to get them resolved. I had a $50 onboard credit that they screwed up and I never received while onboard. ...
Embarkation & Disembarkation went smoothly & quickly.
There was not a ton of places to view the ocean - which I enjoyed a lot in previous cruises.
The main dining was fair. A lot of the same foods over and over again. We opted for a dining package and enjoyed both the Hibachi Restaurant as well as Chopped. The entertainment kept getting canceled because of the sea conditions. At one point, ...
We were asked to join other family members, who have traveled with RCI and are loyal guests of the line.
We were not sure if cruising was for us, but we were very pleasantly surprised! The ship is very well equipped and cared for, and the staff are second to none.
We had often heard about cruise line food, and thought it was just because of the quantity. However, we were blown-away by the ...
